Yeah while super mario party was disappointing it was still a step up from MP10. Even though the boards sucked and there was only 4 boards at least they got rid of the stupid car gimmick where everyone moved together on boards and mario top 100 didnt even have regular boards in the first place.
i dont know i dont find mp10 that bad, only the main board mode kinda sucks, the bowser mode's pretty fun and the minigames may just be the best in the entire series
That's fair, it is more strategy game. But even then, it feels like a charming one in style but still bit underwhelming in gameplay and very bland with story.
@@drnanard9605 Yes it is. I agree that the story is boring, but the gameplay is what really makes it bad. Not only is the gameplay repetitive, but also extremely difficult, and as a slap to the face for players who are new to strategy games, the so called “easy mode” barely does anything. The only thing it does is that it gives you extra health and does nothing to weaken the enemies. It’s really not accessible for players who are new to strategy games. It just comes to show that Ubisoft panders to their hardcore gamer audience.
Super Mario Party's boards may not be good, but at least it has boards. Everyone seems to forget about Top 100, which is literally just a minigame compilation, and it's an okay minigame compilation at best.
Agree. Also Super Mario Party has brought so many new and good things into the series. There are the modes, like Partner Party, sound stage, rafting and the 80 minigame challenge path (can't remember it's name). Then we have the characater roaster, giving us many new characters fans like to play as. We got the character specific dices, which leads to a bit lore strategy on who you play and which dice you use. Also the minigames were so fun. Don't ubderstand how many don't like motion control. It is what made sport and party games on the Wii fun and it works very well on the Switch. Also it makes it harder and not just "push that button at the right time" style (which gets boring very quickly). Did it have only four boards? Yes. But technically it had more variaty in playing than many others (also the 4 boards were nice and had new features (like King Bomb explosions, the island hopping and colapsing bridge, the rolling boulder trap,...)). It already has 5 different modes, and then the Party-modes have 4 boards, the sound stage has 3 modes (yes, even the hard mode is different, since the levels are much harder than in the normal mode). Also I liked the "moving star" thing, which gave a little more urgency and strategy on when to use your items like the golden pipe.
Has he even played Mario+rabbids 😂 All the stuff he complained about just aren’t that big of problems and are what gives the game character. The game is sometimes kinda hard because of the lack of checkpoints, but that’s the point. And the bosses in this game are so unique. Bro really must be going mad, literally no one other than him hates this game
He made it seem like the game itself is flawed when in reality he probably just doesn't like these types of games, which if he doesn't then that's fine, but should of made it more clear if that were the case. I will be frank, I don't care about the game either so much as others really do, but I genuinely don't agree with his take so much on it either. I'm just not a fan of XCOM-esque gameplay, that's about it.
To be fair because everything is in it's own series the list coniststed of Mario+ Rabbids 1, 2 and Super mario rpg. So one of these had too go at the bottom.
My guy, Mario + Rabbids is a tactical strategy RPG. If you don't like that type of game style, then you obviously wouldn't enjoy Mario + Rabbids. But to put it in the same category as Super Mario RPG does both games an injustice because they're not the same type of RPG. I personally love it M+R because I love Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, both of which are tactical strategy RPGs. And I enjoyed it far more than Super Mario RPG which is saying something because I also really love SMRPG. But everyone has their own opinions. As for mine, I would not say Bowser's Inside Story is the best. I can't stand the stupid mic mechanic in the giant Bowser fights which kinda soured my enjoyment for the game. I liked Dream Team more then BIS which still doesn't compare to the original that is Superstar Saga
Ok, I’m sorry. It’s not my fault Switch Stop despises Kingdom Battle with the reason of having high expectations for the game. It does what it was made to do and preforms better for some than others. But he NEEDS to let it go. The game isn’t bad and the levels are unique enough for fans of the series. But Switch Stop. STOP, with the verbal backlash. Why can’t you actually respect that people like this game and they can have their own opinions on it. It’s just being rude about people’s opinions, and not respecting boundaries you clearly can’t change by being rude.
I don't care what you think of Mario + rabbids kingdom battle that game is amazing Also I love the sequel but first one always had my heart I really hope they make a third game
I think the reason why Mario + rabbids kingdom battle is beloved by many (me personally as well) is because I don’t view as Mario rpg rather I view it as a Mario + rabbids game (like the title bluntly suggest). The aspect of Mario world being ruined by the rabbids is all over the visuals, combat stages are place on a liner path true to Mario’s a to b nature but also has branching paths of random rabbids doing stuff and a TON of collectibles. The combat to mechanics are fun to me due to how every character is specialised that fits with their personality (for instance Luigi is sniper that is better than everyone at damage but he has the lowest health so he is forced to always hide or stay in the back) the game purely strategic something other Mario rpgs have to by instinct when attacks or defend.(this is something sparks of hope fix later on) on the whole that makes it really unique to other Mario rpgs. There isn’t strong story cuz this game isn’t trying to have one, it’s Mario game no one has ever done before.
