I lived in the PI for 2 years. Awesome nice people. Best milk in the world. Chocolate milk especially. Fantastic beer. Steak, prawn, chicken. Pork sticks. A beautiful country.
Hi Perdido. Am happy that you have a good impression and experience in the Philippines. 2 years? So you have been to some great beaches and islands in the Philippines, right?

Proud filipino here right now im here in us and im very happy that some of the foreigners really appreciate our country the people place food and our culture
Since I visited last January, I've been hooked on Philippines Travel Vlogs because I miss it so badly. I'm contemplating on booking another trip this January. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously on people's travel vlogs on the Philippines. If you've been thinking about visiting the Philippines, I highly recommend doing it. People are amazing, food are amazing, lots of places to see and explore, and wonderful experiences to cherish. Plus, knowing English is already a great start!
I haven’t been to the Philippines in years and this series of travel deeper will probably make me buy my ticket and go back! I can’t wait to see the rest!
Videos like these make me smile bc I get to see my native country that I had to leave when I was three :-)) I live in America and hope to one day visit more of my family in the Philippines.
I was in the Philippine's in the 70's, back then Manila was much less crowded and truly beautiful. It was interesting to watch them build a new ski scraper, they used bamboo scaffolding. Baguio is nice to visit much cooler in the mountains, however was scary to travel there back then. We were about halfway up the mountain when we had to go around a broken down army truck. As we passed it became obvious what happened it was full of bullet holes. Also back then the most common working class breakfast was fish heads and rice wrapped up in a banana leaf. Also, if we at meat that wasn't fish, pork or chicken it likely barked before it was butchered.
@@cedriclamit9776 Yes most likely, they were also dealing with Muslim insurgents. I was a K-9 handler, at Clark USAFB, and it wasn't uncommon to here gun fights off base at night. They would probe on base but they weren't looking for a fight. If we contacted them you fired a slap flare and got the hell out of there. We were only armed with a 38 cal revolver, a fire team would respond and check the area. Of course the bad guys would be long gone.
Manila has never been beautiful......homeless people sleeping on the streets, kids beggin because they are hungry, foreign drivers pulled over just because they are foreign and the local corrupt cops pull them over to take bribes, shit in the streets, have a look at Manila Zoo..it is a example of just HOW beautiful Manila is...really rotten. It is a total fuck hole.
That may be true today, however in the 1970's it was a great city to visit. Very clean and the people were friendly. You must remember the population has tripled since the 70's. The downside was martial law with strict rules. You learned if you heard a cop yelling hinto hinto it was time to hit the ground because they fired on anyone running from the police and they were poor shots.
Very much different now....a big transformation...you can't imagine the changes...from 70's to now....you will be amazed....just google or youtube..so many tourist coming now a days...
Just found your channel and I'm loving it so far! I've heard lots of wonderful things about the people in the Philippines, and it's nice to see that you had a great experience with them right off the bat. The food you had looks delicious! All of the dishes sound so interesting. I bet you could spend hours exploring that market! I love that you spoke a bit about the history there as well!
You will enjoy the tourists spots but there are so many things to do... the best way is to have a local partner...or someone who can guide you if you are planning to travel all over the Philippines....But as I said there is so much now on RUclips that can guide you on how to have the Best of the Philippines..
Gareth, I wish you could comeback soon! So you see the new Manila under the care of Mayor Isko a lot of changes a much cleaner and better Manila. Manila has been rehabilitate by the new Mayor lots of new beautiful scenery to see just comeback and see for yourself. We are looking forward to welcome you again here in the Philippines !👍😊

I am lucky to have a couple of good Pinoy friends. So I am very lucky to see the Philippines like not many foreigners have seen it. As a rural Dutch guy, it always takes a couple of days to adjust.
