You need a group of kids! Every kid loves rockets!I still have 4 from the late 80s. I loved making them. I just bought the Mosquito. Always wanted one.
Outstanding builds as always. Nice flights, especially the Fat Boy. A couple of issues with recovery, maybe an underpowered ejection charge on the Marauder. Thanks for sharing!
Nice 3 launches that you got back and 2 out of 3 were bad but repair able. Use C/A on the Marauder body tube to strengthen the damaged section. After it's finished curing, sand the inside of the tube lightly for a not too tight fittednose cone. Swap the plastic parachutes over to nylon parachutes from Apogee Rockets, they always deploy properly.❤
Estes sells the BT80 nose cone and body tube. I upgraded my Estes Fat Boy to 29mm power and can still use a variety of motors from 18mm and 24mm motors with adapters. Through the tube fins is best, strength from laminated 3 layers of balsa wood and the strongest thing on the rocket for rough landings. Added nose weight for stability, kevlar shock cord, chute protector and nylon chute. Do you like the Estes Baby Bertha? I have another series of scaled builds, almost finished the Bigger Baby Bertha 29mm powered, like the Estes Super Big Bertha. A Mini Baby Bertha 13mm motor powered build is finished. The Estes Baby Bertha is up powered to 24mm powered, for C,D,E and F motors and can still use 18mm motors with adapter.
Any day when the fins don’t crack is a great day flying! Congrats!
Yes. Thanks!

Thanks for the zoom attempt. Thumbs up. Love the Fat Boy.
Lol. I'll practice again. It's needed!

I got into rockets heavy years ago and this brings back memories since I've focused on rc crawlers and such
Awww fat boy so cute wean hes made right way 😄
Great flights !
Super fun video, amigo. It’s really odd to me the ole Fat Boy isn’t still a production standard by Estes.
I've been adding a little baby powder at the top inside area of the tube to help the chute slide out, seems to help a bit.
You should get a 3D Pinter so you can make your own nose cone and fins!
🔥🔥

All that grass and the Fat Boy has to land on concrete! What are the dimensions of that field?
Right! I moved over after that one. And everything was back I. The grass. Probably 300 yards x 120 yards. It's long with grass and a few trees.
Cool video, thanks!!
Nice! 🚀🚀🚀
Thanks!