@TheDHono dude every single time someone in the comments says something positive about Mario + Rabbids you just come and say something bad about it. Stop it, is annoying
@@nintendoboy3605I’ve seen plenty of haters. I’m not one of them and Switch Stop’s take still sounds bad faith to me. Still their opinions at the end of the day, but I’ve yet to see a strong argument against either game.
@maevblog9955 the spark hunters likely won't return. If there is a 3rd game they're not gonna reuse sparks, therefore there wouldn't be a purpose for the spark hunters. Plus cursa was destroyed so they have no reason to return
@@TheDHono the problem of RPG's for me is that they are too easy if you are stacked and this game solves the problem. Btw there is baby mode at the start of every level
@@paro_09 I know that there’s an easy mode in Kingdom Battle. The only problem with it is that all it does is give you extra health and doesn’t do anything to weaken the enemies. @TheDHono ok dude stop hating on the game like wth. Well you can say that it is hard at some points but calling it extremely difficult is really weird. Sorry if im being disrespectful but i honestly love this game
I don't blame you for putting 3D World as the best 3D Mario game. My family and had it not long after the Wii U launched and we had fun with it ever since! It took what we loved from New Super Mario Bros. on the Wii and made it better!
@Sady845 Just a personal preference! The Galaxy games are good, I will say that. I mean, no Mario game beats its OSTs, especially the credits from MG2.
I can understand why 64 DS was put where it was, because there simply isn’t a 3D Mario game that’s inherently bad, but you can’t turn around and say that Super Mario Party is the worst when you have 9, 10, and the 3DS Mario Partys. Also... Kingdom Battle just isn't your game bro, you already lost if you went into that game expecting some big story. I don't even give a shit about Rabbids and Ubisoft, and I got a lot of enjoyment out of both Mario + Rabbids in the combat. Stringing together everything within the limitations of the characters you had felt satisfying. Very unique as a turnbased RPG, and I can understand if you don't enjoy it, but mfing Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine exists.
Idk what you’re talking about cause Mario+Rabbids as game is incredibly well made and loved by the community. I only played it a bit few years ago, wish I played it more though cause it’s highly rated for a reason
You’re wasting your time with that garbage game. It’s clearly a bad game as the story is boring and the gameplay is not only repetitive but also extremely difficult. Well yes there is an easy mode to this game that’s supposed to provide more accessibility for players who are new to strategy games, but the easy barely does anything. The only thing this so called easy mode does is give you extra health and nothing else to weaken the enemies. It just comes to show that Ubisoft panders to their hardcore gamer audience.
It’s kinda odd that despite being a numbered entry, a lot of people don’t talk about Mario Party 8. I can’t describe it but there’s just something about this one that feels….. different from other entries……in a good way, of course.
Mario kart tour is a great game that’s trying something new and different. I have enjoyed it for years and my one gripe when people complain about the game is that they only played it around when the game launched. As time went on in like year 2 of the game Mario kart tour became extremely fun.
@@Boltofbrilliance122 That's not what they meant. It's that since it's second year the game became more fun, since the devs improved much on the game. I still play it today and it's fun. Also it's the first MK in which you don't have to sweat or be angry over not winning, since in tour it's more important to do actions that give points than to win. Actions like jumpboost, slipstreams, drifting, collecting coims, hitting others with your items,... Also Tour brought back the character specific items, tons of cool retro tracks (only good looking version of Frappe Snowland) and new items (cat bell, hammers, ice flower,...)
My other favorite Mario games are Mario Party Ds, 3d Land, Galaxy 1 and 2, bowers Inside Story, Dream Team, Mario Kart Ds, wii, 8, Mario party on switch superstars, odyssey and the Mario party last year was disappointing
I'm so confused, what do you mean the Mario Party from last year? The last one was superstars and that was 2021, and we're waiting for the new one this October
For Mario and Sonic, I liked their entry on the Vancouver Winter Olympics, specifically the DS game... I don't know why, but I loved the Storyline on it, and the fact you were also playing some character specific minigames along the way, and looking trivia and memorabilia of previous Olympics in the same mode, it was very fun for me.
