RM has had it. The lies hate campaigns and death threats. The government trying to use him like a diplomat and mouth piece for the establishment. Hes rebelling reminding people who he really is. The brakes are off as he says hes ' no monk'. ...... and what we get is an album that has all us little music nerds bouncing for joy. This album is going to be called seminal, a cult classic. This is the real deal. Real RM... Real Music. One minute the album has sounds that remind you of Beetles Psychedelia, turn a corner and its Frank Ocean, or Brit rap, there are no brakes here, nothings off limits. The whole album needs to be in order. Its a trip.

@@levithemassive lol did they scare you a bit? btw like 95% of what they wrote is actually fact. like im not saying (omg facts) not like literally theres proof of what they wrote. if you ever get bored enough or if you genuinely enjoy bts/members music and wanna get to know them and their story what op said is part of it. it sounds like conspiracy and like were these crazy stans but genuinely if you researched using correctly translated sources youd see its true.
lmk if you wanna find out or not or if youre simply interested in just the music aspect nothing else. (well you will be slightly confused on what/who bts/members is talking about in their lyrics since it is linked to said history of their group but you can still enjoy without all that too)
basically short (not so short) version bts are different from the rest of kpop. always been hip hop heavy always been heavily into politics, mental health, self love, expression etc and have always wrote their own lyrics. the few english songs you may know were done only to lift everyones spirits and moods during the pandemic before and after they went back to releasing their deep meaningful music theyve always done with was also always anti establishment anti government and its not like oh great we gotta hear rich guys try to relate to us, no bts was broke when they first started and didnt really reach slight financial stability until 2017 when they first started getting big here in the states. so theyve always made genuine relatable music and still now that theyve changed financially theyre still the same people and fighting for fair treatment for those who are still not wealthy. this also comes with being used as political pawns by the govt and trying to push back at that. which ties into what op said. i get you may not care which is fine but once you dig deep if you do care or are bored youll see its not this weird crazy stans with conspiracy theories.

Oh you went in to this BLIND blind. Haha the long story short, RM is a guy that started off a smart guy at school who fell in love with hip hop, became a rapper then ended up somehow leading the biggest kpop boy band in the world and felt massive responsibilities fall on his shoulders regarding music, race and even politics. He's now 30 and got to a point where he's kind of trying to shed all his baggage with this album, he's likely to return from military a bit lighter I say.

It’s always interesting to see an outsider get introduced to RM especially since this is a big experimental album and he’s known for his lyricism. With your way of listening you would probably enjoy his previous album much more called Indigo. It has many more stand alone songs. This is an album meant to be listened as a whole experience so I understand your POV. Good luck.
If you just want a song from RM I would say listen to Wildflower or even Lonely. Back in the day maybe Persona. But K-pop is a different experience. You need to read the lyrics and see the visuals. People will say Joke by RM if you want to experience his rapping skills. Good luck.

The quality of the other members’ albums is top-tier, which speaks volumes about this album. Somehow, it manages to feel both original and nostalgic at the same time. Btw Domodachi is a tri-lingual song. Domodachi means friend in Japanese and the chorus that repeats in that somber voice is also in Japanese “All my friends let’s dance here (dance right now)”. RM is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English.

Would like to point out that the japanese word for friend is actually 'tomodachi'. However, the word 'do(u)mo' is used to mean thanks. He's basically made a new word which could be read as 'thanks, friend', but it comes across more sarcastically due to the other lyrics.

@@udontknowme9405 you’re right, explaining the world play here is hard, I should’ve done a better job
      Domo means thank you
      Tomodachi means friend
Domodachi can be written in Japanese with an added “ to the first character which implies “fake friend” which makes sense with his verses on the song
In the chorus however when he is inviting his friends to dance and celebrate the word in Japanese used is tomodachi, so he’s only asking real one to be with him in his triumphs
Little Simz verse is also abt a real friendship
Lastly, tomodachi when written in Hangul (Korean alphabet) is pronounced Domodachi and it just means friend
Armys have been theorizing abt this since release day, and it’s hard to say exactly what his thought process was, be rest assured that there’s method to the madness hahaha.

@@udontknowme9405 idk if that makes the word “not Japanese”, like yes I know it’s not an existing word, but does that mean that 들꽃놀이 from wildflower isn’t Korean? I would say both are neologisms, one in Japanese, one is Korean, but yeah, ppl should explain the wordplay and not just say it’s an existing word. That was totally my bad. Although it can also be argued that RM didn’t write the title in Japanese characters like he did with wildflower, but Jimin also just straight up says “chingu! friend!” upon hear the title of the song in the mini moni video so wth do I know.

