My homemade 60lb (28" draw) PVC Flat-Bow = 350lb of meat (processed)... Very good, very lean, "organic" and 'hormone free'... the cuts I don't much care for, my rottweiler Rachel "loves"!
This was not a 'difficult' hunt (nor was it meant to be). Aside from the excellent 'protein in my freezer', its purpose was primarily to show the effectiveness of a "homemade bow" at procuring food and, if necessary, self-defense.
Q: "Franke, why didn't 'you' clean/quarter that Boar yourself?"
A: Because that's what they do there all day, every day... and it still took them about 1/2 an hour.
I could never clean it as fast as they do (nor as well), and the butcher I was taking it to (for process & packaging) was 1½ hrs away.