I would put Super Mario Bros Wonder as the best 2D (followed by Super Mario World) because of the unique powerups and gimmicks that the wonder flowers create
Also seems like he forgets that Top 100, 9, 10 and Advance exist. SMP is a much better game. And if his problem are the motion controlls then he clearly doesn't like the sport and party games on the Wii either, sibce they are motion controll as well and you have to calibrate the Wii-mote so often, while you don't have to on the switch. And only 4 boards doesn't mean it has no varity. Technically it's 8 boards, since the boards are very different, if you play Partner Party. And we have 5 different modes. No other MP has that much varity in what you can play. And normal Party gets bored after a while. That's why I was so disappointed in MP Superstars, since it is always the same sh*t. Minigames or normal party, without needing much strategy on the board, since there isn't even a choice on which way you go or which dice you roll (if you don't have an item).
Haven’t watched any of your other content on Mario + rabbids but I think why you get hate is discrediting others opinions. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean that other people are influenced by something else to like it. Also none of what you said about easing up would apply to sparks of hope, a sequel people also like
Agree. Color Splash was a nice game. Yes it has levels and yes, it doesn't have RPG typical fights with a level system. But it was fun. The setting was nice, our partner was nice. I liked the whole setting and story. Also the boss fights were some of the hardest fights in the whole RPG franchise, since you couldn't just attack a hundred enemys and then defeat the boss in three rounds without taking much damage. Also the puzzles, riddles and hidden easter eggs were fun as well. It's my fav Paper Mario game and I'm so happy to now finally having a working copy again (becauye my first copy broke) and can now finish the game.
I like the NSMB series, Super Mario Party and Mario Tennis Aces. They’re nowhere near as bad as people insist they are. I also think Origami King is my favourite Paper Mario game, and I’d rather play that over any of the rest of the games in the series (except Super Paper Mario).
How could you say that about Kingdom Battle!!😢 That game brings back so much nostalgia and I just love the boss fights and the amount of strategy you have to put in.
Super Mario party isn’t even CLOSE to worst. You are crazy putting as worst, without it we wouldn’t have gotten back to the old days and it was the game that finally started going back to the original with removing the cars. I’ll admit the boards were bland and it certainly isn’t my favourite but MP10, 9 , advance , island tour are all worse.
Agree with you there. Also what made the game stand out positively are the tons of things in the game that add variety, which leads to you not getting bored as quickly as most other MP games. We got 5 modes in that game (normal party, sound stage, Partner party, rafting and the challenge road), character specific dices, getting companions to help you by giving you 1-2 more spaces to move and you getting more variety by getting their specific dice. I din't understand, why so many complain about motion controlls, since it makes a game much more fun and not just "press this and that button" the entire time. Also there are minigames in which you don't have motion control (which are 52 of the 84 minigames), and on some of them the only "motion control" is you having to listen to vibrations of your joy con. Also on Wii everyone liked motion controlls in sport and party games, since that leads to more skill needed for winning, which made it fun. And on Wii the motion controls were much worse in certain games/modes. Have lost count on how often had to stop in the middle of a level to calibrate the Wii-mote, which I never encountered with a joy con.
@@viviennemackenzie3467 I think line he never actually plays Mario Party games for the mini games or modes but only for the boards. Because that is what Superstar is. Normal Party mode and that was it. Seems like Super is just too unique for him. That's also why he ranks MK Tour so low, he seems like he hates uniqueness
I think every single person that has played Kingdom Battle knows that you are tripping a little bit man, but other than that is a sincere list, and I respect that
Couple of thoughts about Mario+Rabbids: First, I had a lot of fun with the battle system. Probably a matter of taste, but it basically sounds like you weren't playing the same game I did. Maybe we have different play styles or specced out our characters differently. Second - I don't classify it as an RPG, I classify it as a strategy or tactics game, so the story doesn't matter so much to me. I'm not convinced the developers meant it to be an RPG either, hence the story not being as deep as a standard RPG.
First, not everyone had fun with the battles. For me, the game was really giving me a hard time around the mid to late game range to the point where I started hating it, and I was even playing it on the so called “easy mode” which barely does anything to make the game more accessible to newcomers of strategy games. Second, everyone classifies Kingdom Battle differently. Some consider it an RPG while others consider it to be a strategy game. Also, the story probably doesn’t matter to you because it is boring and nonexistent.
