I agree that Keyscape is amazing, and probably better than all of these shown here. But even better in my opinion than keyscape, is Old Black Grand Pleyel.
I had the great luck to have a Steinway 2.10 model B at home for some years. And, although it wasn't a model D of course, the sound quality and character was "a relative", so I had the chance to get used to thet sound. That said, to me the most similar sound I heard from a library is from Embertone Walker 1955 Model D for Kontakt. One of the most amazing library I've heard, and one of the bigger also, as if you want to take whole the different microphone position it takes more than 200 Gb! Quite expensive also but, as soon as I can, it's going to be my first purchase.
@@SeanDivine no problem, I was wondering if I was to send you some stems over for an instrumental would you be willing to do a mix and master breakdown tutorial ?
Shopping for piano sounds and this was super helpful! Excellent piano playing too - had to watch the video again to see what you did there! Thanks always.
after 20 years of mao , i recommand by order of best one to very good one : amazing pianos - the grandeur (native) - the giant (native) - emotionnal piano !!! those 4 plugs are enough !!!
I currently have Kontakt player and recently bought Abbey Roads Studio Drums bundle but I have been thinking about buying Kontakt 6 and I might possibly get it this summer. I might possibly buy The Maverick piano library at some point. Some of the free piano VSTs are surprisingly good though. I haven't really studied Piano sample libraries but I think I should have at least one piano Kontakt library, I'm sure there are even some free piano Kontakt libraries for the Kontakt full version.
@@foolpatrol because I need piano without reberv to some generes. But the problem is not the reberv, the problem is that this moron dont release the sustain pedal in the entire video
Alicia's Keys sounds quite good. I have The Giant, Maverick, and Una Corda as well. But for some reason I like The Grandeur the most. Anyway thank you for sharing, Sean! I enjoy your music, it's beautiful.
Una Corda sounds beautiful when I play it with by combining the sound of rain. I dont know why, but for me, the sound of the fabric produced from the Una Corda matches the sound of rain.
hi sean , for me the The Grandeur from native instrument is one of my favorites piano in my stock but thank you for this review , i didn"t known Braunschweig piano P2 11 layer and studio grand piano just a question , what is the midi keyboard you use
+Sean Divine hi Sean, all these piano libraries use samples to repoduce their sound, what about sound modeling,i love the sound and accoustic liberty of arturias piano V,this instrument is not limited as with sample based instruments, btw, love your vids
Great video Sean! What do you think of the C. Bechstein Digital Grand library for Kontakt? To me it sounds the most authentic acoustic piano, but I’m curious what you think. Cheers!
Loved Alicia Keys and Death Piano. You should check The Grandeur and The Giant by Kontakt too! The Grandeur is really realistic and The Giant has a big sound! Both *very* customizable
very interesting video. Only thing is that some instruments are for kontakt 5 full version only, which makes them very expensive instruments if you want to get them. frustrating...
Hey sean, i bought the Studio Grand Piano LE. It sounds nice and was cheap. In my daw it sounds dry. I didnt see any reverb on your track. Do you have a reverb on any master track in this video? Can you please tell me the setting? Would be very cool. Thanks for this :)
Too much reverb everywhere is killing me)) But still it is great video and very useful! Think about Death piano now) Alisia's keys is my favorite about many years) Thank you!
I've tried a bunch of kontakt pianos myself and one issue I find props up a lot is that they're recorded almost artificially wide, which gives them an phase correlation level that fluctuates wildly above and below 0. This makes them lose a lot of character as soon as you start reducing the width which in turn reduces their versatility. Are there any good pianos that aren't recorded this way? I've heard good things about Keyscape, but I have yet to check the stereo image, although I do trust Spectrasonics to do a good job with recording.
Good Evening.....thank you for helping me get started. I downloaded the Kontakt 6 Player hoping that there would be some Piano sampling models. In an article I read it was mentioned that it comes with few free pianos. I have installed Kontakt Player 6 and there is nothing. Did I missinterpret something. How can I see available pianos in Kontakt Player and can I use for Midiculus Pro?
Hey, can anyone recommend or suggest the best piano for dark melodie’s for trap music? Especially a piano that has a good sounding bass key for dark sounds. Thanks so much!

Every RUclipsr should put timestamps in their video descriptions.
Not all hero’s wear capes 🙏
So glad someone is talking about production voices. I love love love their stuff. Have been using them for forever.
woah i am glad to see you here, Big fan :DD
My favourite will always be Keyscape, because it sounds realistic and with a few tweaks you can get the most of an acoustic piano sound of it 🎹🎶
to be fair, they all sound great.
I agree that Keyscape is amazing, and probably better than all of these shown here. But even better in my opinion than keyscape, is Old Black Grand Pleyel.
"Death Piano" was perfect for what I needed, thanks.
That emotional piano is something else buddy.
Alicia’s keys...I remember trying it years ago as I bought komplete and just turned all the reverb and ambiance up and let it go. Definately the best.
Best piano I’ve ever played is so underrated but has by far the best sound. Ivory II by Synthogy
Hey man, Alicia's Keys is part of Komplete Ultimate, not Komplete Standard.

