    There were some terrible chair umpires in this video, but Cicak is not one of them; Ostapenko is just a spoiled child who acts like she’s 12 when things don’t go her way.

      Hardly random. She's trying her best with the English she knows. She obviously meant: "I made the shot after one bounce" and "you're in charge of the calls" (as in "therefore you should be paying better attention")

      I speak some Spanish, but very limited. I can't imagine the anxiety I would feel playing in a tennis match in Spain where the umpire only speaks Spanish, trying to articulate a grievance to them.

    But when guy say let and then not replay point because the word he said was after her shot but he is calling it for noise that was well before it. I think this is the case of umpire just not being smart, it's one thing to not see mark on clay well but this is really a basic logic

    at certain point you would think there would be simple rules stating what happens (replay, point assigned, etc) when a player hits a ball that they think is in, is challenged and deemed to be out or they don't hit it because they think it is out and it is challenged and ruled in. Perhaps there are, but it seems most of the disputes are about how play continues after a ball made it's initial bounce in or out

    I really cant believe how ATP/WTA doesnt change the rule about replaying the point.
    Half of the dramas on these videos are because of that. First of all, nearly 90% of them, the lineman calls it after the shot and then it would be so easy to rule again, they dont even need to see the point again, just the audio and check if the noise of the hit is before or after the linemans call.
