There are different opinions, but on Motorways in the UK you should be in the left Lane unless you are overtaking or road signs and markings direct you otherwise.
Nice video 😊 bro you are My favourite driving teacher and favourite RUclipsr I have a question ❓ because you have great knowledge of automobiles my question is if we buy a car for example toyota yaris 2 generation or any other car how much the engine is good to run or works fine I mean how much Miles like 400000 miles or 500000 miles the engines life is and after that what we can do change engine or what is your suggestion lots of love 😘 bro please tell me
Thank you. The answer to your question is the length of a piece of string. It varies greatly from engine to engine and how well they're looked after. The trouble with a used car is, you don't know what the previous owner has done, my car has nearly 190,000 miles on it and it's still good, but I do look after it. Some engines have done over 500,000 miles but normally they're still relatively young and have been used as a taxi. In my opinion, age is more important than miles. There was a Volvo P1800 I think in the US that did 3 million and is still going.
Hey, could you consider doing a vid on traffic light cross roads. Specifically, where to wait in the middle to turn right. I’m not fully confident yet on when you wait/turn behind oncoming traffic also turning right or wait/turn offside to them. ..if that makes sense? Thank you :)
Your videos really help me very much, my test is in October, I have a question; can I use parking brake in driving test during hill starts or at stopping to traffic lights on hills? I’m struggling to continue on lights in hills and my instructor don’t say me to use it on any occasions, just on parking the car
You can use the parking brake for hill starts in the UK. As long as you drive the car in a safe and legal way, the way you achieve this isn't that important.
I want to know that when riding at high speed and have to slow down what to do press clutch then brakes or press brakes and let it slow down and then press clutch, I'm confused
Do you reverse with the break or gas? What if you come off the break and start reversing fast? Do you use the break or cluth?. Can you do a video about reversing, only the padels(reversing slowly and reversing fast)
Hi, your videos are very helpful even though I passed already, is there any chance you can show us how to parallel park from the front, to the right side lane, because often when I try to reverse parallel park to the right, the car behind doesnt seem to wait and i will have to carry on ahead and find another spot
When trying to parallel park I recommend stopping before the space you want, using the signal in the direction of the space and then carefully proceeding forwards before reversing into the space. This usually warns traffic behind to wait for you to do the manoeuvre.
One question, I've always found putting my car in neutral while slowing down for a red light is better and I find it easy to control it as well, will the clutch still be damaged or the engine.
If you do that then you lose out on Engine Braking, and then it's solely the brakes doing all the work. Which is alright but you might end up replacing brake pads a bit earlier
Do as he says in this video, apply the foot brake until revs are near idle, then press the clutch. This way applies less wear to your brakes as the engine is helping you to slow also, which puts no strain on the engine either. Well, maybe a slight bit but far less than you put on your brakes by only using your brakes :)
I’ve had 55hrs I’m not a bad driver just make a little mistakes here and there. My test is soon so I’ll be watching you a lot till then. I also saw your video on fiesta what I planned to buy as a first car or a focus. What do you prefer?
Could you press the gas and let go of it straight away once its rev'd to the correct RPM and then change gear/set off? So you dont have to hold the gas steady whilst finding the bite
There are many reasons, I recommend having an diagnostics tool you can plug into the OBD2 port to read the fault codes. An essential tool if you want to work on your own car.
if you get the rev range right, it's actually quite easy, the gears just slot it. Handy skill for when you can't usue a clutch or the cylinder is broken in emergencies
You can pull a car out of gear without pressing the clutch in pretty easily. Pretty sure it's not good for the gearbox though. Putting it back into gear (without the clutch) requires that you can control the engine speed to precisely the rpm it will be at in gear. This is called rev matching, and this channel has a few videos on it. Normally, you would still press down the clutch, since any minor differences in speed between the engine and car put undue strain on the gearbox. The purpose of rev matching in a normal scenario is to make shifting smoother during downshifts or when at higher revs. When rev matching, since the engine is very near the speed it needs to be, you can come off the clutch much more quickly, which is useful for fast driving.
