I'm sure the zoo keepers are on top of things, but it scares me when Kintaro plays "chicken" with that heavy door!! He's a cutie with the blanket. I feel badly for Genki because it seems Kintaro is always being fresh with her!! Have some respect little guy!!
Gentaro messing with the visitors by rapping the window is so funny. 😅 It's also adorable when he cleans off his carrots by rubbing them on his furry arm ( a built-in wash cloth). I noticed Kintaro trying to steal Genki's food..naughty boy. 😊 Thanks for the video, Ryan. ❤ Blessings.
I’m a believer in Occam’s Razor and Gentaro’s overt ramming of the glass looks like he’s trying to get out. His expression in many of the videos looks like he is unhappy and frustrated.
I enjoy watching Gentaro's displays of strength. Unlike some other viewers, I do not believe he's trying to escape. Some frustration, perhaps, but he is a young silverback still learning his position within the troop. We all want what's best for Gentaro, a happy life, and hopefully within the next few years, we'll see some major changes.

Gentaro Seems to be more 'fascinated and intrigued' with 'Young Children' especially the 'under 10yrs old' 🥰 However he does NOT like Adults that 'Stare Directly At Him' for too long that 'incites him' to Bang the Glass.. And kintaro was really having a Fun Time with his Blanket.😍

For commenters that are concerned, No Gentaro is not trying to escape because he is frustrated, he’s ramming the window out of dominance, if he was trying to escape he would look for weak spots in the roof, or he would be generally doing more damage to the window then just tapping it. Be assured none of these wonderful gorillas are board in any way!

Gentaro’s banging on the glass can mean many things. It can be a way of greeting visitors, it can mean a show of dominance, it can mean an expression of anger or stress. I don’t think it means he’s trying to get out, however. I don’t think he would associate a window with getting out. If he wanted to get out, he would probably choose a “softer” location that would give him more of a chance to do so. (My opinion)

Gentaro,puede que se haga más grande que Momotaro. Ha sacado muchos genes de la familia de Genki.Pero Kintaro los ha sacado de Momotaro. Se está volviendo muy plateado,con 6 años recien cumplidos.Los dos son muy buenos gorilas.
Poor Kintaro after he was born Genki still couldn’t make/produce enough milk so they had to bottle feed Ken also through the mesh. He wasn’t getting enough milk so it made him smaller… my beautiful Genki is a wonderful Mum but she or her body just wouldn’t cooperate and develop breastmilk for the boys.😢😢😢
Sorry Gl but your big baby Gentaro is a silverback now. The new visitors are right they not mistaken! Lol you don't want u baby to grow up I understand! Ha
🧨 GL ....The gorillas space area is very boring them / they're deserving more luxurious space and items to play with ....⚠️ these wonderful gorillas 🦍 need more lush spaces & to be active, play and relax! I hope for them effective changes because their living situation is particularly boring, even stressful! .... there is 1 person (high status) in the Emirates who runs 1 natural park for the protection of certain animals, (reserve of lions, tigers, birds, primates etc ...) he is a philanthropist, .... The zoo managers should ask him, or GL?! .... (generous donations evaluated according to the need and the urgency of the request ... studies, health-surgery, preservation, etc ...)....
You seem to not know much about the Momotaro family, they have plenty of space! In addition to the beautiful outdoor exhibit they have a whole other second outside area to run around in that we can’t even see! Along side a very big and spacious inside area we also cannot see, not to mention they have a network of tunnels and and a whole basement for bedrooms too. They are definitely not bored and have plenty of space. Stop spreading negativity!
