I think what changed (other than murphy no longer at his peak) is that at Rio Murphy clearly had the better skills. At tokyo it was pretty even and rylovs swims were just better.
Murphy's PB in 200m backstroke is 1:53.57, still slower than 1:53.27

For many (mostly Americans) Rylov was doped, not to mention that the most of the people talking don’t even know how to swim and they don’t know anything about this sport. Murphy gave a bad example of someone who doesn’t know how to lose and also a coward not taking accountability for his words, saying his words were not direct to Rylov, but the race in general (really??),which is a shame because I was a fan of him. So resuming this mess: Rylov 2 x Olympic Champion doped / Phelps 23 x Olympic champion, not even a doubt ( I am the first to think that Phelps was the most talented and hard worker, but this is a very poor mindset from American and not only fans). Not to mention that Rylov is also European and two times world champion so he got tested enough. The scandals of American Athletes sent to the Olympics like Justin Gatlin, Carl Lewis, Marion Jones, Lance Armstrong are not relevant to those people.
I'm happy, that somewhere in the world someone has objective opinion about Russian sportsmen! I do want to mention the situation with Simone Biles in Tokyo. It's interesting for me how she got her Olympic gold medals?!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Russia wasn't allowed to compete under their national flag because they had many doping cases. The guys at the olympics had to do tests to prove they were clean but still couldn't compete under their flag

Rylov supports putin’s regime. Rylov has to be thrown out of all international swimming events. Fina is a disgrace for not banning russian and belarussian athletes
Not all Russian and Belarusian athletes are in support of his regime. We need to stop generalizing athletes, and punishing athletes for the faults of their countries. I am also fairly sure I read somewhere that he was forced to support Putin and the invasion. So yes, if he supported Putin willingly then he should be punished, but until we are 100% sure that it was not against his will we should hold back on the insults and restrictions.
American athletes should be thrown out of all events as USA bullied Putin with NATO and provoked Putin to start the war.

The thing I hate about people is how simple-minded they are. The media tells you that just the Russians are doping and you believe it. What if I told that probably the whole field isn't absolutely clean. It's the Olympics and a lot is at stakes and my opinion is that none of them are clean so you can say it was an even playing field.