I don’t know how you enjoyed super Mario rpg so much on the switch. Maybe I just don’t under The mechanics of the game fully but I still only have the first 2 characters after like 7 hours of gameplay. Mario rabbits I personally put at the #1 spot of any rpg ever made, I put around 300 hours in the game and still come back around to it every now and again. Great video btw! Always enjoy them, - Star
Ranks Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi separately but lumps Mario + Rabbids and Mario RPG together. Yeah, no, you were absolutely desperate to find any excuse to smacktalk the M+R games. That's not cool. Puzzles & Dragons is right there. You must've conveniently forgot it!
Yeah, they’re drastically different in terms of gameplay. It’s like comparing chocolate to an eggplant. They have nothing in common except that they’re both edible foods.
Brother, Mario+Rabbids isn't even an RPG. It doesn't need a good story for the same reason X-COM doesn't. It's a strategy game. It focuses on gameplay. That's what this genre is all about. It's like complaining that Empire Earth doesn't have good story. It's a bit dumb to expect that from that type of game. It's repetitive, alright. Every single strategy game out there is repetitive. That's the point. You get the same tools every time, but the enemy placement is different, the map is different, so you need to adapt and come up with a new strategy. It's enough to make the game kind of diverse in terms of experience. You don't play the same against snipers that you do against brutes. You may not like that specific genre of games, that's fine, but that's not a flaw of the game. You don't even know what genre it's trying to be lol.
@@TheDHonodude that’s your opinion, everybody loves this game like bro stop trying to defend him like this game is the best game ever it’s just because you’re a hater of this game and stop commenting to everybody about that this game is very bad because that’s your opinion and now stop saying to everybody that it’s bad and trash
Tactical RPGs aren't for everyone, I don't blame him for not liking it, but putting it in the same category as Mario RPG is where he made the mistake, putting Mario RPG with Paper Mario games would've made much more sense lol
17:30 No the one that started it all was Donkey Kong 94 for gameboy and thats also what I would put as best "mario vs dk" game. While its technically not called "mario vs dk" but just "donkey kong" its actually exactly same type of game and mario vs dk is essentially its successor. Even the final boss in mario vs dk was basically the same but in mario vs dk donkey kong is just inside big robot while in DK94 donkey kong himself becomes a giant and it basically feels like youre fighting King Kong. The game also had great soundtrack (especially surprisingly good considering its on 8bit gameboy). Im actually wondering why they didnt remake that game instead of mario vs dk but it was definitely better and more epic than mario vs dk.
@@VioletSkyeOfficialyou’re right dude because I literally saw him commenting to others comments about that this game is so trash and saying that people are defending this game like bro shut the heck up nobody cares about that guy because he’s literally a hater of this game
Mario + rabbids Kingdom battle is an innovative concept, stimulating you to choose the best tactic and fighters. It has arguably the most funny soundtrack - the Phantom’s acts. I also don’t think the game is too repetitive in way of playing, as you encounter a great variety of new enemies and interesting boss battles. Furthermore, discovering different worlds and solving puzzles was nearly as fun as the battles. And then you could play with Cranky Kong (?!) in the DLC. Mario + Rabbids sparks of hopes is in almost every aspect better though. I honestly think both games are underrated.
For me the best mario kart is mario kart wii i love the chaos in there and the freedom lakitu gives you also the fact that you need to unlock characters and tracks by playing is also a big plus for me
How can you talk about Vancouver 2010 and not talk about the ds version with the adventure tours. That mode was incredibly good. I swear it is so underrated it’s incredible
I feel like most RUclipsrs just inherently don't like the DS and will always overlook the many gems it has to offer. Many of my favourite games are on the DS and are never mentioned, like this one! I feel like Mario Party DS is also often neglected, even though it has a really good story mode!
him going on a big tantrum about mario kart tour only to then say mk8 is the best because it has the most courses, characters and items of any game (and then specifically say "on a portable system") perfectly sums up this entire video
Same here. People who hate it, just don't like, that they afe forced to use motion control instead of just pressing the same button the entire game. They also complain about the lack of boards, but don't see that the game has much more varity than other MP games like Superstars, which only has one mode (normal party) and minigames. Things SMP has and (almost) no other game in the series has: -Bowser's minons as playable characters -custom/characterspecific dices -5 modes: challenge road, normal Party, Partner Party, Soundstage and Rafting -stars switching places on the board, which forces more strategy on when to use your items. It also can shift a game a 180 degree, enabling someone who had bad luck to get a chance at getting back up -the ability to choose which way to go, something (almost) no map has outside of SMP.
It's so funny watching people try to come up with justifications for hating Mario Kart Tour or Super Mario Run when clearly the only reason they don't like them is because they're mobile games.
