    Also if you want to see how the S24 Plus fares then check out my latest video here where we compare the S24 Ultra and S24 Plus as well:

    Most tests show that the S24U is optimised for one run of benchmarks. No doubt to boost marketing and bragging rights. All OEMs do it, but Samsung OTT here means it saturates the phone quicker, leading to terrible stability. I expect that once the pre-order period and reviews have passed, Samsung will lower the first-run performance to sustain better performance in subsequent runs.
    Of course, real-life tests matter, and I doubt the CPU/GPU will need to run as fast as in benchmarks to facilitate 99% of day-to-day usage.
    An iterative upgrade and hard to recommend over the S23U. But I did upgrade to just get my hands on a flat display as I have been waiting a long time for a sensible Ultra display.
    Thanks!

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  5 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah I hope running 3 tests in a row and getting an average gives a better result where possible.

    • @filmboy18
      @filmboy18 5 месяцев назад

      There is also the possibility these things could get fixed with updates like a more optimised kernel and tuned voltages for the SOC to reduce temperatures and in turn increase performance. The S24 series is not even officially launched into retail yet so everyone is judging the performance prematurely.

SD 8 Gen 4 is going to be laughable with 4GHz clocks on X core. You also get a good idea what's going worng when you find out SD 8 Gen 3 has a peak power usage now of 17.4W, which is large tablet, class and U series apu's from AMD and Intel. SD 8 Gen 4 will probably push 20W peak power.

    I can't find enough reason to upgrade from my S22 Ultra (SD 8G1). While the display brightness increase seems nice, it seems they botched vivid mode for the display. Camera processing is a hit and miss between the s23 ultra, and isnt really a substantial enough upgrade. The boost in performance seems nice, but as your test shows, it's not a very stable performance.. Likely intentionally done to optimize battery life and look good on battery tests. Those boost in performance numbers alone aren't worth the money to me at this time. There was also zero increase in battery capacity or charging speed. Gonna have to vote with my wallet on this one and maybe they'll decide to give the phone a real upgrade next year or on the S26.

    I have s22u exynos, and I got 1.15m points on antutu. A bit powerful than s22u sd on this vid.

    I traded my s23ultra for s24ultra because i coudlnt resist the offer they had £600 trade plus £50 extra and in double storage free gifts worth £200 included couldnt resist all this. But yeah

      @AndroidAddicts  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah with offers like that it'd be 'criminal' not to take them up. I imagine there'll be a lot of Galaxy Watch 6's on eBay now 😂

      @AndroidAddicts but seems like the s23ultra beats the s24ultra when loading apps etc comparing that the s24ultra has a new chipset but slightly behind s23ultra when loading and fast etc what do you think? As you have done the test on both.

      None taken 👌 and no one really needs a benchmark to use a phone. People just have an interest as to whether their new phone is faster than their previous one
