I was there today 10/11/22 approx 9am. Now I am not casting full judgment on the users, addiction is serious, but the local community, police, and politicians should be down right ashamed. Yesterday I saw a man laying on the sidewalk on my block. He was wrapped up in a blanket. I stopped to see if he was OK. A woman passed by and said "He's always there and sometimes I give him food." But it was the first time I'd ever seen him. I stood there already late for work and watched as people passed him by, some with kids. Some looked and some looked away. I am sure they all had cell phones. I called for an ambulance to come get him. 20 minutes later they came. Point is when we see this we must not pass by. Call the authorities. Call somebody. Make them do their jobs. Don't expect it to get better by itself. And my second point to calling in for help was to let it be known that we aren't going to allow another fellow human being to lay on the ground and pass him by like it's nothing at all even if he refuses the help, we tried. We all have to care if we don't want this to happen in our town. ❤

Once one’s brain is and/or have become dependent on a drug, the effects leads to deterioration of the spirit and body of the addict. It is my perspective the misuse of ‘any’ drug whether legal or illegal have consequences of mental destruction.

Yesterday I saw a man laying on the sidewalk on my block. He was wrapped up in a blanket. I stopped to see if he was OK. A woman passed by and said "He's always there and sometimes I give him food." But it was the first time I'd ever seen him. I stood there already late for work and watched as people passed him by, some with kids. Some looked and some looked away. I am sure they all had cell phones. I called for an ambulance to come get him. 20 minutes later they came. Point is when we see this we must not pass by. Call the authorities. Call somebody. Make them do their jobs. Don't expect it to get better by itself. And my second point to calling in for help was to let it be known that we aren't going to allow another fellow human being to lay on the ground and pass him by like it's nothing at all even if he refuses the help, we tried. We all have to care if we don't want this to happen in our town. ❤