Agree. I play both and like them because they are unique. Also Super Mario Kart and some of the older Super Mario 2d games are not even fun to play and people only vote them high because of nostalgia. Same with the Mario Party series. SMP is not even close to being the worst, it's actually a good game, but they hate on it, because it is something unique and they don't seem to like unique.
@@Dodaro10 SMK is just so bad. Tour is much better and you have more fun playing it. No janky controlls, no useless drifting. Just fun to play, not sweating to actaully only get 1st place, because you don't need 1st to get 5 stars. Tour is better than SMK and MK: SC by a mile. And SMR is also fun, because it's unique. It may be a 2D platformer, but it is so different to the others, because of it's diferent modes outside of normal world play (Remix 10, Toad Ralley,...) and the character running without you saying it, which gives the game some more difficulty, because you can't run back to something more than twice (bubble), just because you missed it. No fourth chance, my friends. But I actually like Mario Run more than the older platformers of the Mario franchise (everything before NSMB2/NSMB Wii).
I think i agree with you most of the time but the one point where i disagree is hating mario+rabbids. I have said it before and i will say it again: the rabbids built my childhood and in my opinion this crossover was legendary. I also really like the battle system. I do think that sparks of hope is almost a masterpiece. As far as kingdom battle goes i would say that it is good but not perfect. I would also put odyssey above 3D world but they are both fantastic so i understand your decision. Great video overall though
I love how his main criticism with Mario and Sonic at the 2020 Olympic games was the lack of dream events when Rio was sitting right there with a flat 0
Great to see some love for the Vancouver Olympics! I think I preferred the DS version for the story mode, but I would play the Wii version more for parties, so both are good choices. I mostly agreed with the rankings for all the Mario franchises other than the Mario Parties. I haven't played them all, but 6 is the best in my books. Surprised Mario Party Advance, Top 100, or Island Tour didn't take the worst slot (Of those 3 I've only played Island Tour).
Which games count for the RPG section? You said any that aren’t Paper or Mario and Luigi, so is it just 3 games? Mario RPG, Kingdom Battle, and Sparks of Hope? Sparks of Hope is top 5 switch games for me.
Personally I loved Mario + Rabbids but I understand that you didn't like it, it is indeed not as good as Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi. But Sparks of Hope was a lot better and since the First game sold 10 million copies and the sequel sold less but still 3 million, I think new games will probably be made in the future that will be even better.
how dare you criticize Mario plus rabbids, it is one of my favorite games on switch, the awesome levels that can be tackled in 100 different ways allowing for endless replayablity and fun. and the orb system that I can spend hours in trying to match my characters together to be as efficient as possible to kill all the enemy's. and that this game is actually challenging but fair.
How dare you defend Mario + Rabbids. It is my least favorite game of all time. The levels are extremely difficult to beat especially within the mid to late game. No matter what strategy I would try, I would still end up struggling, so I completely given up on it and I’m never playing Sparks of Hope because of it. Kingdom Battle is completely unfair to players who are new to tactical RPGs.

People treating mario maker 3ds like it's the worst game ever is hilarious to me. The conversion from wii u to 3ds came with very few caveats. The level creation itself is only missing the costumes from the wii u version. You can still play other people's levels (well, before the online was shut down). Sure, not being able to share your own levels is a downside, but this seems like something that most players wouldn't care about, and people just shit on it because they're copying what everyone else says about the game. The graphics maybe could be better, but I've heard sooo many times that Nintendo was lazy and should have used NSMB2 sprites instead because that game looks better. People who say this clearly haven't given it an ounce of thought because the sprites take up more of the screen in NSMB2
Bro if you are having trouble playing Super Mario 64 ds PLAY ON THE 3DS it has a D pad on it anyways so if you are complaining its not the same well you are right and wrong
Better still, play with the thumb stylus that came with the original DD in Touch Mode, which gives you full camera control with the X and Y n buttons and analog movement. It’s not as good as a real analog stick, but it’s far better than the dpad.
I had some pretty bad experiences with super Mario party cuz when I first got it my switch started having joy con drift And it wasn’t pro controller compatible so I had to just deal with it
If I'm being completely honest, I love Superstars to the moon and back. Me and my friends always get a kick out of it whenever we boot up our switches for a fun party, but I am SO happy to see Mario Party 8 get some spotlight! If it weren't for how split I am whether I like 8 or Superstars more, 8 is definitely my favorite Mario party. The boards, the gimmicks, the all out chaos! In my opinion, Mario Party 8 is a perfect example of what Mario Party is all about. Can't wait to see what jamboree offers us.
