I don't see the point in ranking. In the k-pop pie, BTS has half in terms of production, fans, and money. All others are in the other half. BTS vocal line are are exceptional singers, with distinct voices, and the rap line are the best real rappers in kpop. Their lyrics are deep and they have the biggest and most diverse discography in kpop. They are phenomenal live. Everything they do in the majority of the songs/MVs is intentional to the details.

The scene at the back of Yoongi where Jimin and JK are in mid air is real they were on bungee ropes. All their dance moves are practiced for hours and hours to perfect them. There is a Mic drop dance practice video too. Those who don't know BTS always assume things about them because they can't believe they are so good. But little do they know they are about to fall down the BTS rabbit hole and they can't get enough. BTS have it all 3 rappers 4 Vocalists. Their live performances at award shows are outstanding. There's no other group like BTS.

When you were confused about the camera during the dancing by the "mirror". It wasn't actually a mirror but a window. Jungkook (the member dancing) was filmed again dancing from his back to make it look like a mirror. Their director's mind is in a next level. That's what you got to do when working with superb artists. I really appreciate your observation skills. I enjoyed watching your reactions. Can't wait for the next one. 😄 By the way, the explosion part is not a green screen. The black and white, bridge part was the only green screen in this music video. When you watch the behind the scene of this one, you can see that they set the cars on fire and the members had a hard time with their expression when dancing while the car at the back explodes. Of course they had percussions and the members' safety is top priority.
The dance version is longer. BTS will always leave you wanting more. In some of their videos you think it's ending but it doesn't. But you will never find anything bad from them. It's all good. So please keep watching them.

BTS is not only appreciated for their music, they are well known for their lyricism, artistry and choreography. Their performances are to be understood at many levels… for they could involved art history, science and other literature. They are king of live performance for many of their live performances are better than studio version. Personally, I prefer their most recent Mic Drop and RunBTS live performances at Busan than their studio in every aspect.

The video is an abridged version of the Steve Aoki remix for Mic Drop. On the album and in their dance practice there is a longer version which you might like better.
Interestingly enough, there's no final beat drop for the MV but there's an extended version in the actual song that you can find on Spotify where it goes on much longer with just the beat. They use that section to do the dance break in concerts. So if you're curious about that you can check it out on your own time. Or maybe if you want you can react to the dance practice where they do the dance break (there are multiple dance practices for Mic Drop). I do love Loveshot, that being said you’ve only scratched the surface of the different genres BTS does and I can’t wait until you see some of the others they do. Aside from pop and hip-hop, they also do trap (Black Swan), reggaeton (Blood Sweat & Tears), Latin-pop (Airplane pt. 2), EDM (DNA & Best of Me), R&B (Singularity), Ballad (The Truth Untold and House of Cards), Rap (Daechwita & Joke), Bluegrass (Am I Wrong), and there are so many more (they have well over 300 songs, so)… They also usually have very deep lyrics. Mic Drop wasn’t one of those. It was literally a response to haters that was inspired by President Obama doing a Mic Drop at the end of his last White House correspondence dinner. Other songs of theirs though are about mental health, social issues and there were even 3 albums dedicated to the theme of loving yourself. The creator of BigHit gives them creative freedom and these guys are the best underdog story. Their label was tiny and unfortunately they were getting a lot of hate from EXO fans (not EXO’s fault at all, in fact BTS and EXO are friends), but there were some pretty strong campaigns to try and take down BTS. That died way down though and I don’t think there’s much of a problem there anymore. Now about 1% of ARMY has an ongoing beef with the Blinks, but when the fandom is 45 million strong, 1% is a lot, so the problem never seems to go away. There was also hate towards BTS’ 3 rappers from underground rappers they used to know. In other words they had a lot of reasons for the responses to the haters. Anyway, if you’re at all interested in learning more about them the best documentary is called A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7. It’s fairly long but we all love it and will absolutely watch it with you! It also has a bunch of samples of their songs. This is the only place I’ve even posted about it because it’s annoying AF that EXO fans are turning what’s already a difficult thing with BTS into something about EXO. What’s even more sad is this is going on despite the fact that BTS and EXO are friends with each other. Jimin and Kai are best friends, so imagine what this shit does to them. To get more of an idea on how BTS work, there are behind the scenes vidoes for many of their MVs. You may over time find that you really can't compare them to other groups, although it is a fun concept. They cover so many different genres and have some much depth in their lyrics - yes, we saw you get emotional over Life Goes On (we all do, every time!) but there are sooooo many songs that hit hard. If you dive into their discography you will be blown away. And if you take the time to watch introduction videos you will discover how truly beautiful, humble, caring and sometimes chaotic characters they are. But little do they know they are about to fall down the BTS rabbit hole and they can't get enough. BTS have it all 3 rappers 4 Vocalists. Their live performances at award shows are outstanding. Trust me they always go that hard, thats just how they are, and I love how you said they can do every genre, but you said that only after hearing two songs, lol. I mean you are very correct, but they have so many more types of genre's than just those two, it is simply impressive, inspiring, and unique.

