Bravo Kalinskaya. Great sportsmanship on an absolutely ridiculous umpire call. Thank goodness for her taking it upon herself to fix the problem he created out of nothing
There were some terrible chair umpires in this video, but Cicak is not one of them; Ostapenko is just a spoiled child who acts like she’s 12 when things don’t go her way.
Yet but unfortunately she did because they're friends not because she wanted be fair what would be amazing. No player most of times wants be fair just be awarded unless friends.
i will never get tired of ostapenko showing how far in/out a ball is. has there ever been a player with a perception of measurement as bad as ostapenko?
Hardly random. She's trying her best with the English she knows. She obviously meant: "I made the shot after one bounce" and "you're in charge of the calls" (as in "therefore you should be paying better attention")
I speak some Spanish, but very limited. I can't imagine the anxiety I would feel playing in a tennis match in Spain where the umpire only speaks Spanish, trying to articulate a grievance to them.
Rybakina kalinskaya could be a really interesting rivalry for the future. Not only are both of them great players, they also match up with each other really well, and they are both stunning.
Her mother is also Jelena, which is her legal name. Alyona is not on the registered list of birth names in Latvia (I know eh? Post-Soviet freedom!), but her family calls her Alyona.
Broo that Rybakina Kalinstakaya is such a jokeeee!! How bad can you judge like that? That call was so lateeee you could easily say that it refers to Kalinskaya’s shot
Idk whats purpose to have such a good umpires like this lady in 3,45 , ofc Sheriff is 100 % right , and umpire doesnt see very obvious , whats the purpose of being there if she doesnt see so obvious things
But when guy say let and then not replay point because the word he said was after her shot but he is calling it for noise that was well before it. I think this is the case of umpire just not being smart, it's one thing to not see mark on clay well but this is really a basic logic
Time to install HawkEye at every court on every surface and stop fooling around with flawed humans. it also looks like some of these umpires actually do not know the rules about hitting the ball after it has wrongfully been called 'in."
at certain point you would think there would be simple rules stating what happens (replay, point assigned, etc) when a player hits a ball that they think is in, is challenged and deemed to be out or they don't hit it because they think it is out and it is challenged and ruled in. Perhaps there are, but it seems most of the disputes are about how play continues after a ball made it's initial bounce in or out
I really cant believe how ATP/WTA doesnt change the rule about replaying the point. Half of the dramas on these videos are because of that. First of all, nearly 90% of them, the lineman calls it after the shot and then it would be so easy to rule again, they dont even need to see the point again, just the audio and check if the noise of the hit is before or after the linemans call.
a clip with putintseva in it, but she's not the one going off? what just happened? Also ostapenko acting like she's world number 1 with a dozen or more grand slams to her name...
She is laughing, because she is trying to be nice towards tennis players, but I agree that she is terrible umpire. So many line calls she got wrong during her umpire career lately.

That kalinskaya rybakina call is hilarious… the line umpire called it like three seconds after she hit
Line judge on 1200 ping 😂
Still it was imposible tu return that serve but he thinks it impacted on her. What a joke from umpire.
This is why video and audio replays of timing of calls needs to be challengeable.
Even Kalinskaya was like “wtf bro… it’s her point.” 😂😂😂
@@falks941 Sportsmanship does exist! On the other hand, Zheng knew it went through the net but said nothing. That shows the difference between those 2 ladies.
wtf the umpire in the Rybakina - Kalinskaya match xD that was the biggest late call ever lmao
but really fairplay from Anna to give the point
the lineman was really hesitating about what he have just seen and eventually called out
human factor. impossible to see that micronic touch.
He finished to call the ball out yesterday not too late

Funny because she actually a shit umpire

some umpires' decisions are so wrong and basically wrong. They should not rule any more matches such as the umpire of Sherif's match

the umpire at 6:25 should be fired asap, that was clear as day a mistake

No, it's in you peabrain. T line also counts as part of service court so it's in and ace. You clearly don't know tennis rules it seems.
In the Sherieff/Mertens match, I simply don't understand why not challenge the shot that she missed. Is hawkeye incapable of tracking two shots?