This is very jazz timing based. If you don’t enjoy rapid changes and dissonance, then you’re most likely not going to like experimental music like this. Domi and JD Beck were the musicians that were featured in the song that you said sounded like typical critically acclaimed albums. That’s their thing, they’re really popular in the musican-sphere because it’s more like you’re just in awe of their timing and key changes. Super cool to see more people giving music like this a chance!!

RM is the leader of BTS, a Poet, and an amazing rapper and songwriter.
This album is in the Alternative genre. Also, there are 4 or 5 music videos you could watch to these. The first one that came out was Come Back to Me, LOST, Groin, Domodachi, and NUTS (live video).

I think what is seriously interesting to in this album, is how the use of "unease" of the musical instrument, tones, off-beats etc. used, which really goes well with the lyrics and some of the themes (I believe) he's talking about. Like occasionally there's a "relief" of something familiar or on-beat etc., which makes you relax more. But when and why do you feel those? Also the sudden changes in "mood" so to speak. RM has a song called "Change pt 2" on his album where the song literally changes throughout to emphasize the lyrics. It gives me a similar feeling, that this is most likely very intentional - maybe reflecting his constantly changing experiences, thoughts and states of mind.
This album is so well done! Like, chef's kiss. But it's definitely challenging. But the more I unpack, the more respect I have for it. Love it!

Within BTS (the group) discography, there are easily 7 genres vastly different from each other. And their discography is massive. Then comes each member's solo music. Out of which the rap-line which is where RM is has a longer history of their solo works. RM has two mixtapes and two albums including this one. His first mixtape is straight raw aggressive HipHop. Then you see his evolution as a person and in his musical progression with indie sounds in his second mixtape. His 3rd endeavor (first album) shows the growing finesse and advancement in his experience with varying genres and artists (almost every song was a collab) and then his 4th. This album is like an ode to all his past works including his Runch Randa days (his name when he was an underground rapper before BTS was formed). The aggression from the past mixed with eclectic sounds, carefully intertwined with his mastery of somber slow tracks and an ode to his alternative music collab- this album underlines his advancement as a musician. RM's lyrics are known to be introspective and extremely well articulated with poetic metaphors and humanistic observations. A reason why he is often called this generation's poet. This album though is a tiny step away from his metaphors as he responds to his surrounding noises. It reminds me of his lines from his first mixtape about how when he disses he needs to tone his poetic nature down so they actually understand they are being dissed lol. Also anyone unaware of the legacy of the BTS boys and associate them with a pop mindset will be astounded by the sociopolitical history and commentary they have in their music. They are men who opened doors into the skeptical (of Asian) Western world, before breaking through the big 3 Kpop labels' massive influence and media power, post-success deal with South Korean politicians making use of their popularity, go to court to clear themselves from baseless rumors and file folks for defamation at a time when their company was close to being bankrupt and so on. To be the leader of such a group meant pressure and responsibility that is hard to comprehend!

