One of the most enjoyable battles of the year, i've been rewatching this a lot.
Nice to see Friidon is slowly growing as a solo beatboxer, not as polished in sounds and structure, or with a style of his own, but with lots of energy, enjoyable beats and cool liprolls/tongue basses and stuff, i like how he kinda vocalises his K snares, but definitely needs to work on his vocal basses.
And always great to see one of the GOAT's and one of my favorite beatboxers of all time, Babeli, strong in the game. Such an inspirating to my beatboxing, and still one of the best of all time, insuperable power and polished basics. Still has lots of potential to grow with such a rich sound repertoire and outstanding qualities; love his style since day 1. Also very happy to see him bringing solid energy with his beats and battle spirit here, despite being chill in his stage presence in general on this (compared to his 2015 World Champs performance), and other previous battles in recent years; he definitely had more of a battle spirit here.
Always love watching Germany's national and local competitions, big up!
I love Friidon's energy and enthusiasm, even for a competitor. It is a testament to his noble spirit.
I am surprised he did not win, Babeli's second round had a great build-up but I found the drop to be lacking. Good battle, thank you for posting.
