Constant Lightning, Thunderstorm, Oklahoma City

Video capture of approaching storm with continuous lightning taken from Stoneridge Farms Addition in NW OKC, with Stoneridge Lake in the foreground. This storm occurred on evening of Monday, 26 Aug 2019. The storm was the result of the merger of two separate storms...one from the north and one from the NW. The storm wreaked havoc across the OKC Metro area with 87+ mph winds, downed trees, structure damage, an F1 tornado N of Edmond, and many downed utility poles resulting in over 100,000 people without electrical power.

I remember the thunderstorm that followed the hottest summers in my lifetime of 1976 and the thunderstorm afterwards went on for a very very long time and I was working for PCC drainage department at west hoe Plymouth at the time and the storm started in the morning and I was in a van at the time going to a sewerage breakage and the sky turned almost black and the rain was so heavy that the driver had to pull over to the side of the road along with many other drivers because it was too dangerous to carry on and the lightning was constant and in the end we went back to our depot along with everyone else and we didn’t do anything else that day