There is so much to say abt this album and the current situation BTS and RM has been in for the last 4 years. I’m so happy they have the freedom to do whatever they want as artists and explore different genres, etc. I’m glad RM could release his emotions in this album. This album was made to be listened to in full and not as stand alone songs, so I understand your POV, whenever I find myself listening to one song of the album I end up just listening to the whole thing bc it always draws me in and I’ve seen fans say similar things. So don’t feel bad abt it. RM even mentioned wanting to do a full 30 min video for the entire album instead of stand alone MVs but he didn’t have enough time.
Just a couple of important information. BTS is not K-pop. K-pop is not even really a genre as much as it is an industry. The music in South Korea isn’t/can’t ALL be grouped together as “K-pop”, there are many indie, rock and ballad artists in SK that are not part of the K-pop industry. Sadly in America and western countries K-pop is used to pigeonhole all music that comes out of South Korea (the ones capable of at least bubbling under mainstream pop) into one category to prevent them from competing with western acts for the categories they deserve to be in. One example just last year that was very egregious was Suga of BTS who had the highest grossing arena concerts by rappers in the US (#1-4) but was excluded from Billboard’s list of the Top 10 Highest Grossing Rap Tours of 2023. Suga is a rapper, his show is filled with full on rap songs, but he is not acknowledged as a real rapper bc he is Korean and raps in Korean. He is the first rapper in US history to earn over $3 Million in a single arena concert. His entire world tour (US and Asia) was 26 shows totaling $57.1 Million. But his tour was grouped together with K-pop tours.
BTS it self is VERY different from typical K-pop. For starters all the members have always been very involved in their music. All member have contributed as writer, composer or producers in every album since 2013. BTS also explore countless different genres and subjects in their songs, and despite the huge success of their English mainstream pop singles “dynamite”, “butter” and “permission to dance”, mainstream pop is the genre they have explored the least. Their songs can go from hiphop, to r&b, to ballads, to edm, to reggaeton, you name it, they’ve done it bc as per RM’s influence on the group members, they all became students of music and love to challenge themselves”.
RM is the leader, one of the main songwriters and a rapper. Although that might seem odd coming out of this album as your first impression of him, like I said, they are not afraid to explore genres, this is the first time we are seeing this experimental indie/alternative rock side of RM in a solo project. He has had some collaborations that I recommend if you want similar sounds to this like “Sexy Nukim” and “Smoke Sprite”. If you want to see more of his raw rapping skills I recommend Joke which is a song written in stream of consciousness, and it’s made to be a joke, a dig at his haters who said he can’t rap fast, the song was made to prove a point that rapping fast with meaningless lyrics doesn’t make you a better rapper, but it server to show the extant of RM’s skills in terms of flow and delivery pretty well. Lyrically I recommend either his song Do You from his first mixtape or Intro: Persona which is a solo song from BTS’ album Map of The Soul: 7 which is based jungian psychology.
Suga is a rapper and the main producer among the members, he also produces for other artists.
J-Hope is a rapper and dance leader
    Jin is a vocalist
    V is a vocalist
    Jimin is a vocalist
Jk is a vocalist and used to rap in the early days of BTS
Each of the vocalists and rappers have unique talents and styles. I hope you do check out RM’s last album indigo and also give some BTS songs a chance. “ON, Black Swan, Fake Love”

This album is about RM feeling like he's always the wrong person even when he's in the right place. The album is just pure art and his feelings.
It's not an easy listening album and the songs are supposed to make you feel lost and out of place as well as anxious at times, they make you feel what he felt, which is why they switch up so abruptly and use such disconcerting sounds :)
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but this album is actually one of my favourite albums bts or any bts member has released.
All the members of bts are currently serving in the military, and this album wasn't supposed to happen but RM still wanted to get some things off his chest so he pushed his military service back by a few months to make this album and enlisted with the younger members.
Before this album RM released his album "Indigo" (a masterpiece) in which he talked about some stuff, but after releasing it he said he didn't feel any lighter. It was when another artist he worked with said that he had a contradictory and interesting personality when he started thinking about himself and his thoughts more and decided to say just fck it and release all the anger and anxiousness he felt onto this album.
RM talked about the album with Jimin of bts in a video "Mini & Moni Music" on their RUclips channel BangtanTV, if you're interested in listening to his thought about the album I recommend watching that.

    Jungkook
    Golden (Pop)
    Jin
    The Astronaut (Pop Rock)
    (Single,Not album)
This is basically all of their debut works.
In the case of BTS as a group, there is no genre to even point out specifically so any album you listen to will have various blends of hiphop, rnb, pop, edm, dance, ballads.
Have fun exploring. Its a musical rabbit hole for nerds basically. The discography is endless, you will need a year to get through the whole thing. 😂

Here is some extra info on RM for you...
Name Kim Namjoon Born in 1994
He is BTSs leader, main rapper, composer, songwriter, producer... he has over 220 song copyrights and is the youngest and most credited Idol and a full member of the Korea copyright association
He is known for his deep lyrics and moving speeches.
Predebut RM, known under the names Runch Randa, Largo, Stealo, and the Nexist in the underground hiphop community was already a prodigy in rap despite being 13years old (he started in the underground scene at 11 years old) impressing other rappers. RunchRanda which basically meant 'I am Runcha', he has said it was inspired by a Maple Story game character he had at the time.
He was known to be so good that even older underground rappers in their 20s and 30s didn't wanna battle against him. Also, because of his low-midtone voice, philosophical lyrics and flashy rap skills he gained quite the popularity among hiphop fans. (Jungkook joined the same agency as he had been so impressed the first time he saw RM perform...)
Throughout 2008-2010 , RM (Runch Randa or Randa ) was mentioned multiple times by other rappers in their songs mostly complimenting RM or wishing they had skills or fame as him. An example for that is when Zico* made a diss song to Philophon (35yo) who is also a rapper saying "you got your ass handed to you by a 13 yr old Runch" referencing that Philophon already lost to teen Namjoon.
RM joined BigHit in 2010 at 15 years old. His audition.was watched by the CEO BangShiHyuk and RM was offered a contract on the spot.... He was 18 when BTS debuted.

