Welcome to our Chip Daily Duppy Reaction!!! This is our latest video reaction from our new music reaction channel Beer’s & Bars. Here we listen, react, and breakdown bars while enjoying some of our favorite beers. Today was interesting! Not only did the daily duppy background receive a makeover, but we also received our first introduction to Chip! Since he is not a regular for us, we were paying close attention to what Chip could bring to the table and it was nothing short of amazing! We love how he dove right into the track with the doubles, triples, and crazy delivery patterns but it didn’t stop there! After the introduction he started bringing us into his world with the realities he was faced with and had to overcome, and it was so cool how Chip drew us in and now we are wanting more! Chips one of our kings. Grew up on the battle scene with the OG's. He's early 30's but been at it since his teens. He get's a lot of hate cause he signed to a label early in his career and put out crappy pop songs, he did move away from them asap. A lot of the shots fired in this are aimed at Stormzy as they had an ongoing clash at the time. Chip don't run out of bars

Chip is the grime scene saviour. Him coming back and clashing Bugzy lit a fire under the grime scene. Grime was at its peak during the mid 2010's thanks to Chip.

Chip is literally one of the quickest at replying to someone sending for him normally within 24hrs been some legendary sends and he comes out on top 99% of the time there’s one person who he never replied too... I’ll leave that for yourself to figure out who it was

All the messages are aimed towards Stormzy (who has been too scared to reply to chips diss tracks! "you're a king in what castle" - a title which stormzy gave himself.
No MC wants it with Chip it's pretty much known by everyone to not get involved 😂 A few have tried and done well but never enough to say they 'won' any rounds (including Stormzy, Dave, Bugzy Malone etc)
Great reaction, glad you've finally got around to Chip! People are probably going to recommend his many, many Diss tracks but personally I want to recommend "0420" ...its a tribute to his friend/rapper "Black the ripper" who died a few years back, really heartfelt track!

You’ll have heard the whole Stormzy/Chip story by now in the comments but it’s difficult to describe how important clashing is in grime.
When Stormzy wouldn’t reply to Chip (other than a couple of sneaky features with Ghetts and then Dave), Stormzy lost a lot of respect with the OG’s.
When Stormzy and Wiley were going back to back on diss tracks, Stormzy was giving Wiley 24 hours to reply then when it came to Chip - no reply! Lol!
Even Ghetts hopped on IG live when Stormzy had sent a couple of sublims and said he was staying out it lol!
You don’t want smoke with Chip, he’s almost as bad as 50!

@@scxmbagyt5458 agree. There’s a difference between skill and popularity. Stormzy may be ‘popular’ but he didn’t have the skill to go toe to toe with chip and he knew it. Lost a lot of credibility during that time. You can still enjoy both in their own right but. As you say. There are levels to it.

Thing with chip is hes one of those artists that no matter what best you throw at him he will have bars and flow for it, I remember when he was like 13 he used to come to my area and just jump on people tracks he's always had the skills

Chip is an og grime mc. He came up with all your favourites. The culture was based on clashing with other mcs using diss tracks. Chip went up against many and literally destroyed them all. Stormzy came up many years later and a couple of years ago stormzy sent for Wiley, who is also an og. In his disses stormzy claimed he was the king of grime. Which the old heads didn’t appreciate at all. Stormzy put out his album gang signs and prayer and then heavy is the head. Which appear to be him choosing Christianity over street life. Which would have been ok, if he hadn’t shown up to chips house with three of his boys all blacked out in his lambo 4x4. All because he thought chip had indirectly dissed him in a track called waze. So after that chip put out 2 diss tracks even showing a video of when they turned up at his house. Stormzy at that point should have replied, as that’s how grime beef gets settled but he didn’t and even went onto a Dave track and sent just subliminal disses at chip. So chip being chip. Put out another two disses which received no reply either. So to us as og grime fans, stormzy was completely discredited. On this one the hairline and king of grime are both in direct reference to stormzy. The first 2 disses were, flowers (performed at a shell petrol station, which chip had done many years ago, as he is ‘shelling’ mcs. And then killa mc. After that was this and then 10 commandments. I hope you enjoy going down this rabbit hole as you won’t be disappointed.

Chip has been a key player within the Grime scene and respected for it. The Chip Stormzy beef lost Stormzy a lot of respect within the scene for how he handled it or avoided responding direct. The Petrol Station bar will hit harder when you know Chip filmed a few killer diss tracks there.

I've requested Stuttering - P-Money ft Chip, Dizzee & D-double-E a few times it's an incredible track full of bars and legends.
There's also Ignite - Chip ft Dizzee & JME that's such a clever song and another example of legends coming together to make something so unique it's crazy.

You have just opened up a whole new world.......... chip v stormzy beef is worth looking at. Chip is a serious Grime OG, he was mocked for moving to pop and did a song with Chris Brown called Champion. And a track called Oopsie Daisy. After this he went quite for a while. He came back hard a few years ago. Hope this helps. 👊🏼🇬🇧
