ECS Exhaust for the B9 Audi S4! *BIG SOUND CHANGE*

- Hey everyone, welcome back to Daily Downshift. Today we are installing the ECS Cat-back Exhaust for the B9 S4. We were satisfied with the sound of the high flow downpipe but we knew that we could make the Audi sound more sporty. This is a valved exhaust that is plug and play, and we opted for the resonated version with the black chrome tips. There is absolutely no cutting required! We were surprised just how different it sounds and will be posting a full sound compilation shortly. We hope you enjoy!

I got the same exhaust on my b9.5, had it for about 2 months now and love it. Gonna be getting intercooler and downpipe soon for stage 2 😤

Love the videos! I’m super excited for the update after the break in period. Just had the AWE touring full exhaust installed on my b9 s4 3 weeks ago. I think it’s finally broken in but I haven’t upgraded my downpipe (yet) so I’m curious to see what your opinion is on upgrading both. Will it be too much or just right?
The AWE Touring is the best set up. Of course its subjective.... but it shouldn't be too much. The track version has far more drone.

Looks like your driver's side exhaust tips came out too close to the inside of the cutout (almost touching the diffuser). I'm having the same issue. Been trying to align them for about an hour and coming to the conclusion that it's just not made very well.
It's tough to get perfect fitment but as long as there is no touching I'm okay with it. I've seen your videos, great content! Thanks for the comment

Sounds quieter than stock and you have catted downpipes, that's crazy man. Not a fan of AWE but what a difference
This exhaust is ECS, not AWE

@@Andrew-qs5yo Why do you think it sucks? Generally considered the best for Audi. Almost everyone in my Audi group has AWE or regrets their purchase of something else.

Well thank you for the video, now I know which exhaust not to get 🥴😂, it sounds quieter than stock at that point I rather stay with the stock which has valves from the factory and save the money, now… the ECS exhaust for the B8.5 is a completely different story
Exhausts are always hard.. personally I would have went Miltek, Borla, or Armytrix (which is what I am getting for my dad's some day) all of the other brands are not a big enough change.
AWE exhaust is the best option for these Audi's IMO. I'd go Borla for most domestics. Armytrix is too raspy for my taste.

@@hxrxxn_ Milltek is but not common in my area. Akropovic is too but I've only seen it once and I live somewhere with a huge variety in the car scene and plenty of money to afford it. AWE is headquartered fairly close to me so that's probably why I see that more than most but I believe it also sounds the best. Smooths out the less pleasant noise but produces a decent volume.

waaaay better.
Bruh, I waited about 5 months for this exact exhaust to show up, just put in on less than 2 weeks ago, I was so confused when I started it up because im catless and had all the resonators removed before so it was so loudddd but I was like “wait are my valves open???” I had to double check 🤣 I have the resonator delete on the shelf, ima slap it on to see if I like how it sounds.
Yeah, it doesn't make it significantly but wow does it change the sound and tone