The nice thing about BTS is that they have something you will enjoy because they do so many different genres. V does more jazzy stuff, his album Layover is amazing, Hip Hop you can go to the album D Day from Agust D (my favourite), more pop stuff Jungkook’s Golden is really good.

BTS might be know for their pop music but they explore so many other genres, both as a group and solo artists. Unlike other k-pop groups, they're not afraid of going outside the box or grabbing a pen to write and produce their music. Anyways... do you like fast beats and rap? I'd recommend you to listen to j-hope's "Jack In The Box" he also mixed rap with a bit of rock in it. Would love if you could read his lyrics too. BTS rappers come from underground rap, debuted in 2013. They have collabs with Juice Wrld, Fall Out Boy, Erykah Badu, Wale, Steave Aoki... and many more.

Thank you for giving this a listen, and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience even if you couldn't completely vibe with a song.
This has been one of my favorite albums, and I'd say the tracklist is probably built to be listened together (it reminds me of one of RM's earlier album, mono, which is definitely structured to be best enjoyed by listening to the full album from start to finish).
I do recommend getting translations if you check out anymore of his (or most BTS) work (doolsetbangtan or muish are good translator sources).
And yes, fans of his grp absolute did not miss the nuts and groin titles when he revealed the tracklist before releasing the album.
I'd recommend his grp's (BTS) music too. They cover a vast range of music genres (I think they're near or over 200 grp songs?). Or I rec checking out the other solo albums by the rest of the members.

This is not what your typical KPOP sound in case you want to check out more, within the realm of korean music it's still firmly on the alternative side.
If you're interested in RM's music, maybe check out Indigo or Mono (his other two albums with Mono being my favorite). RM is one of my favorite musicians because you see such tremendous growth in all his projects, and it's even all good music but it changes and the themes evolve. It's genuinely been really cool to witness in real time.

We don't know the sexuality of any of the members, but I mean, I don't know how one would understand that line any other way so I'm with you on the bi king train 😭
Funny thing is that this album is critically acclaimed hahahahahah
I'm dying u also caught the "i know what you are" lol
So to explain it simply, k-pop is more like an industry, not a genre. Yes, bts does pop music, but it's like 20% of their discography (including the solo works), and in their solo works specially is where they differ from pop the most besides Jungkook and Jimin (vocalists). The rappers in special almost never do pop. This album is like a mix of alternative rap, jazz and some rock I'd say, it's experimental. If you'd like something more like a lot of songs together making a cohesive work and not an one body kind of work like this, you can try his album "Indigo", for RM, I mean, the songs there are less experimental. But personally, if you like pop you'll probably enjoy Jungkook's album "Golden" more, it's basically mainstream pop.

Oh wow this is very interesting. Just popped up in my recced page. Nice to meet you, it's been awhile I've seen someone reacto to BTS and even more without knowing the group. It's refreshing to see your review! When you said, bisexual king? MY EXACT REACTION LMAOOOOO!!! For me, this album reminded me to the time I fell in love with music when I was a teenager and discovered Indie and Alternative genres. First listen I liked it, then the translation came out and I was SHOCKED, I loved it even more! That's my favorite part of the experience of listening to non-my nativa language artists, first listen i can enjoy the sound and feelings of their voices (they accomplish the saying "music trascends language") and when fan translators share the meaning of the songs, oooof boyyyyy it hits my heart and i love comparing my assumptions with their intended words.
This is getting too long, sorry i get excited about it. I wanted to share a thought about this album, some fans theorized that korean lyrics can mean vulnerability, like he goes from english back to korean when he expresses his inner self and true feelings. I like that a lot because as a non native english speaker, english will never fully capture my feelings, there are words that simply doesn't exist there. And personally, i love that he stays true to his root because when BTS blew up in USA, there were a lot of pressure (by american public and media) for them to do music in english, they got the most ridiculous questions like "when will you release a full english album?" while the korean media said "BTS is losing their roots, they have americanized", and he as the leader was the only one fluent in english and beard all of that practically on his own, as representative of bts and often on prompt translator, he had a hard time! I love that he expreses his feelings about that on this album and even more that he once more changed his sound! Us, bts fans, have always wanted them to get them high enough for them to feel safe to release any kind of music they want, without creative limits, because we trust them as artists

