I hope you can listen to a BTS album someday, i recommend especially Love Yourself: Tear and Map of the Soul: 7! BTS is very famous but their most famous songs are not really representative of what they are capable to do, so i really hope that you can check their b-sides as well! If you like THIS specific flavour of BTS, I recommend J-Hope or Suga's Solo work (Look for Agust D, it's Suga) AND ALSO Their earlier work, when they were more hip hop oriented! Cypher 2 and 3 specifically are what got me into BTS, bc I also prefer this sound!!
From BTS I think you would also highly enjoy Not Today, Dope and Fire. Just like MIC Drop, those 3 songs are bangers. And from Stray Kids, I can't wait to your Side Effects reaction!!
As an armystaytiny this made my day! Bts were the first group to get me (and a lot of people) into Kpop! EDM/rap/hip hop wasn’t my style at first but they made me love it and are the reason I know and love stray kids and Ateez so much (and many other groups)! Another self produced group - they debuted in 2013 and have 7 members. They’re a bit like stray kids in that they try out just about every genre. Every album will have some you will love and some that won’t be your taste, but they all have great production quality. Just a heads up - Army (bts fans) are a huge fanbase so this video might blow up and get a lot of attention! We get very excited when people react to BTS lol. If you have time, I would definitely recommend their Map of the Soul: 7 album. It has a good range of genres and includes solo tracks from each member. Thank you for listening as always!

I was so excited you were reacting to BTS. Similar to Stray Kids where the fandom name is STAY, the BTS fandom name is ARMY. Me, as a multistan call myself a STARMY combining both lol. Your videos never disappoint, I love your appreciation for all the different sounds that go into their songs!! Unrelated, It is no where near Christmas time, but during Christmas season highly suggest listening to Christmas Evel by Stray Kids and that music video, it is really fun!!
I thought I didn't really like BTS because I had only heard songs like butter and dynamite but diving deeper into their discography I found some really good songs. Some of my favorites for now are dimple, fake love and ugh.

If you get into their solo stuff, you should try Lost or Nuts by RM, Daechwita by Augst D (aka Suga), Arson by j-hope, Standing Next to You by Jungkook, FRI(END)S by V, Smeraldo Marching Band or Like Crazy by Jimin, and The Astronaut by Jin.
I always said I didn't like BTS because the songs they played on the radio for American audiences were way too "pop" for me. Once I gave in and listened to more of their music and their solo albums I realized they have such a fun sound that I really vibe with. Yoongi's solo stuff specifically is a regular staple on my playlist. He uses the name AgustD for those projects. Also for funsies, highly suggest "Super Tuna" by Jin. IYKYK 😂
I really don't understand why there was/is the need to produce songs that sound like the typical western pop song when they were slowly getting into the western market regardless. It's just giving new listeners a "wrong" image. I'm certain they would've made it anyway
I haven’t seen it suggested yet but you should listen to On. It’s a masterpiece of a song and, as a one time band geek, the marching band reference is just the chef’s kiss. Give it a listen and you’ll see what I mean. 😊 Also, Dude! You’re almost at 10K subscribers! That’s amazing! 🎉

OMG YAY! BTS! They were my introduction to k-pop. I wouldn't even know about Stray Kids if it weren't for BTS getting me into k-pop. I still love BTS and their music very very much. Edit: I think you'll find so much more to love in BTS's discography. It's hard for me to recommend anything specific for you, but maybe stuff like Fire, Not Today, Run BTS, etc. I'll also say that Outro: Tear and Interlude: Shadow are two of my favorite tracks (a rap line song and a Suga solo; Suga is also a rapper who goes by Agust D in his solo projects). If you're looking for albums, I think you could do Dark & Wild or Love Yourself: Tear. Alternatively, Proof is a compilation album of their group title tracks throughout their 10+ years career and some unit and member solo tracks. Edit 2: YAY for you watching the video too. We CHEER! 🎉 Edit 3: Wanted to add that, while they perhaps didn't produce as high a percentage of their own tracks overall as SKZ have, BTS are not far off, with especially their rap line (consisting of RM, Suga and J-Hope) doing a good bit of producing and writing for a good chunk of their songs. Suga has even won a production award before.

