I don't care who did whose voice. My daughter and I love Gumby, Pokey, Prickle, and Goo from VHS video tape. It was such a special time that I will never forget as a father. I so loved being a dad. I miss those times.

I agree with the writers of the 1985 KIDS TV guide (with Kermit the Frog on it) that this is neatly edited..but those are the BLOCKHEADS, Gumby and Pokey! No yellow mouth...but if you think this is odd, wait till you see THE ZOOPS.

ANIMATION ERROR: Gumby's yellow mouth is missing.
This was one of the first episodes with Gumby's redesigned "Mickey Mouse"-like eyes in the early 1960s. They tried out giving him a three-dimensional mouth like Professor Kapp would have, but I guess they found it easier to use cutouts for his mouth later on (also when compared to the simple rubberband-like mouth he had in the 1950s shorts.)
Art Clokey voiced Pokey in all of the 50's episodes and in the 60's eps all the way through 1966. Pokey and Prickle were voiced by someone else in '67 and '68. Dal did Gumby's voice in half of the 50's and in the 60's eps up until 1966. Norma voiced Gumby in '67 & '68. Both Art and Dal did various other voices as well on the series. Dal then went on to work on the Daniel Boone show and later come back to voice Gumby in the 80's series and 90's movie. Art did Pokey and Prickle and Gumbo again during that time.

Very interesting. I know Dal McKennon voiced Pokey and Prickle in several of the late 60s episodes, and in some, Norma MacMillan would fill in for Pokey!

Dal McKennon plsyed Pokey in 1966-67..Dal reprised his Pokey voice in the 1969 LADY AND THE TRAMP album as Tramp (thus reprising the little-known Larry Roberts voice role, while fellow Disney/Clokey voice Ginny Tyler reprised Barbara Luddy's lovely cocker spaniel. Now where's the spagetti, I got some dogs rto feed ! Speaking of dogs, Dal did voic e Nopey, didn';t he? Nope..?)

This actually looks more like one of the first series' final episodes..except for the Mickey Mouse eyes (same for the one right before it, "Zoops").

Though it's worth noting Art Clokey DID also voice Pokey in "The Glob," but after that, Dal McKennon took over for the most part (though Clokey and sometimes even Norma MacMillan would alternate in voicing Pokey with McKennon during the late 60s)