It's very exciting to me as a BTS ARMY that RM is getting new listeners from this album. It is the most alternative work he has released. He is experimenting with the sounds that he has been most into lately, creating with the people who inspire him.
Funny that you called him bisexual king listening to Nuts, as there has been some argument about it in the fandom. Some of us suspect strongly that is true but none of the members of BTS have ever explicitly stated their sexuality. There have been many strong hints from some of them, but never a declaration.

  • @beccal.5369
    @beccal.5369 Месяц назад +4

Easiest to think in these terms. K-Pop is an industry . It covers most genres and includes soloists and groups and is a term used mostly in the west to indicate that the artist is from Korea and has music that is popular. In Korea they don't really use the term K-Pop. They call groups like BTS... Idols (or Idol groups).
BTS Members are all song writers, composers and producers... It is not common for Idol groups to write their own music or be so involved in their art. BTS has broken thru the barriers that come with being called "KPop Idols" and have become "Global Artists" instead. That said, they are extremely proud of their country of birth, so being referred to as KPop stars does not bother them.. The reason so many ARMY get upset is that it is usually used in a derogatory manner when people just dismiss BTS as some little KPop boyband. As you will find most (not all) of KPop and western boybands is being forced to sing innane lyrics to boppy tunes and no real substance. BTS bridges generational boundaries - for instance 5 generations of my family adore these 7 humble young men (from 90 yo grandma to my 2yo grandson)... I've been ARMY since 2016 (I'm 52) (Mamamoo is another "KPop" group that are incredible "Artists".... 4 woman powerhouse of vocals and visuals - check out their video AYA)

@@levithemassive18/100 is not bad considering it's an album with no target audience. He made that cause he's just pissed, it's not for the charts or general public like you.
Actually, he also used lot of cuss words specifically so that his songs would be banned in SK.

@@levithemassive Let me give you brief introduction what "Kpop" is and why BTS is not "Kpop".
Kpop is an industry created in the 1900's. It's mainly monopolized by top agencies called the Big 3 (SM, JYP, YG).
They manufacture Kpop groups like Blackpink, EXO, 2ne1, Twice, etc. All Big 3 groups are guaranteed to be popular because they are heavily promoted by the industry and k media.
And at that time, it was impossible for any groups not under the BiG 3, win any major awards. Cause the Big 3 all have the power and influence in the Kpop Industry.
      Sidenote:
Idol music tends to be very superficial, flashy and catchy cause they target young audiences.
Idol music main elements is visuals, (pretty faces & trendy outfits) catchy music, not so deep lyrics, and astounding choreography.
Kpop Industry specifically create Kpop idols with perfect image.
They all must be fit in strict beauty standard, if not they should do plastic surgery, then practice how to sing and dance.
They're also not allowed to curse, drink, smoke, date, and get a tattoo.
Also they have no control whatever music they release, cause it's all their company who would hand them their music and their only job is to perform it.
But BTS, the biggest Kpop in the world ironically isn't even part of the Big 3 but from a small near bankrupt agency that doesn't manufacture Kpop groups which also have no connection/power/money to promote BTS, so BTS is not supported by the media or the kpop industry.
BTS don't follow Kpop rules either, they drink, smoke, they curse, have tattoos, etc.
Most of them don't fit the beauty standards but don't bother to change their face either despite the black clash, and in the beginning the majority of them don't even know how to sing and dance either.
However, as you can tell, they help or write, compose, and produce their own music, so by all means BTS should be referred as an artist rather than idols.
Another fun fact, BTS is not Kpop but a hip-hop group to begin with. They rap and mostly tell their stories and speak out stuff that are taboo in idol music like school violence, suicide, government corruption, mental health, etc.
But as time goes on they branch off different music styles and genres, so they're all over the place. So they obviously have music that's similar to idol music which is very poppy and superficial which is of course very popular, but since the general public or non fans only heard of BTS popular songs, they immediately think BTS is Kpop.
And the media also worsen the matter by not researching about BTS, so as BTS got popular they got labeled as Kpop.
And BTS got trapped in that "Kpop" label and category. Which basically stunted their growth, cause if they do stuff that ain't "Kpop" they'll receive massive blackclash from Kpop fans.
Cause they expect BTS to be just Kpop cause they're now the biggest band that represents Kpop & South Korea.
Even though neither Kpop nor South Korea gov, help BTS succeed in any way.
Kpop specifically is more like BTS leeches attached to BTS name. Kpop is the one who wants to bring down BTS since from the beginning of their career , but since they failed, they now take credits for BTS success while still continuing to sabotage them.
Which is why there's lyrics in groin that says "Ass of the trunk!!" Repeatedly.
Cause it means "stop free riding from our success, you b*tches!*"
RM even said "I'm not a f*cking diplomat" which is mainly targeted to their government.
Cause it's their government who assigned BTS to become South Korea's Diplomat. As a result BTS had to keep up with their image.
So BTS, especially BTS leader is so done with it, so he released this album.