StudioGrand is great! Love my alicia keys too! Thanks for your informative videos!
wow the death piano is really something!
Love the Emotional and Death pianos and of course the Studio Grand.

SoundsAndGear yea man! Production Voices hasn’t gotten the attention I believe they deserve. Amazing libraries.
Nice bro!
Actually really dig the death piano quite a bit. Very interesting.
Daamn Sean Divine this is doope
thanks!
Again great video Sean, interesting how this video surfaced as I just bought Kontakt yesterday. Perfect timing
glad to hear it :)
Or perfect advertising 😏
the samples i can make off this is nuts
Alicias keys for me is the sweetest piano sound
the giant, emotional piano, the grandeur. alicia keys is ok its just over hyped
Perfect List!

You have great taste, you nailed it!
Can you make a video of yours settings for reverbs, and other pluggins which you used to build this quality of sound.
My go to is the Nord Stage 2
you play the keys so beautifull!
thank you!
My favourite reverb is the one on the third piano

2017 and Alicia´s Keys is still making it in just every top list of piano vst. Damm they REALLY nailed it whit that one...
2023*
Enjoyed your presentation. I settled on the Garritan CFX which I think is a reasonable choice. At least for me.
heard great things about the Garritan! Thanks for watching
Addictive Keys Forever!
Agree....the sound is awesome.
Modartt Pianoteq is the best modeled piano vst(non Kontakt). Very lightweight on the cpu, super small install footprint with outstanding realism.
Alicia's keys it's the best of the best!

Loved Alicia Keys and Death Piano. You should check The Grandeur and The Giant by Kontakt too! The Grandeur is really realistic and The Giant has a big sound! Both *very* customizable
The giant is by native instrumenst...it's not by kontakt, since kontakt is not the company name but one of their products
I like the grandeur from NI
will have to check that one out!
the grandeur piano form NI is 100% the best piano for me
I really love NI Grandeur.
I know, even better than the Alicia Keys in my opinion
the grandeur sounds like a cheap digital piano. to boring. the point of using samples is to have the raw sound of the acoustic piano like it is.
I used the grandeur for a solid year, then i just changed to the giant and its sooo much better. And alot more versatile
Love the giant!!!!!!! Fits in the mixes so well.@@pauldavis3904
Thanks a lot!!
I personally love the Grand Rhapsody from Waves Audio. What do you think about this one?
awesome video big up from South Africa stay blessed.........simply love the lesson
Can you do one for strings library?
hey man, what settings do you have for the emotional piano?
very interesting video. Only thing is that some instruments are for kontakt 5 full version only, which makes them very expensive instruments if you want to get them. frustrating...
There's a piano that's free, it's called Piano in 162 by Ivy Audio. Better than many libraries that you have to pay.
awesome, will have to check that out!
i use is awesome
Check out Vienna Symphonic Library's Synchron Steinway D-274 Concert Piano. You will thank yourself. It's the real deal.
Nice
Jo Bro where I can find this 5 key sounds ? I have Kontakt on my Mac the full version.
Does Kontakt not come with any Samples mainly Piano Samples or do i need to download them.
it does but the factory library (at least up to version 5) isn't all that inspiring!
Nice video! How do you rate the Garageband/Logic Steinway pianos?
Pianoteq is awesome.
Hey sean,
i bought the Studio Grand Piano LE. It sounds nice and was cheap.
In my daw it sounds dry. I didnt see any reverb on your track. Do you have a reverb on any master track in this video? Can you please tell me the setting? Would be very cool. Thanks for this :)
yes, it has a bit of reverb from Space Designer on it. It's the "Abbey" preset.
The Braunshweig upright sounds realistic, I was wondering how it responses to the playing and touch ? and Thanks!
It's one of my absolute favorites. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Imperfect Samples is still keeping it updated :/
What reverb did you use for Grand Piano Le? Reverb sounds good. Thanks for posting this video.
stock reverb in LPX, space designer!
what reverb ye using on these? sounds really good, what sort of settings?
I believe I used the stock space designer in logic pro for this one! large hall setting with the highs and lows rolled off
I think I prefer The Giant over the LE
which one has the best round robin repeating spiccatos please? To avoid the machinegun effect
Too much reverb everywhere is killing me))
But still it is great video and very useful! Think about Death piano now)
Alisia's keys is my favorite about many years)
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the video? What kind of reverb are you using on these piano samples?
stock space designer in lpx!
show without reverb.
Where is the release knob on the Alicias Keys Plug in?r do you need a sustain pedal to control the release?
How did you tweaked Alicia keys and Emotional Piano... How you made sounds good ? I mean adding effects and more ..
Grand piano LE is only $11!! Thanks bro 👊🏼
Can you share the link to buy it please
may i ask how do you automate the foot pedal for vsco piano? without a midi keyboard, just using the midi roll from the DAW

Thank you next.
You should have made a dry sound comparison so we can clearly hear the differences.
Huge reverb can make even a fart to sound like horns orchestra.
