I always loved their untinted broad spectrum sunscreen. The original tinted sunscreen as well as the physical one were too greasy and shiny for me. This matte one is perfect and it’s become my new favorite.
I have super dry skin. My HG is the regular tinted 46 or their combo 45 non tinted sunscreen. I love the matte version better. I did not think it would work for my super dry skin, but it does. It seems to do better at blurring pores. It does not leave me feeling dry. I am pale and my only wish is that the color would be offered in shades fair, regular, deep. This works well for my dry skin. I do apply it over my skincare. I need anything I use to work with my skincare. I live in South Louisiana ( humid). I keep my AC on 76
I'm liking this sunscreen. I also have combination skin w/ oily t-zone in summer and live in a humid area. All the other DRMTLGY sunscreens I've tried make me look greasy, unfortunately. This one, on the other hand, isn't totally matte on me, but more of a natural finish. It's not often that I find a sunscreen that doesn't make me look too shiny, so when I run out, I'll probably repurchase. I enjoy your videos, especially your sunscreen reviews. On a side note, has anyone ever told you that you look like a young Lesley Anne Warren. Lovely!
Yes 1/4 tsp! 👍 I love to see it! But personally for me, I find that two fingers is great when the sunscreen is thick and three is better when it’s watery
Thank you for all your reviews. 🙂👌🏽 If the tone do not fit, can I add Iron powder myself, made for cosmetic, to the sunscreen, so the color fits better? ( I always need a little Yellow) Mineral sunscreen
Happy to help 🤗 I definitely would not do that. With sunscreen, adding other ingredients, especially something like iron oxides can completely change how the product works and with sunscreen, that could mess with the protection levels. Look for sunscreens with the banana shade instead. A few I know of are the Minori one and the LiveTinted HueGuard.
I have normal to dry skin and thought about trying this because it's less glowy than the original one. But I'm also skeptical because it might be too drying.
Hi Dana, this is probably one of my favorite sunscreens. Honestly, I don't like mineral sunscreens because I find them very drying. I was sceptical about this one since living in the Netherlands and having access to " more" advanced filters, I didn't want to bother. However, Drmtgly is getting more hype in the EU I bought this product initially to add some iron oxides. All I can say, I love the tint... It blends really nice on my skin tone... I don't mind the sheen....my skin type is more on the dry side and our climate is a little humid in the summer and dry in the winter. For skin care I just use my vitamin c serum and then i will follow with my CO Q10 serum. I will use my ISDIN sunscreen as the first layer....let it dry for about 10 minutes and then I will follow with the drmtgly one . I've also tried the combo of using their normal untinted one first and then the tinted one on top.... also great! In my experience... As always, enjoying your videos 😊
Awesome,i was waiting for review on this matte sunscreen and you explained all of it very well,i want to order it now but its been well over 100% degrees everyday here and was worried that once delivered to my house it would sit in my very hot 🔥 mail box all day and wasnt sure if that would degrade the sunscreen, would love to hear your thoughts on that?
While their marketing and business practices ARE a bit shady, I like that we’re able to essentially get EltaMD sunscreens for a fraction of the cost…
Oh 100%!! You hit the nail on the head
