For the frozen hot chocolate try it with chocolate milk ice cubes. Just freeze some of the Chocolate milk into ice cubes. I do the same when I do a frozen or iced coffee so that when ice melts it doesn't water down the drink flavor!
Whilst meatloaf generally might be fine for dogs, the meatloaf you made contained sage and onion stuffing, and both sage and onion are poisonous to dogs! Please be careful with Boston!
Who ever writes your subtitles thank them (or thank you if you do them) for using the word ‘chortles’ I knew exactly what laugh you were using! Silken tofu would be a great ingredient to use, that with melted chocolate makes an amazing quick and healthy mousse!
My favourite meatloaf EVER was my mom's. She would add some egg to the ground beef, then flatten it out into a rectangle shape. She'd then place a layer each of spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. She'd roll it up, put it seam side down in a loaf pan, and bake it. Best meatloaf I've ever had!
For the meatloaf there's a "lazy" meatloaf recipe that uses the meat with the stuffing mix but instead of milk, BBQ sauce. Then you top the meatloaf with the BBQ sauce too for a yummy glaze 😋
I`m a vegan, but I love watching your videos. Started when you were still in your old, old house with the little kitchen. The passion, enthusiasm and fun you have when cooking and presenting. Thanks Barry and family! And to all others who does not like or want to eat one of the ingredients used, just replace it with something you like. That's the fun with cooking - experimenting.
I've loved your videos for years. Since I found Barry, I've lived in Chile, various parts of Canada and now Bangkok. Thank you for your great videos speaking across 3 continents for me. Barry, you're a one of a kind fella and I always check to see if there are any new videos from you anytime I jump on RUclips.
These are brilliant! I was watching, figuring out how to 'veggie-fy' the meat dishes and I think I've got it. 😊 💡 I 100% would have eaten the crispy bits on the 'spill tray' under the casserole. 😂 Some frozen banana blitzed into the chocolate drink will be amazing. The frozen banana will make it creamy and do the job of ice cubes at the same time. 😊
If you're going to do meatloaf you should try Forloren Hare (Faux Hare, aka Danish meatloaf) sometime. Won't work for a 3-2-1, but done right it can be absolutely glorious.
I love Tropical Beast! What a great name for a restaurant dessert. I’ve never been a fan of meat loaf but I might try the casserole. Your videos always make me smile. From West Virginia.
My mom always did this meatloaf hack where she used a can of Campbells tomato soup for the liquid binder & she also used that to baste the top. I bet you could do that here too but even better flavor & have the saucy top.
I don't particularly care for meatloaf but when I do make it I use 3 ingredients . Ground beef, evaporated milk (1 can for 2 lbs beef), and Lipton dry onion soup mix. Mix it all together, put in loaf pan and top with ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. Meat comes out juicy and delicious and the topping is very good. I love this recipe because it's very little fuss and like Barry's there are 3 ingredients. I will be making all these dishes, they look delicious.
Quick tip for that mango mousse, I've seen condensed milk that was made from coconut milk. If you replaced the plain condensed milk with that, you'd get yet another layer of tropical flavor. Unless coconut wouldn't pair well with either mango or passionfruit. I've never tasted anything with those three together (and noticed it at least) in order to know for sure.
Even if the dog can have the meat your stuffing mixture has onions in it. Onions are not safe for dogs to have unless you make a separate meat loaf containing just the meat.
I love your videos, I usually watch them with my 1 year old and, when possible, with my mom. We are all fans of the variety of content and and your fun personality. Keep up the amazing work!
I've made meatloaf with stuffing mix quite a few times. So delicious and easy. My recipe uses bbq sauce in it, which adds even more flavor. It's on the Stove Top stuffing website
I make a meatloaf just like that and of course add other things. For a topping I mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar which basically makes a bbq sauce. I flatten it into a pie plate and cook it in the oven at 350°F for about 35 min. It’s a family favourite.
Since the US is stopping the increased food assistance, I’m only going to be receiving $23 next month for food and I think these types of meals and ideas will be super helpful.
😂 brilliant. Your details of the food makes them sound delicious. Fab how you have left the ingredients underneath. My 3 boys are looking forward to trying them out. Thanks 😉 xx