@@Rediscool9 If Mario Wonder had more challenge, had multiple save files, and allowed you to use the X button to run, then maybe it’d be closer. But even then, it still wouldn’t have the replayability that 3 has going for it.
Right? Tour is so underrated, just because it is unique, just like SM Run. It has brough so many things back into the series. Half pipes came back in Tour (and only returned later in 8 because they were on Merry Mountain, which is a tour track), we got tons of new items, character specific items came back, we got "costumization" with the different outfits for characters, got tons of well made and cool looking retro tracks (Frappe Snowland is peak!) and original tracks (Merry Mountain, Ninja Hideaway, Sky-High Sundea, Yoshi's Island,...) and it was the first MK that didn't force you to win to get your rewards. You can get 5 stars on every track without having to win, if you do enough actions to get enough points. It's fun and SMK is just so frustrating to play that it is the only game I neither own not do I have it on an emulator. I take DD's mechanics everyday over having to play SMK only once.
Super Mario Party not being a return to form? Ehhhh that's debatable but I can see why you found it disappointing but worse than Mario Party 10!? Damn.
Imo Mario party 10 at least had bowser mode. It was unbalanced, but could be fun with the right people. Everything SMP tried was either done better with other games, or straight up bad
@@SwitchStop Bowser mode was no fun. Super Mario Party has 5(!) modes, 4 of them unique to the game. We have characterspecific dices, boards in which we can finally choose the way we are going (forcing more strategy from the players) and every board has their special feature (boulder trap, King bob omb explosion, island hopping, prize for stars switching; not even Superstars has that). And we have partners that either help us or hinder us. So if we go by that than SMP has the most variety in gameplay, which is why the game doesn't get boring as fast as every other MP game. And the motion controls aren't vad, they are in some cases even better than they were on the Wii (having to calibrate the Wii-mote at least once every 20min was no fun).
I can’t exactly say I was MAD at any part, but I will say where I disagreed and just general thoughts. Mario Kart- I mean, where does Mario Kart Live Home Circuit fit into the equation? No, seriously, what do people even THINK about this game? I don’t think it would be the worst, couldn’t judge it personally if it was. Just… what’s even the reception to Home Circuit? Mario Party- I kinda have to put Mario Party Advance as the worst since you don’t get any of the fun multiplayer stuff just from the base experience. Sure, I know it HAS multiplayer. But like, I don’t think ANY of the mini games were fun enough to want to play with another person. It’s a single player focused Mario Party and like… that misses the point WAY more than Super may have missed the mark in being a return to form. And I mentioned previously, I think Super’s contribution to where Mario Party is now is incredibly important, even if it’s not one of my favorite entries. Mario RPG- I can’t fault you if you don’t like Kingdom Battle, but I don’t think you’re being totally fair to the battle system. The battles can feel way different when you try new team combinations, unlock new features on the skill tree, see what different effects you like on your weapons… it’s honestly got a lot of ways to customize the experience and make it feel fresh per playthrough even. So no, I don’t support the game for what surrounds it, I think the gameplay is pretty solid. Everything else you said, I don’t necessarily agree or not. I think the Rabbids are fun here alongside the Mario cast, but I can’t exactly say much beyond they can provide a good chuckle for some slapstick here and there. But also, they’re better in the sequel when they can talk and have characters, from what I’ve seen. On the flip side, even if I’ll say the game is more deserving of praise for its gameplay, I would probably put it at the worst spot since Mario RPG is an overall good experience and Sparks of Hope looks like it improves a lot of the things Kingdom Battle did.
Bro casually forgets Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge is a thing. At the very least, Tipping Stars tried something new with online interactivity, but Amiibo Challenge is literally a plug for action figures and doesn't even come with a level editor.

Agree with you. SMP is far from the worst. After GBA there are still top 100, 9, 10 and Island Rush. And imo SMP is even better than most of the numbered entries because of it's variety of game modes, characters, mini games and play styles.
Yeah, no, this is 100% the worst opinion I've seen on Mario + Rabbids. It just sounds like you don't like the xcom style type of srpg in general, which is a huge component of the game. The story itself is simple, but it is definitely. It's not anything amazing, but so are like half of the mario rpgs, and discounting the game simply because of the rabbids is really dumb. Personally I would've said super mario rpg is the worst mario rpg. Nothing about the game grips me and I often times find it more boring than fun, but I still had some fun with it sometimes.