I did this by accident very recently. I had to make a tight left hand turn (I'm in the US, so that would be a right hand turn for the UK). I forgot to press the clutch when I downshifted from third into second gear. Nothing happened. I was down to 8 mph when I did it. My car did not make any strange noises or jerking motions. I did not do it on purpose, I made a mistake. The good news is, everything feels normal on my car. I didn't break anything. So my thought is, if you change gears without the clutch by accident, don't worry about it. Manual transmissions are built to be tough. But don't make a habit out of it.
@@hamsterama I've done that a few times myself. Doing it once or twice by accident certainly isn't going to cause any major harm. Doing it repeatedly though will probably damage the sychronizers over time.
Hey so I recently started to learn rev-matching when downshifting. When I change from 5th to 4th gear it's pretty simple to do but from 4th to 3rd I struggle (the car gives a slight jerk) should I hold my leg on gas a lil longer or smth?
It's a shame clutch control will one day become a lost art, it's like if you ask most under 30s what a manual choke is they'd look at you like you've told them santa clause isn't real 😄
The purpose of a clutch is to disconnect and reconnect. With a manual transmission, the clutch has a friction lining that allows some slip so you can reconnect smoothly.
The reason why we need to disconnect and reconnect is the true question. The answer to the question is, the engine cannot spin slowly so we must disconnect the engine from the wheels so we can stop the wheels without stopping the engine.
I’m doing my test in my own car however it does have a few modifications and aftermarket parts fitted. Would this ever be an issue and potentially cause an examiner to not do the test because of the alterations to a car?
As long as it's appropriate for the situation, there is no set limit on how high you rev the engine but you should be driving in a safe and legal way whilst also trying to be economical. So needlessly red lining the tachometer or accelerating harder than necessary won't be appreciated.
@@Dodo.isp22 Yes this is correct, I'm on day 3 of driving my first manual transmission. Got lazy with depressing the clutch on the interstate yesterday and heard that horrible sound. Definitely don't want to do that again!

@@hamsterama I've done that a few times myself. Doing it once or twice by accident certainly isn't going to cause any major harm. Doing it repeatedly though will probably damage the sychronizers over time.
Why is the Gear indecator lost its mind at 1:57
Hi , Do you conduct online classes for people from outside UK ?
I'm sorry, these videos are the only online lessons I do.
Gears indicator when stolling goes crazy xdd
Hey so I recently started to learn rev-matching when downshifting. When I change from 5th to 4th gear it's pretty simple to do but from 4th to 3rd I struggle (the car gives a slight jerk) should I hold my leg on gas a lil longer or smth?

It's a shame clutch control will one day become a lost art, it's like if you ask most under 30s what a manual choke is they'd look at you like you've told them santa clause isn't real 😄
So basically the purpose of any clutch in any machine is to sync the rev speed between two rotating shafts?m?
The purpose of a clutch is to disconnect and reconnect. With a manual transmission, the clutch has a friction lining that allows some slip so you can reconnect smoothly.
The reason why we need to disconnect and reconnect is the true question. The answer to the question is, the engine cannot spin slowly so we must disconnect the engine from the wheels so we can stop the wheels without stopping the engine.
@@ConquerDriving ohhhhh thx
I’m doing my test in my own car however it does have a few modifications and aftermarket parts fitted. Would this ever be an issue and potentially cause an examiner to not do the test because of the alterations to a car?
If your car is safe and legal then it should be fine.
I have got a question, during a test can we rev the car as high as we want to accelerate faster on the highway or even in other situations ?
As long as it's appropriate for the situation, there is no set limit on how high you rev the engine but you should be driving in a safe and legal way whilst also trying to be economical. So needlessly red lining the tachometer or accelerating harder than necessary won't be appreciated.
How hard/far should I press down on the clutch pedal when changing gears? Thanks
You should press it firmly at its maximum, otherwise it would make a horrible grinding sound.
As far down as it can go
@@Dodo.isp22 Yes this is correct, I'm on day 3 of driving my first manual transmission. Got lazy with depressing the clutch on the interstate yesterday and heard that horrible sound. Definitely don't want to do that again!
All the way down is best.
All we need is love.
Also food, water, air, sleep and survivable temperature. +pizza...
