- Two best sellers from Maen have been refined and upgraded. Both have fully decorated handwind calibers. Today I feature the Manhattan 39 Ultra Thin, and the Skymaster 38 Mark III. Considering the level of movement, finish, detail, and fit compared to the retail price- I think this is one of the better microbrands out there.

That chrono is just gorgeous
Love that ultra-thin. What a stunner
Bruce, in my humble opinion: the level of quality of your videos, showcasing your photographic skills, use of lighting indoors and outdoors, really is among the top 2 or 3 for watch enthusiast content creators on RUclips. Especially the outdoor shots really give us a good sense of how the watches look in sunlight or just natural light.
You, along with Oisin O'Malley, with his extraordinary videos are my favorites to follow and have definitely influenced me in past purchases.
It is really not so easy to find videos where the lighting and high resolution are perfect and the watch is shown in so many angles and settings... all at a slow enough pace of filming to be able to enjoy the watch.
Great job and look forward to your next video.
HI from Berlin!
That is very kind of you to say, thank you. One of these days I need to make the switch to 4k.
They both look solid, thanks a lot for sharing!
Both of these watches are sensational!
Love Maen watches - I have the Hudson 38 and really happy with it!
I have a Maen Hudson SangHwal limited edition (I got the last one available) and I really love it, it is a wonderful watch.
Maen is solid. The chronograph is a masterpiece. Imagine the price with the omega logo on the front.
Was there much play on the bezel movement? I have the first rendition of their chronograph. One of my criticisms is that the bezel is rather loose. I’m wondering if that was improved upon.
That time-only Maen is sick. I always wanted one, but they only made the little one.
I haven't handled either of these but i love this brands designs . Not sure about the price point but i haven't experienced them yet either
I really like the Chrono but idk why the bidirectional bezel with the 12 hour markers just rubs me the wrong way. It’s an incredible watch with an incredible movement, but for some reason I can’t get over that bezel. That being said Bruce great cinematography you’re content is really incredible.
I appreciate that! The chronograph also comes with a fixed tachymetre bezel option
Nice, Bruce, but I am through with prepaying, even if only 2-3 months.
What’s the wrist size of the person that is trying on the watch in the vid?
The Manhattan's thinness is impressive for a mechanical below $1k. I don't know how you can mess up a Newman Daytona homage, but somehow they did it - the logo on the dial (font+size) and overall proportions seem off
the ultra- thin is cool, but if you delete the seconds hand, you might as well make it quartz. It'd be less expensive, more accurate, and just as thin.
The chrono's a beauty!!
Plz check out the Pitzman 3
Is this a prototype as the hands look different on the model on the website?
My bad - hands are the same. Looked different against that dial colour.
This is a sample...peter kotsa outlined the changes being made for production models
Love both. The fake aged lume and the end of the second hand ruined it. Whitelume and a red tip would make it perfect.
The lack of a seconds hand on the Manhattan is a deal breaker imo.
I think they were going for that AP Jumbo feel
@@kdseydlorskyi think it’s because they can make the watch thinner

Commander Data over here briefing people on the time down to the second. 😂
If your time needs to be that accurate then you shouldn’t even be buying a watch in the first place.
Unfortunate that it's 39mm. Square watches wear significantly larger than round watches. Doing some basic geometry, a 39mm square watch has the same area as a 44mm round watch. So it does not wear anything like a true 39
They have 37 models
They have a 37 that is 2.2mm thicker but comes with an automatic movement. It also has a seconds hand, unlike the 39.
The clasp is the only thing holding me back from mean tbh