I humbly disagree with your dislike of Mario+rabbids kingdom battle but I respect it, part of the reason I think I enjoy it so much is due to it being like a fusion of a Mario game and fire emblem, but everyone has their likes and dislikes.
Claiming Super Mario Party to be the “worst” MP title when MP10 and Top 100 are literally right freaking there is insane to me.

Top 100 was so bad
MP10 wasn’t bad especially with Bowser mode but top 100 was Superstars but worse in every way possible
Yeah, nah, you're tripping by calling Kingdom Battle bad. Weird to criticize it for not being a good RPG when it's more of a strategy game than RPG.
That's fair, it is more strategy game. But even then, it feels like a charming one in style but still bit underwhelming in gameplay and very bland with story.

@@TheDHono it absolutely is not lmao

I personally love it M+R because I love Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, both of which are tactical strategy RPGs. And I enjoyed it far more than Super Mario RPG which is saying something because I also really love SMRPG. But everyone has their own opinions.
Then Sparks of Hope fixed everything and threw Rayman in the spotlight because they could

Mario kart tour is a great game that’s trying something new and different. I have enjoyed it for years and my one gripe when people complain about the game is that they only played it around when the game launched. As time went on in like year 2 of the game Mario kart tour became extremely fun.

Super Mario party isn’t even CLOSE to worst.

Bro you forgot educational Mario games
“No two levels are alike”. Except for all the levels in World Mushroom and World Flower
I agree that Super Mario 3D World is the best 3D Mario, but Super Mario 64 ds was my childhood game and for me is not the worst
OMFG DID THE LIVE ACTION MARIO MOVIE SERIOUSLY PREDICT 9/11???? WHAT WORLD AM I LIVING IN
I think Mario Party 8 is great but saying it has "6 brilliant boards" is wild because Warped Orbit is like objectively miserable.
For me the best mario kart is mario kart wii i love the chaos in there and the freedom lakitu gives you also the fact that you need to unlock characters and tracks by playing is also a big plus for me
in Mario and Sonic, the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 did poor due to the severe lack of koopalings
I know this is controversial but my favorite Mario party is super Mario party
Same here.
People who hate it, just don't like, that they afe forced to use motion control instead of just pressing the same button the entire game. They also complain about the lack of boards, but don't see that the game has much more varity than other MP games like Superstars, which only has one mode (normal party) and minigames.
Things SMP has and (almost) no other game in the series has:
-Bowser's minons as playable characters
-custom/characterspecific dices
-5 modes: challenge road, normal Party, Partner Party, Soundstage and Rafting
-stars switching places on the board, which forces more strategy on when to use your items. It also can shift a game a 180 degree, enabling someone who had bad luck to get a chance at getting back up
-the ability to choose which way to go, something (almost) no map has outside of SMP.
My esteemed digital compatriots, I am utterly enraptured by the sheer brilliance of this audiovisual masterpiece.
They aren't bad games, just every Mario Kart and 2D Mario is better than them
@@Dodaro10 SMK is just so bad.
17:47 More like "Mario Tennis: Ultra Trash” 😂😂
thats an very overused joke..😑 and i like the game!
@@evolutioner8573 Congratulations You like a game that 99% of mario fans hate

@@StoneColdBowlingBall I know I like the game myself I'm just saying
@@TheDHonodude that’s your opinion, if you really hate this game then just don’t comment others if they say they really like this game and that’s your opinion and if you really hate this game then don’t comment others comments to say that it’s very bad like that’s your opinion you literally don’t have to comment others to say that it’s bad like leave them alone that’s their opinion

NSMBU and NSMB2 are the best 2D games
Don’t give any hate or anything but I actually like both Paper Mario Sticker Star and Mario and Luigi Paper Jam
Sticker Star is really pretty fun if you know what to do but that's the issue is that knowing what to do is so cryptic, it's like an old NES game AVGN would review minus the extreme difficulty.

It basically just a better version
Please do not stretch SNES games to 16:9 ever again. The SMW part looked aweful.
Also putting all Sports games together, is a lot of missed potential.
Bro kingdom battle has a great story and has great characters. The gameplay is great and fresh. You don’t have to like it, but you’re disliking it due to it being different. Also you can’t say kingdom battle has repetitive gameplay when Mario RPG is the standard same rpg moves.
At least Mario RPG’s battles are fast paced and snappy though.
@@Masked_Mastermind yeah I like Mario RPG but grinding in it can be annoying, but in Kingdom Battle’s gameplay is super unique and requires a lot of of thinking
@@Zerosniper379 You don’t really have to grind in Mario RPG, that game is already very easy.
