I love the fact that BMG is always the dominant force in his battles, taking control and such but here, Babeli just takes over completely.

Another example of the jury favouring Babeli, when he clearly didn't win. He even repeated the same beat he used last round against Tiny Beat.... smh...
He knows how to innovate... that hollow click coupled with the sub bass he did in the first round is amazing, and although bmg is amazing, he's very technique based, which pretty much any other beatboxer in this championship can do 😊

Marcus lulz No. BMG had a good first round, but honestly most of his 2nd round was repetitive/generic dnb beats. Even look at 6:08 at the juries faces, BMG pulls a really generic dnb beat as a 'remix'. I have no idea why he didn't go further with the Bobby McFerrin beat, it's such a unique style and might've been enough for a win.
Overall though great battle, and I agree with the judges decisions. Everyone should stop bashing the judges decisions. Sure there was one battle I didn't agree with, but the amount of times you guys are complaining for multiple battles (not just this one) is ridiculous and annoying, you're practically just bandwagonning for the person you're cheering for and not judging the battle fairly.
The sexual tension during this battle was high
babeli was doing ”kurulinpa”, which is Japanese comedian's joke, while BGM was beatboxing.

All of you that think babeli is bad, try to do exactly what he did the whole video. No one can be that clean and have the musicality he does.
Old Babeli would have murdered BMG, but I guess he didn't want to save his signature routine for NaPoM, BallZ or Alem and used it here.

BMG is far too samey, I like babelis variations of all his stuff. Hated as he is, I love the fact that he tries different things and just goes for it

This is be a very tough decision, as I thought about it and decided of who I thought won myself. But I picked Babeli, because while BMG was better in technicality, Babeli's musicality was great and it was such an original and fresh style, while BMG's style didn't seem all that original and his beats could be a little more musical. Big ups to both beatboxers! No hate, but just sharing my opinion! :)

I am from germany and i rly enjoy Babeli but he does the sounds in every single round.
I like his musicality and it's not a hate but look at Best 16 and his Qualification, it's like he repeats the same beats and sounds all the time.
In my eyes BMG was better, but this is no hate.

Azdu13 It's not about how difficult the beat is, it's about the creativity and the song structure + the technique.
Still, this is some of the best rounds/performances i've heard from Babeli. An amazing balance between musicality, technicality and battle spirit, all with, here, a great structure and progression. BMG didn't have the same upperhand battle attitude he had, but damn, he still did great in his rounds, super polished. Rewatched this a lot, and definitely is one of my favorite battles of all time.

Honestly, I think Babeli's lack of interest in the battle may have helped, as a lot of support can come from the audience. When the other guy is dancing around, the crowd can get hyped, and like feed off that energy. That response can give the performer confidence which he can then use to be more innovative. But when you're battling effectively a wall, the audience focuses less on you, and more on your competitor, giving you less of a reaction to play off of. Not sure if this was planned, but it seemed effective. Great battle anyways, hearing two styles fight it out