not all BTS is like this, they have a much more varied sound than a lot of groups. there’s probably plenty you might not like of theirs but they have an anthology album called “proof” that gives a good overview of their holistic sound. you also might like j-hopes solo stuff as I’ve seen some other people comment! august d’s albums have been my top listened to albums for the past couple of years straight too
Xdinary Heroes and BTS on the same day? You're really spoiling us, aren't you! Also yeah, this feat-version of the remix isn't at all as good as the one where BTS are the sole vocalists (the MV), in my opinion. The mix is exactly the same in both of them though, haha. Also, MICdrop is amazingly well written, mainly by J-hope (the first center guy in the video wearing the black bucket hat) who came up with the concept for the song, its a clapback song for their haters. If you're in the mood for more BTS songs, I'd recommend some of their more obscure hits from the earlier days, some with an electro-vibe and heavy rapping is we are bulletproof pt.2, silver spoon or war of hormone! Also for more of a funky feeling I'd say Dis-ease and outro: Ego, because BTS are ridiculous and always have fire intros and outros on their albums. You're likely to get a hundred recs for ddaeng, ugh and the cyphers, haha, so I wanted to offer some less popular songs I really think you'd enjoy. But yeah, those recommendations are also very good. Also the members of BTS has done a lot of solo albums and I think you'd really like J-Hopes and Suga's stuff (he uses Agust D as his artist name for his solo stuff), they're both rappers/producers and can sound very angry when they want to. Specifically for Agust D is; Agust D (his first solo-single), Give it to me, Daechwita, and HUH!? feat J-hope For J-Hope I'd say Arson, More and for his more funky stuff, NEURON from his latest album. Oh, this is so much fun! Can't wait to see more.
So fun fact when I started working with 4th graders 4 yrs ago the girls were obsessed with BTS to the point I couldn’t stand to hear about them! Then I became a Stay 😂 now I’m hearing this song and absolutely loving it!! 😂
BTS started as a hip hop group, but like SKZ they have covered almost every genre. They lean heavily into hip hop, r&b, edm and rap, but you’ll find elements of all other genres in their music. It’s funny because many people first discovered them through their 2020/2021 songs- Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance which are by far their most pop songs. They were meant to be uplifting songs to help people through the pandemic, but are actually very far from their “typical” sound! If you delve deeper into BTS, I think you’ll find a ton of stuff you like. ☺️
BTS have quite the varied discography and their sound has evolved quite a bit since they started. I think they're at their best when they delve into darker sounds and themes, so my top album recommendation would be Love Yourself : Tear, which came out just a few months after Mic Drop. They're currently on a group hiatus (both for personal and practical reasons : they felt burnt out, and they also had to enlist in the military ; as of today two of them have finished, and the other five will be done next june, and they promised to come back as a group soon after) but in the last couple of years, there's been solo projects from a member or another every few months - all very different from each other.

Edit 2 - I’m gonna be commenting this whole time lmao. I told you BTS was for you!! I know I’m not the only one, by far, but when you paused to say this is a playlist song I started giggling like a maniac. Between Stray Kids, Ateez, and BTS you have SOOOO MUCH music to discover!!!! BTS has sooooooo much awesome music out there. This isn’t the tip of the iceberg, you can barely even SEE the iceberg with this one song lol Edit 3 - Please please do RM’s Right People Wrong Place - especially since the behind the scenes movie is coming out in theaters in early December. Also J-Hope’s Jack in The Box. I think you’d really like the other BTS members’ solo projects, but those two especially. Although the more content of yours I watch the more I think Agust D’s D-Day and Jimin’s Face should be in there too. But at that point I might as well recommend V’s album and Jungkook’s 😅😳😂😂). So for now, I’m sticking with recommending RM’s Right People Wrong Place, and J-Hope’s Jack In The Box as top contenders for what I think you’d like.

Not a huge fan of this version featuring designer, the one with just bts and Steve is better imo, especially the audio version. I feel like it loses quite a bit of the impact in this version since its missing a lot of the original music sections, including verses from the members and musical/dance breaks. (Btw the part at the end that you thought would continue to a drop actually does in the audio version). I'm so glad you enjoyed the song though and I hope you react to more bts in the future!
This version is more a Designer song than a BTS song, which is a bit sad, since this is the first BTS song Tony reacts to. It should have been the one that showcase BTS and not Designer.
Okay we absolutely positively IMMEDIATELY need to get you into Agust D! That is the rap name of one of the members of BTS when he is doing solo projects and it’s a necessity that you run do not walk to his albums. It’s angry, hard rap that is produced well. He has 3 albums and they are all great.