these are my recommendations based on your comments throughout the video!
*RM - **_Indigo_** (10 tracks)* ~ Hip hop, Contemporary R&B, Pop
*j-hope - **_Jack In The Box_** (10 tracks)* ~ Hip hop, R&B, 90s Hip Hop
    *Agust D - **_D-2_** (10 tracks)* ~ Hip hop, Alternative R&B, Trap
*BTS - **_MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA_** (7 tracks)* ~ multiple genres…
j-hope and Agust D (or SUGA) are the other two rappers in BTS, alongside RM. If you’re interested, 3/4 vocalists in the group have albums/EPs as well.
    *Jimin - **_FACE_** (6 tracks)* ~ Synth-Pop, Alternative R&B, Trap Soul
    *V - **_Layover_** (6 tracks)* ~ Contemporary R&B, Jazz, Pop
*Jung Kook - **_GOLDEN_** (10 tracks)* ~ Pop (Dance Pop, Retro Pop/Disco, Ballad, R&B)
Jin, the remaining member, doesn’t have an album out yet, but it’s likely that he’ll be releasing something later this year. I’d say all the members have pretty distinct sounds, but also like to explore and dabble in different genres (like they tend to do in most of BTS’ music)

First thank you for respecting the music even if you didn't like it all. Not everything is for everybody. We know that.
I am old, some of this music took me back to the 70s - Around the World in a Day. Also the 80s indie music scene - Lost. Heaven gives me Steely Dan vibes. Do you know Steely Dan???
I have enjoyed all of RMs music so far. Not unlike other artists who change and expand as they grow. I want artist's music to change. Enjoy your exploration. Also, ARMY can be overwhelming. We mostly mean well.

Please have a listen to more of his works: I am sure many have recommended Mono, Indigo and RM. I would really love if you listened to Bicycle, it is a single and a love letter for ppl who love riding their bike as he is one of them.

Heyy, nice video!! I really liked your editing style, it's kinda funny lol. I also liked hearing your thoughts and opinions about the album, I appreciate the honesty.
As others have said, this one was more of an experimental album, with songs to release repressed feelings of RM (he explains it better in the video he recorded with another BTS member, Jimin- Worth watching if you want to understand better what he was going for with it). But if you liked Heaven and Come Back to Me, I think "Indigo" is the go-to album for you, it was released in dec. 2022, and it has a more polished, clean, sound.
Another album that I think would suit your musical taste is Layover, released last year by another BTS member, V. It has 6 songs and a jazz-peaceful-chill vibe to it.
Either way, thank you for the video!! 😊💜
(The "bisexual king" and "I know what you are" parts got me lmaooo same)

I would really like it if you looked up the lyrics of the songs you listen to of rm or BTS.
BTS and RM are especially known for their lyrics. RM is poet turned rapper so he creates music through his lyrics.

Thank you for giving RM a listen. Even as a diehard fan it took me several listens to fully get the songs/lyrics. Why don't you give RM's bandmates V's Layover, JHope's Hope on the Street, Jung Kook's Golden or Jimin's Face albums a try. Each members' style is so different and all are amazing artists. Then you can listen to BTS as a whole. I'd suggest On Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan, Fire a listen. The official music videos are all visually pleasing with very high production values. There is a lot to uncover. I hope you will enjoy the journey.

I have 5 off the album in my favourite play list but am still also listening to the whole album. I bought the album but it's not arrived yet as it's on it's way from South Korea.

Now I need you to listen to their first album called Indigo, but for me that album dosn't have bad songs, I understand your rating of this album because it is a very experimental album with sounds.
