When I played this as a kid I remember my dad being super impressed with the music, because the last time he had played a mario game not only were the graphics 8-bit but so was the music.

This is the best soundtrack of any Mario game in my opinion, I even have the OST CD and often listen to it, its just amazing
My favorite is the version of Buoy Base that plays underwater. It's so epic and inspirational!
Buoy Base is my favorite song in the game, but Gusty Garden Galaxy is a close second
This is an amazing list. Made me cry a bit because of the nostalgia. This game and Mario Wii made my childhood and was all I play so this felt so good to watch. Great list and thanks for the good memories 🙂
Buoy Base is my personal favorite and Final Bowser Battle comes in a close second. It’s a shame they weren’t used very much though, but thankfully they both made a return in Galaxy 2. Overall, great list!
Buoy Base Galaxy is a banger for sure, and Final Bowser Battle is waaaaay too intense for a Mario game haha. If only Galaxy 2 was included in 3D All Stars...

wait final bowser battle theme was in smg2? ik buoy base was put im pretty sure galaxy 2 had its own versoin, which wasn't as good as smg1's

I love Gusty Garden because of the energy. But I think the one song he's missing is Luma/Rosalina's storybook.
Gusty Garden is overrated imo. It's a great song, but it's instresting to me that for many people, this is the first song that comes up when talking about galaxy, even though it's in the middle of the game. I would have thought that the most memorable song from the game will be the first level, Good Egg Galaxy, just like Bomb-Omb Battlefield is in SM64.
My favorites are Battlerock Galaxy, Followed by Megaleg (can't believe it's not on your list!) and the airship remix from Mario 3.
I can respect that, and I was super close to putting Megaleg on the list. There are just too many amazing Galaxy songs!
#24 song is also played in daredevils before you fight the boss

I recently started playing Minecraft and watching mcyt streamers, I was watching tommyinnits stream and I heard music playing, it sounded very familiar to me, it was the gusty garden galaxy theme. I truly love that music

i agree that gusty garden is overrated, but that still shouldn't take away from how great Gusty Garden is. I still think it would be #10, behind songs like the final bowser battle, buoy base, star festival, space junk, family, comet observatory, good egg and luma