The beginning had a lot of music of BTS with rock vibes - not surprising with a discography of over 300 songs (500 when you count the solo work and remixes). I wouldn't call "Jack in the Box" for example a Pop album. Their solo albums are different, we both know they each fall under completely different genres on their own, that's their individuality. But I don't want to argue semantics about the meaning of pop. The reason why I didn't recommend BTS is the same reason why I didn't recommend seventeen or txt etc. The radio friendly stuff isn't what someone from rock would generally like from the get go. I thought I'd give the man a chance to get into Kpop before introducing the OGs. He found it on his own, which is great because there's going to be more content from him for me to watch 🥰 BTS is in my top 3 of all time favourites. @@seemajaffer561 I don't think you recomanded anything in your first post. I'm not very good with genre but suggesting a song or two in the direction the youtuber likes is always a possibility and gently introduce them. For example a lot of males are unsure about them but often the Hiphop/Rap stuff works: be it "Mic Drop" or "Hiphop Lover" or "Outro: Tear" - it is always an easy in. As boracity's vid shows there are many that came in that initially had some concerns - doesn't matter of they explicitly voiced them or not. But once you enjoy this stuff you can also listen once or twice a song that you are more hesitant about. With the prejudice lowered because you enjoyed those other songs you can maybe find joy in those other songs, too, especially if you know the context and the lyrics. Same way I had prejudice about Hiphop and Rap - but thanks to BTS I learned more about it and I learned to give those genres the respect they deserve. Recently I realized how far that progressed when I was angry at the lecturer that I listened to because he pretty much choose a decade last century when music became too "commercial" - no, I do not know how he included Hiphop in that - so there was no good music after. I also enjoyed my elementary niece rapping along to a child song in my language. We never stop learning as you know. 💜

Unrelated, It is no where near Christmas time, but during Christmas season highly suggest listening to Christmas Evel by Stray Kids and that music video, it is really fun!!
I thought I didn't really like BTS because I had only heard songs like butter and dynamite but diving deeper into their discography I found some really good songs. Some of my favorites for now are dimple, fake love and ugh.

If you get into their solo stuff, you should try Lost or Nuts by RM, Daechwita by Augst D (aka Suga), Arson by j-hope, Standing Next to You by Jungkook, FRI(END)S by V, Smeraldo Marching Band or Like Crazy by Jimin, and The Astronaut by Jin.
I always said I didn't like BTS because the songs they played on the radio for American audiences were way too "pop" for me. Once I gave in and listened to more of their music and their solo albums I realized they have such a fun sound that I really vibe with.
Yoongi's solo stuff specifically is a regular staple on my playlist. He uses the name AgustD for those projects. Also for funsies, highly suggest "Super Tuna" by Jin. IYKYK 😂
I really don't understand why there was/is the need to produce songs that sound like the typical western pop song when they were slowly getting into the western market regardless. It's just giving new listeners a "wrong" image. I'm certain they would've made it anyway

I haven’t seen it suggested yet but you should listen to On. It’s a masterpiece of a song and, as a one time band geek, the marching band reference is just the chef’s kiss. Give it a listen and you’ll see what I mean. 😊

OMG YAY! BTS! They were my introduction to k-pop. I wouldn't even know about Stray Kids if it weren't for BTS getting me into k-pop. I still love BTS and their music very very much.
Edit: I think you'll find so much more to love in BTS's discography. It's hard for me to recommend anything specific for you, but maybe stuff like Fire, Not Today, Run BTS, etc. I'll also say that Outro: Tear and Interlude: Shadow are two of my favorite tracks (a rap line song and a Suga solo; Suga is also a rapper who goes by Agust D in his solo projects).
If you're looking for albums, I think you could do Dark & Wild or Love Yourself: Tear. Alternatively, Proof is a compilation album of their group title tracks throughout their 10+ years career and some unit and member solo tracks.

Edit 3: Wanted to add that, while they perhaps didn't produce as high a percentage of their own tracks overall as SKZ have, BTS are not far off, with especially their rap line (consisting of RM, Suga and J-Hope) doing a good bit of producing and writing for a good chunk of their songs. Suga has even won a production award before.

not all BTS is like this, they have a much more varied sound than a lot of groups. there’s probably plenty you might not like of theirs but they have an anthology album called “proof” that gives a good overview of their holistic sound.
you also might like j-hopes solo stuff as I’ve seen some other people comment! august d’s albums have been my top listened to albums for the past couple of years straight too
Xdinary Heroes and BTS on the same day? You're really spoiling us, aren't you! Also yeah, this feat-version of the remix isn't at all as good as the one where BTS are the sole vocalists (the MV), in my opinion. The mix is exactly the same in both of them though, haha. Also, MICdrop is amazingly well written, mainly by J-hope (the first center guy in the video wearing the black bucket hat) who came up with the concept for the song, its a clapback song for their haters.
If you're in the mood for more BTS songs, I'd recommend some of their more obscure hits from the earlier days, some with an electro-vibe and heavy rapping is we are bulletproof pt.2, silver spoon or war of hormone! Also for more of a funky feeling I'd say Dis-ease and outro: Ego, because BTS are ridiculous and always have fire intros and outros on their albums. You're likely to get a hundred recs for ddaeng, ugh and the cyphers, haha, so I wanted to offer some less popular songs I really think you'd enjoy. But yeah, those recommendations are also very good. Also the members of BTS has done a lot of solo albums and I think you'd really like J-Hopes and Suga's stuff (he uses Agust D as his artist name for his solo stuff), they're both rappers/producers and can sound very angry when they want to.
Specifically for Agust D is; Agust D (his first solo-single), Give it to me, Daechwita, and HUH!? feat J-hope
For J-Hope I'd say Arson, More and for his more funky stuff, NEURON from his latest album.

