Hi guys! It’s Jake with Lax Weekly and today we’re taking a look at this mom who tries to fight a lacrosse player during a lacrosse game. This was hilarious lol

I coached association through varsity and the first thing I said at every parent meeting was "under no circumstances are you to ever enter the field. The shame/embarrassment you will inflict upon your child is far worse than anything that could ever happen to them by the other team." Based on the comments, I was right.

It’s funny how this incident blew up all over media. The mom was the mom of a former teammate of mine. This happened around my sophomore year of HS. That moment was lowkey legendary 😂

Bro in middle school summer league I took a very small kids (he was probably 5’ and I was 6’) head off when I was playing defense on him. After I did it the parents of the kids on the other team were calling for my head screaming bloody murder and my parents just slumped down in their chairs and hid and didn’t say a word. Needless to say my parents wouldn’t have done that for me.

Unless you are playing stay off the field. Actually when 51 was pushing and shoving he held his own, but what he should have done was be more heads up and prepare to break the big dudes ankles instead.

That dude called man and was letting his teammate get ball. Looked good. Parents are fun (yeah, I am a parent now)
if the volume was off, minus the "mom" I would've thought the same thing. Big dude was keeping the other player busy and his faster teammate would be able to execute a faster retrieval and run than the bigger. Liked the play, hated the "Karen". If you don't want to get hit by a linebacker then don't be in their zone or run faster than they can. LOL Karen hahahaha

man/ball - big fella doing what he should do and has been taught to do I imagine - he takes man who dropped ball and runs interference so a teammate can scoop the ball (ball-down). For Karen: Too many players on the field - flag thrown. The initial hit was clean as 51 engaged him as well and bounced off.

clean play, big men want to get rough because thats there game, dont blame him one bit. the little guy needs to learn he is quicker and faster and prob could have gotten the ground ball and then the big guy would have been stupid and pushed him from behind. ive seen it a million times, let the guy push you and get the pentaly. 51 from nd is 5 6 or something but quick as hell and smart, he always gets clobbered but its usually a penalty bc he is always in great position. also the smaller guy needs to turn his back to the defender , watch the good players they do this all the time, they never go head to head with another player bigger and stronger then them. honestly the smaller guy made the contact because he wanted to get physcial and it turned out to be a turnover, and thats ok. thats why lax is so much fun. the parents r the only part of the game i hate. i live in md and the parents r soooo annoying. they all think, there kid is the next gary gait
Totally agree with your last statement. My 10 y.o. son plays lacrosse in MD and it's like these parents see their kids as the greatest gift to lacrosse. They also hyper-focus on one sport, like it is the end-all be-all. My husband and I are like- YO, they're 10. Chill out.
We parental units had a theory 10-15 years ago...the kids mostly chose lax exactly because mom n dad had no experience with it. No war stories, no how to this or that. No insights. No nothing. We, uh...had to stay out of any particulars. They liked that. And we learned something.

They’re just having fun. Ever played D? That’s what they do. I get in fights with D poles all the time since I’m in attack and we just shake it off and fist bump. Not real fights, just get a bit carried away
My mom would’ve watched me fight and then say absolutely nothing to me win or lose. Maybe because she was too busy eating popcorn for the entertainment 🤷♂️

Lol kind of had the same thing happen.. I was,,, I guess the aggressor and we beat the team bad.. After the game some of the other team boys wanted to gang up on me.. And out of no where my Mom whooped in like superman lol.. and starts screaming at them lol.. needless to say nothing ensued after that lol

"Karen" needs to let her kid take care of it. I mean, "Thor" wasn't pounding him with fists. If anything, tiny Tim learned that he needs to NOT run into a "Thor" type player. My kid plays lacrosse and he's a little bigger than the other's... the other's know ... if you want to get "hit - legal LAX" then venture into the hit zone... if you don't then out run the defender.
No parent should even be to the game. Period.

This is what happens when you have parents putting kids in lacrosse to AVOID contact, then you get kids who play the game how it’s supposed to be played and they look like the bad guys. The sport needs its grittiness back

I’m just like stfu you never played this sport before so get out my face or take your son out the league. Its a CONTACT sport. Sign him up for tennis if this is too rough for your liking.