Pro-tip: Put the meatloaf into peppers for meatloaf stuffed peppers, it keeps the meat moist and if you freeze them its great for a quick dinner or lunch.
My meatloaf I do with ground beef and ground pork, add your bread crumbs/stuffing mix, half a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup (or your own cream of something soup) and an egg as a binder, form loafs, add the other half of cream of something soup on top and bake. You can substitute parm. cheese for breadcrumbs and use mayo instead of cream of mushroom soup if you are doing low carb etc. The cream soup/mayo makes the loaf very moist and not dry. I also sometimes sprinkle fried onions on top for a little more flavor.
Love the frozen hot chocolate. I also use chocolate milk for my hot, hot chocolate and it does make it so much richer. You can never have too much chocolate! 😍
@@GriffandZeus Nope. This has a different texture and a richer chocolate flavor. The crushed ice gives it more of a slushy texture as opposed to the smooth creamy texture of a milkshake.
I make Turkey meatloaf with ground turkey, egg, bread crumbs and grated cheddar cheese. It's amazing with a homemade mac and cheese, but I think I am going to replace it with that potato soup dish.
Watched this video at work and knew I had to get the things to make that frozen hot chocolate when I got home. Attempted to make a triple batch for myself and my housemates and our big blender was actually too small for the tripled recipe so I had to forego about a third of the chocolate milk. I was worried my ice cubes wouldn't actually get pulverized enough, but the end result was so smooth I had nothing to worry about. It ended up being more like a milkshake by way of hot chocolate! So so rich and delicious. Thanks for the great recipe ideas as always Barry!
I mean this is a very basic meatloaf hack really, you'd want to maybe make a glaze with it or have some ketchup to hand for dunking but all good! Have fun
@@mrbarrylewis I would definitely add some onions and I glaze my meatloaf with a mixture of ketchup and honey 🍯 it makes it a little sweet… it’s delicious! I’m just very curious how the stuffing will taste
Never seen anyone eat crunchy meatloaf before. ALWAYS cover the loaf, heat to an internal temperature of 155°F (68°C), then let stand for 10 minutes before serving. If you like a caramelized glaze, uncover & switch over to broil after it hits 135°F (57°C) internal...monitor closely. Temp & moisture retention is key! Overmixing also makes it tough.
If I can ever give you any advice Barry.. don’t ever fret about your ‘weight’, you’re perfectly fine as you are. Food is there to be enjoyed, enjoy it. Lost my mum very suddenly & unexpectedly 12 months ago, on her birthday of all days, then my brother (aged 44) in October - don’t sweat the small stuff. I bet sausages would be nice with it too. You’re giving me all the ideas. Take care Barry x
Hot chocolate with ice in it - that reminds me of a good cafe iced chocolate. The sort I recall fondly usually is a good chocolate milk made up with a syrup, and tends to have some ice cubes in the glass. Usually topped with cream.
My potato bake that everyone raves about is sliced potatoes cream and cheese in layers and salt and pepper of course but then you let it cook a long time covered and let the cheese get toasty uncovered near the end it's three ingredients but bomb
Try raw rolled old fashioned oats to replace the breadstuffing/breadcrumbs in the meatloaf. I like the texture better that way. I might try sage, that sounds good..I usually flavor with ketchup and soy sauce and onion minced fine and black pepper.
Oh, Oooo Spanish chocolate milk, I think it was called a La Bumba, dark rum and chocolate milk, tall glass, dark rum then straw (important step) then chocolate milk then, ice, don't stir .... enjoy 😃

Hey Barry, love the vids, even if I dont like what you're cooking 😂 I know it would be a lot of work but have you ever thought of doing a 4-3-2-1 but maybe starting with milk and churning it? That way you could have milk, buttermilk and butter, potentially even some cream too. Not that many recipes call for more than 2 of those but you get the idea...

I’ve always put an egg in my meatloaf. It’s great with some grated onion and/or diced bell peppers and/or carrots.
Stuffing mix to make meatloaf with is a darned good idea
Enjoy your meal while you can as all of that stuff will be on your forbidden foods list when you are older. My meals revolve around parsley lol.
The ham and potato dish reminds me of the casseroles my mother made in the 60's using Campbell soups for a base!

The meatloaf looked amazing, and one I'll definitely replicate as I have all the ingredients :D