So fun fact when I started working with 4th graders 4 yrs ago the girls were obsessed with BTS to the point I couldn’t stand to hear about them! Then I became a Stay 😂 now I’m hearing this song and absolutely loving it!! 😂
BTS started as a hip hop group, but like SKZ they have covered almost every genre. They lean heavily into hip hop, r&b, edm and rap, but you’ll find elements of all other genres in their music.
It’s funny because many people first discovered them through their 2020/2021 songs- Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance which are by far their most pop songs. They were meant to be uplifting songs to help people through the pandemic, but are actually very far from their “typical” sound! If you delve deeper into BTS, I think you’ll find a ton of stuff you like. ☺️
BTS have quite the varied discography and their sound has evolved quite a bit since they started. I think they're at their best when they delve into darker sounds and themes, so my top album recommendation would be Love Yourself : Tear, which came out just a few months after Mic Drop.
They're currently on a group hiatus (both for personal and practical reasons : they felt burnt out, and they also had to enlist in the military ; as of today two of them have finished, and the other five will be done next june, and they promised to come back as a group soon after) but in the last couple of years, there's been solo projects from a member or another every few months - all very different from each other.

Edit 3 - Please please do RM’s Right People Wrong Place - especially since the behind the scenes movie is coming out in theaters in early December. Also J-Hope’s Jack in The Box. I think you’d really like the other BTS members’ solo projects, but those two especially. Although the more content of yours I watch the more I think Agust D’s D-Day and Jimin’s Face should be in there too. But at that point I might as well recommend V’s album and Jungkook’s 😅😳😂😂).
So for now, I’m sticking with recommending RM’s Right People Wrong Place, and J-Hope’s Jack In The Box as top contenders for what I think you’d like.

Not a huge fan of this version featuring designer, the one with just bts and Steve is better imo, especially the audio version. I feel like it loses quite a bit of the impact in this version since its missing a lot of the original music sections, including verses from the members and musical/dance breaks. (Btw the part at the end that you thought would continue to a drop actually does in the audio version). I'm so glad you enjoyed the song though and I hope you react to more bts in the future!

They are not "very Pop". There are Pop songs from them but fandom usually likes the other genres more:
Hiphop, Rap, R&B, Trap, Jazz, Latin Pop, Ballads, Trot,, Rock etc. (usually mixed to be fair)
Personally I love their lyrics as I think this is what makes them different.

The beginning had a lot of music of BTS with rock vibes - not surprising with a discography of over 300 songs (500 when you count the solo work and remixes).
I wouldn't call "Jack in the Box" for example a Pop album.

Their solo albums are different, we both know they each fall under completely different genres on their own, that's their individuality. But I don't want to argue semantics about the meaning of pop. The reason why I didn't recommend BTS is the same reason why I didn't recommend seventeen or txt etc. The radio friendly stuff isn't what someone from rock would generally like from the get go. I thought I'd give the man a chance to get into Kpop before introducing the OGs. He found it on his own, which is great because there's going to be more content from him for me to watch 🥰

I'm not very good with genre but suggesting a song or two in the direction the youtuber likes is always a possibility and gently introduce them.
For example a lot of males are unsure about them but often the Hiphop/Rap stuff works:
be it "Mic Drop" or "Hiphop Lover" or "Outro: Tear" - it is always an easy in.
As boracity's vid shows there are many that came in that initially had some concerns - doesn't matter of they explicitly voiced them or not.
But once you enjoy this stuff you can also listen once or twice a song that you are more hesitant about.
With the prejudice lowered because you enjoyed those other songs you can maybe find joy in those other songs, too, especially if you know the context and the lyrics.
Same way I had prejudice about Hiphop and Rap - but thanks to BTS I learned more about it and I learned to give those genres the respect they deserve.
Recently I realized how far that progressed when I was angry at the lecturer that I listened to because he pretty much choose a decade last century when music became too "commercial" - no, I do not know how he included Hiphop in that - so there was no good music after. I also enjoyed my elementary niece rapping along to a child song in my language.
We never stop learning as you know. 💜
