I love in the books when Palps & Vader use the Sith language to secretly plot behind ppls backs. Dark Lords of the Sith is one of my favorite Star Wars books.
I will say I am getting more interested in the upcoming series. I'm Bemused about the lack of attention giving to Boba Fett. The Character and Show have a much more positive opinion in peoples minds. Certainly more than the recent Disney plus Star Wars show. Hopefully this will get a turn around. Thanks.Meg 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Book of Boba should get a physical release but we will only see Boba if the story goes to Tattoine. Boba is the boss on Tattoine, he's who the main character goes to for help when they are desperate.
It’s a term used commonly used at sea when you’re trying to run a ship with a very small crew or staff, in case some wouldn’t know, that’s what a Skeleton Crew is.
@@damianoby8540 No it’s not because of of an actually dead group of people, they use it when may died but not all, they just have to be short staffed while trying to run a shop that would usually need more people to function
I liked the book of Bobba Fett. Wish there was more. I actually like to see all 3 shows of the same era merge as one. And each episode could have 3 ongoing stories at one time.
The more you reveal about the Skelton Crew, the more interesting it looks. I'm now intrigued enough to watch and is actually looking forward to its release.
I think since we don't exactly know what The Mandalorian and Grogu is exactly about or just how much it is connected to the current Mandoverse at large, it's hard to say if Boba Fett should be there or not, even though its too bad TBOBF is getting shunned like this... But with that said, it seems to me the logical course for finishing out Boba Fett's redemption arc would be with story that invoves connecting to Omega, and ultimately juxtaposing the "long lost twins' story of the OT. I had wondered when it was revealed that Lucy Lawless had a role in what we might assume was Rangers of the New Republic, if she could possibly have been playing adult Omega (Yes, I know it should probably be a Moari actress, but I think at the very least a New Zealand or Austrialian actress given Omega's accent on TBB)?? And alow and behold TBB ends with Omega becoming a rebel pilot, so not a stetch that she may become a Republic or Resistence pilot in the post ROTJ era. And then there are some interesting connections/throughlines between TBOBF and TBB S1 also (Cad Bane, Fennic Shand, Rancor episode, and Pike Syndicate). So whatever they may do with Boba Fett, I feel like Omega needs to come into play and that may not make sense until some of these other Heir to the Empire/Rise of the New Order stories get going first, but I think we are on the precepis of hitting the middle of the gap between trilogies where things may more dramitically turn over and where there would more room to tell that kind of a story within the midst of these other things.
Really looking forward to Skeleton Crew. I don't care that it's aimed at a younger audience. If Disney takes a leaf from Dreamwork's book, there'll be embedded adult stuff that'll just go over younger viewers heads.
Season 2: Adventures of Boba Fett or Bounties of Boba Fett. Flashback episodes with single stories every week. Just avoid the space Vespa scooter stuff, and we’ll like it.
It wasn't planned to have Grogu going back in BoBF. Din even said so in s3. I did my part but he came back. I'm quite sure that this changed after Chapek brought Kathleen back to oversee the Mandalorian. I don't thinj it was Jon Favreau's origial plan. He wanted Luke and Grogu together
Mando should have ended at the end of the season 2 finale, because season 3 was written so poorly that it weakened the show by a lot, especially the Jack Black/Lizzo cameo where Christopher Lloyd was about as under used as Temura Morrison was in The Book of Boba Fett and he deserved better considering how epic his appearance in Mando was. Oh... and Cad Bane is not dead. Neither is Jecki, but that's another story...
Thanks for this Meg! I agree that we can already see that Skeleton Crew is going to be meaty and huge! There is gonna be some REAL Lore in it! Also... It is obvious that by the waylaying of three episodes of BOBF into the direct storyline of The Mandalorian, The BOBF Series is literally part of The Mandalorian Series. It is sincerely shitty that BOBF isn't being released with the other two steel books! I call shenanigan's!
You have great content, I enjoy your vids but have you thought about using an AI voice over app. And if this is an AI narrator, then you need to switch it up.
Why can't we just be honest about TBOBF? It sucked. Fans tuned in hoping it would get better...and it DID. The two episodes that DIDN'T have Boba Fett in them were great. Much like Reva being the main character in the Kenobi series, TBOBF really did its title character wrong. Tie-ins are fine, but don't disrespect the title of a show by giving us something unrelated.