@@Masked_Mastermind I mean yeah, but saying the gameplay in kingdom battle is boring while praising a gameplay system which is just rinse and repeat is crazy
@@Zerosniper379 People have different definitions of what they consider to be fun or boring. For some people, they might not like the slow-paced battles in tactical RPGs and find them to be boring because of how long they can be, whereas they might find shorter but simpler battles that require you to time your button presses perfectly to be more fun.
I think the best 2d is Mario 3 and the best 3d is galaxy 2
I’m sorry but saying super Mario party is the worst is a crime I used to ask my family to play it with me and we would all do a board game it was so fun it’s so competitive and it’s still fun if you lose I just hate watching you say its bad never let bro cook agian
3D World + BF is a super valid take for best 3D Mario, but for me, no matter how good the platforming is, 3D Mario has also always been about exploration and unique settings. Odyssey has that in spades, as well as some fantastic platforming challenges. I think it’s the best of both worlds
I was like that too until I beat the game and completely explored every region. It's bland and repetitive. Not tryna hate cuz I liked it too. But nah it was the worst Mario game I ever played.
@@taelin-rh3wiyou mean 3D world right?
@@Kirby_puoyoo I'm talking about Odyssey. I don't have 3D World. But I have heard great things about it.
@@taelin-rh3wi yeah pretty dumb question since you talked about regions😅 Anyways, 3D world is pretty good with a lot of fun levels so if you ever manage to put your hands on that game play it! The major problems are that a lot of levels are basically 2D and the levels don't fit in with the theme of the world
Odyssey doesn't really have any platforming challenges except for the last two levels
Did not just trash talk the Rabbids when literally they somehow steal the spotlight in the crossover
It's especially with Sparks of Hope, the Rabbids are genuinely awesome in the crossover
Rabbid Peach & Rabbid Mario are especially big favs, but the rest of the other playable Rabbids are awesome
They unironically have more character than the actual Mario characters
I haven't played enough of the Mario Party or Mario and Sonic games to give my opinion on them, but I agree with the rest. Even being a massive Paper Jam fan, I can accept that it's a few steps lower than the other entries
Color Splash is the best Paper Mario game, I can't lie
Bro if you are having trouble playing Super Mario 64 ds PLAY ON THE 3DS it has a D pad on it anyways so if you are complaining its not the same well you are right and wrong
Better still, play with the thumb stylus that came with the original DD in Touch Mode, which gives you full camera control with the X and Y n buttons and analog movement. It’s not as good as a real analog stick, but it’s far better than the dpad.
I like Mario + rabbits but I guess that's just me
Mario Party 9 and 10 are the best along with Super Mario Party and Jamboree
I had some pretty bad experiences with super Mario party cuz when I first got it my switch started having joy con drift
And it wasn’t pro controller compatible so I had to just deal with it
Mario Kart Wii is the melee of the Mario Kart series and no I won’t elaborate.
I've been saying the exact same things for years 😂
1:00 starting off in the worst way possible, sm64 is the real worse 3d mario game
bro Nathaniel Bandy will kick your moneybags if he sees this
If I'm being completely honest, I love Superstars to the moon and back.

I’m sorry but how is Tour worse than Super Mario Kart????
Him putting Mario + rabbids at the bottom instead of sparks of hope is a crime. Almost everything about sparks of hope is terrible
We have normal Party and Partner party (each has 4 boards), sound stage (3 difficulties), rafting and challange road (every minigame getting a challenge).
I really don't get the love for Boswer's Fury tbh. It's good, but so many repeat objectives in such a short game makes it kind of a slog honestly.
You would’ve like it if it was old and you grew up with it, don’t lie.
@@Rediscool9 I really liked mario wonder and that one isnt old nor I grew up with it since it came out last year. Not everything has to be related to nostalgia goggles.
@@Rediscool9 I really fail to see how waiting for Bowser to show up for 15 different shines is fun for anyone. Not to mention the ungodly amount of shard and blue coin missions.
@@Marko-ij4vy Except sometimes it absolutely has to be related to nostalgia goggles. Why else would you see people rag on Odyssey for its issues only to then praise the ever loving crap out of Sunshine in spite of THAT game’s issues?
@@jonathanalfano3941 There aren’t that many shine missions where you have to wait for Bowser. Quit exaggerating. Also you seem to forget that every 3D Mario game repeats mission objectives smh. The reason why it’s fine is because they all happen in entirely different platforming areas so you have to do said repeated missions in completely different platforming areas.
the worst Mario Party for me is the GBA version
the best is Mario Party DS