When you were confused about the camera during the dancing by the "mirror". It wasn't actually a mirror but a window. Jungkook (the member dancing) was filmed again dancing from his back to make it look like a mirror. Their director's mind is in a next level. By the way, the explosion part is not a green screen. The black and white, bridge part was the only green screen in this music video. When you watch the behind the scene of this one, you can see that they set the cars on fire and the members had a hard time with their expression when dancing while the car at the back explodes. Of course they had percussions and the members' safety is top priority.

The dance version is longer. BTS will always leave you wanting more. In some of their videos you think it's ending but it doesn't. But you will never find anything bad from them. It's all good. So please keep watching them.

BTS is not only appreciated for their music, they are well known for their lyricism, artistry and choreography. Their performances are to be understood at many levels… for they could involved art history, science and other literature. They are king of live performance for many of their live performances are better than studio version. Personally, I prefer their most recent Mic Drop and RunBTS live performances at Busan than their studio in every aspect.

maybe they didn't put a beat drop because they have already said what they have to say that it is way it ended like that, mic drop means ending a discussion after a a definitive point has been made or said. They had to prove themselves against the big music companies at the time. They struggled severely and practiced up to sixteen hours a day with no real time off for many years. They give everything they have to their fans. They are even more amazing live. The energy they give off is addictive. You have three of the best rappers in kpop. The most talented and dedicated vocal line in the industry. They may try to replicate BTS but they will never be successful cause their journey to the top is what makes them the kings that they are. When you’ve seen their live performances with the beat drop/dance break, this mv ending is even more unresolved 😅
Interestingly enough, there's no final beat drop for the MV but there's an extended version in the actual song that you can find on Spotify where it goes on much longer with just the beat. They use that section to do the dance break in concerts. So if you're curious about that you can check it out on your own time. Or maybe if you want you can react to the dance practice where they do the dance break (there are multiple dance practices for Mic Drop). Also if you're curious about the behind the scenes of this, they have a shooting sketch video showing what the set is like, the effects, the live fire and explosions, some of the blocking done, etc. You seemed facinated by the intricacies of the video so that would answer some of your questions in a way more interesting way than any of our comments could.

No hate to other groups, I listen to a lot of kpop stuff and am a fan of multiple groups, but BTS are top-tier and on another level entirely. They always go hard & bring the energy and give 200% to whatever they do and push themselves so hard, to the point of exhaustion at times.

I do love Loveshot, that being said you’ve only scratched the surface of the different genres BTS does and I can’t wait until you see some of the others they do. Aside from pop and hip-hop, they also do trap (Black Swan), reggaeton (Blood Sweat & Tears), Latin-pop (Airplane pt. 2), EDM (DNA & Best of Me), R&B (Singularity), Ballad (The Truth Untold and House of Cards), Rap (Daechwita & Joke), Bluegrass (Am I Wrong), and there are so many more (they have well over 300 songs, so)…
They also usually have very deep lyrics. Mic Drop wasn’t one of those. It was literally a response to haters that was inspired by President Obama doing a Mic Drop at the end of his last White House correspondence dinner. Other songs of theirs though are about mental health, social issues and there were even 3 albums dedicated to the theme of loving yourself. The creator of BigHit gives them creative freedom and these guys are the best underdog story. Their label was tiny and unfortunately they were getting a lot of hate from EXO fans (not EXO’s fault at all, in fact BTS and EXO are friends), but there were some pretty strong campaigns to try and take down BTS. That died way down though and I don’t think there’s much of a problem there anymore. Now about 1% of ARMY has an ongoing beef with the Blinks, but when the fandom is 45 million strong, 1% is a lot, so the problem never seems to go away. There was also hate towards BTS’ 3 rappers from underground rappers they used to know. In other words they had a lot of reasons for the responses to the haters. Anyway, if you’re at all interested in learning more about them the best documentary is called A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7. It’s fairly long but we all love it and will absolutely watch it with you! It also has a bunch of samples of their songs. Well, seeing the EXO fans are mad because BTS took a picture of them rubbing Jin’s shaved head before sending him off to the military like every other k-pop group before them, I guess that beef still exists too. 🙄

The fact is EXO never started that tradition. There are photos of just about every other k-pop boy band doing the exact same thing. This is the only place I’ve even posted about it because it’s annoying AF that EXO fans are turning what’s already a difficult thing with BTS into something about EXO. What’s even more sad is this is going on despite the fact that BTS and EXO are friends with each other. Jimin and Kai are best friends, so imagine what this shit does to them. I’m sure Kai loved hearing about his fans and their #breakwingsproject or when Jimin was getting death threats and they had to cancel concerts because of it. Talk about toxic!

Hi Shane. Glad to see you reacting to BTS and I'm actually happy that you started with Life Goes On. This one, when you think about, ended in the best way -with the mic drop, nothing more to say! To get more of an idea on how BTS work, there are behind the scenes vidoes for many of their MVs. You may over time find that you really can't compare them to other groups, although it is a fun concept. They cover so many different genres and have some much depth in their lyrics - yes, we saw you get emotional over Life Goes On (we all do, every time!) but there are sooooo many songs that hit hard. If you dive into their discography you will be blown away. And if you take the time to watch introduction videos you will discover how truly beautiful, humble, caring and sometimes chaotic characters they are.