I enjoyed it up until it got ruined when they had 2 episodes dedicated to Mando. Show is low tier in terms of Star Wars shows, but not as bad as The Acolyte. But biggest issue is that because of Mando, Boba Fett was kinda gonna suffer.
Well, that's just the thing, isn't it? The sequels are based on George's treatments... at least the parts that some people have a problem with. Your other expectations built up over 40 years didn't play out, but they were in George's story and that means they are within his vision. That means Kathy kept her promise, even if it wasn't to the letter of what George thought he was getting out of his decision to sell his _"children to white slavers."_ I understand we all waited two years to see Luke toss a lightsaber over his shoulder. The same one that was in his hand when his father cut it off. The same reminded him of how he tossed his lightsaber aside and said, "I will not fight you!" We all jumped to the conclusion that Luke tried to kill his sister's baby. The nephew he was trying to protect from falling to the dark side, but there's mote than meets the eye there. There was a lot more happening in that room, Ben's hut, that we still don't know. But that's what we saw -- what Luke said. He saw _"the eyes of a frightened little boy"_ and he knew Ben thought he would kill him in his sleep because Snoke already had him convinced that his uncle would. Rian wanted us to think that the first time, but the third time, a little bit more of the truth came out. Luke realized it wasn't coming from Ben and in the same reaction, as if he was pulled back in time to the Death Star II, he had many times before, when Darth Sidious goaded him to take his weapon and strike him down, he ignited the saber. The Force was trying to tell him it's a two-way street. If Sidious can project himself into the hut and influence Ben, Luke could project himself to Sidious... What if he'd realized he could do that then? He thought it was impossible. Another new concept he wasn't able to grasp. _"Do or do not."_ You see, George was upset they didn't use the parts that were important to him. They didn't go into the deep dive into the microbiotic world. They didn't understand it well enough and they called him in to explain it, but he didn't want to take the time to explain it. He stormed out and told people *"they aren't using my ideas."* He never said they threw them in the trash. I have a feeling people would've been just as _'confused'_ by his long record of doing something different if he produced the sequels himself. It's the same scenario with *Splinter of the Mind's Eye" and ESB, and things got even worse with the changes he made in the prequels. My first suggestion is to have patience and try to understand, because there's a lot of ambiguity in the sequels and Rian did his job _'a little too well'_ with misdirection. My second suggestion is to get over it or die mad, because they aren't changing the sequels for a few thousand upset fans. Canon is canon and the EU are Legends for one main reason -- they aren't within George's vision.
Yeah g'day, WTF! The Mouse House is again ignoring BoB, and it is their fault that the series was stuffed up by insisting on using it to milk that cash cow, 'The Kid,' during what should have been a show about Boba ending being an episode about 'The Kid'. Also giving the show to Rodreguez was a massive mistake and should have been given to BDH. It's a goodnight from you and it's a goodnight from the broken, cantankerous, belligerent, obnoxious, obstinate, obstreperous, cynical Old Fart.
I’m hoping that the Book of Boba Fett comes out in the next round of physical media releases. So far Disney has been doing them every six months.
Me too. I actually really liked the show and his character growth.
Indeed! And Fennec Shand, as well!
I'm optimistic and excited for the Skeleton Crew!

I’m excited for Skeleton Crew!
Star Wars MEG is the SW 🐐!
'The Book of Boba Fett' was Mando S2.5 -- so just market it as that 😄 I'd include it in Mando S3 DVD set, if thry dkn't release it separately.
I'm so excited for the Skeleton Crew!

I bought The Book Of Boba Fett on DVD in 2022 (2 region-free DVDs). It is obviously not an official release, but they are still available.
Why did some people skip The Book of Boba Fett? It literally is The Mandalorian Season 2.5.

I love it too. So many memorable moments!!❤
I loved it but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t horrifically flawed.

Season 3 of Mando was heavily set up by Book of Boba Fett, so if they don’t do some kind of recap, people will be completely lost

It was finitely planned. Grogu's story was written to mirror Tatum's story in (1973) *Paper Moon.*

Baylen was only a good character because of a guy who played them Ray Stevenson was the best
Book of Boba was always Mando 2.5 and not it's own thing. Maybe they release it with Mando 3.

We can stop trying to tie everything to the failed non-canon of Disney movies? It just makes everything sound less important.
This is the issue. That ought to be the most important connection, and yet it just invokes a feeling of dread.
If this is the non-canon, where can I find new SW content made by George Lucas?
