If you like your cultural consumption of TV & Movies to be simplistic, with little brain engagement on your part, just say that and go on with your good self. There's plenty of simple TV and movies content to go about and enjoy. Wanting to be cast close to one's family background, makes for more and new storytelling, since the invention of Cinema, the human experience on screen has been predominantly white and has become, frankly stale. Right now all eyes are on South Korea, a country that the average person in the West, knows little about culturally, yet People, worldwide, enjoy their TV and movie output. Her and Aaliyah sound like they had such a great relationship. They were so pretty together too. It's so sad how she experienced tough losses like that in her earlier years.

They just looked so good together. i never forgot that Vibe magazine spread which featured the three of them and a fourth girl who i could never remember.

Yeah there was a documentary on Netflix about the Joneses and Rashida was going on and on about how she basically would just “pass” for white and would deny/hide her blackness.
Neither did I. I didn't know that Kidada had a learning disability, either, although some people with learning disabilities do overcome them later on and go on to be successful in the fields that suit their talents.
Yes i read an article and Rashida said she went back and forth with her blackness but decided she didnt fit in so she basically accepts being a white girl while kidada clings to mostly blk people

It's so interesting to see the drastic difference from the 90/00 to the 2010s && how celebrities looked before the boom of extensive plastic surgery. Kidada was just a beautiful girl w/a great sense of fashion. In today's world she would have needed to have a nose job, fillers, Botox, BBL, Boob implants ... just to pull a modem day rapper of fame like Tupac & LL Cool J. That's a damn shame 😞 I'm sorry for this generation.

@@kaialovegerber9977 I don't think they hate on her because they are jealous. I think they hate on her because she's different and they just don't understand what Tupac saw in her. I had no idea she had learning disabilities, great that she found her calling so many kids never get that chance. She was beautiful they probably were jealous of her in high school.

Mr Quincy Jones is very talented and has done a LOT with his career that had earned him a great deal of respect. Tupac was (also) pissed off over things he didn't mention and would not talk down about that man like that for nothing. There is wayy more than what meets the eye here.

@@AFOS94 As far as what the Old Testament says about what not to eat (shell fish), God actually cleansed all of the animals, so we can eat the once forbidden animals. This is mentioned in the New Testament. Moreover, the Bible also addresses how we are free from the old law and abide under grace now. Finally, all of us are imperfect and have sinned/do sin/will sin. Our sinful nature is precisely the reason why Jesus (who is perfect) came to shed his blood by sacrificing his life and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day...so that we can ask God for forgiveness and have a chance to repent from our sins (even daily). We all need Jesus, everyday. We are only made new creatures through faith in Jesus Christ (not by our own image or effort). So believing in Jesus Christ and understanding that we are saved by grace through faith alone... is the essence of our faith while repenting from sin in the name of Jesus is our lifestyle not a religious practice. Claiming to be perfect is not what being Christian entails. Only when Jesus returns will we be made righteous, sinless, and live forever in peace with God. If you're interested in learning more, please read the Holy Bible kjv.
LL grew up Christian, a believer (which is not the same as being "spiritual" as kidada was). To that end, LL knew that Kidada was into witchcraft and idolatry. Although he was tempted and joined in for a second (he was imperfect), he quickly separated himself from her. LL knew that they were unequally yoked: light and dark do not have anything in common/cannot hangout (paraphrased) according to the Bible. Jesus Christ is the [only] way, the truth, and the life.

Global audiences don't seem confused, do they?
Wanting new and different faces, new and nuanced stories makes for a better movie industry. It has shown to be both profitable and enjoyed by the general public.

Her and Aaliyah sound like they had such a great relationship. They were so pretty together too. It's so sad how she experienced tough losses like that in her earlier years.
Kidada went through so much loss and trauma while young! She’s very resilient.
Her "spiritual practices" and Aaliyah's love of gore/horror whilst under her mentorship explains A LOT! Both Aaliyah and Pac were around this chick right before their deaths
She got LL into santeria and he says in his bio he was confronted by the devil to sell his soul and rejected with a loud Noooo!!
@@fredroespi My spirit was not feeling her "spiritual practices" at all. She's off, I can see it in her face. I pray she finds Jesus, that's the only "spiritual practice" that will save you from going where the devil will ultimately end up and his followers.

While she had an amazing life then most, I can’t imagine losing loved ones back to back the way she did. It’s also about time someone did a video on her. Thank you black femininity.
@Anne Day They we’re both in the trailer but only Rashida had a speaking part.
Its such a shame all C Milian does these days is model for fashion nova she is so talented.
Looks like Christine has made significant personal priorities for family in this chapter of life… her career slowing but in tact… been pretty up to point 2017, she married a super successful French singer, songwriter artist (Matt Pakora) and they have two baby boys, born in 2020 & 2021, and raising Violet, her & the Dreams 11 year old daughter..seem to have an amazing life with hands full.. living from across the waters (U.K.) to state side, but making it work… Best wishes !!! I just want to say how important your documentaries are. They bring so much light to those we don’t hear enough about.
I watch Gene Deal who is a Diddy’s former bodyguard. He has a few stories mahout Kidada and I became intrigued about her and 2pac 👀
This is so fascinating, I didn’t know about the different experiences she and Rashida had. It’s almost crazy how Rashida is on the screen, this perfect but “real” girl next door yet she grew up so fancy.
I love that Kidada was friends with Aaliyah! I thought she looked like Aaliyah a bit and had that same laid back, confident vibe.
Another amazing video essay , thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤟🏼
Diana Ross oldest daughter Rhonda had different experiences growing up being all black with her half white sisters. Rhonda did a interview yrs ago with Essence detailing how she had different experiences
Yeah there was a documentary on Netflix about the Joneses and Rashida was going on and on about how she basically would just “pass” for white and would deny/hide her blackness.
It's not shocking it still happening now ppl live this life every day but of course I know y u are shock
Neither did I. I didn't know that Kidada had a learning disability, either, although some people with learning disabilities do overcome them later on and go on to be successful in the fields that suit their talents.
