I've been listening to Sadistik since the beginning. I look forward to every album. He's one of my favorite artists to listen to. Back in 2008 when I bought a copy of "The Balancing Act" from him on his website I waited about a month before sending him a message telling him that I still hadn't received the CD yet. I'm assuming that it got lost in the mail. He was real cool about it and sent me another CD immediately and even wrote a small note that said "Thanks for supporting me -Sadistik". Hell I could have been lying and he could have told me to buy another one but he didn't and I thought it was pretty awesome. Since then I've bought all of his albums on CD and recently starting buying them on vinyl. No matter where we goes with his creativity, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Keep making great music man!
So fucking incredible, man. Anyone saying they "prefer the old Sadistik" or can't get with this new shit gotta open that mind up. This dude's growth as an artist over the years is unlike anything you would normally see from a musician. Expose your brain to something different and appreciate it.
Guaranteed, Sadistik doesn't give a single fuck what you think his music should sound like.
i love his old stuff and his new stuff honestly but what attracted me to him and kristoff and them was always michael and i feel like he always lived on through there words but theyve overcame that tragic loss and im happy for them its just hard to not have that feeling that eyedea isnt echoing through there words anymore they have just came so far as an artist and im still stuck in 2010 eydea's songs got me through some hard time and nothing really resonates with me like his songs do so heres to hoping that someone can fill in (not replace) his niche

What I love most about Sadistik is his ability to keep me curious. I feel like I haven't fully figured out the premise or symbolism behind the song/video in its entirety, but when I listen/watch I take away a little more each time. It gives me a reason to keep coming back for more and seek to discover what I haven't.

Sadistik doesn't just find the standard in someone else, he sets the divine standard indirectly mocking us the listeners, who compete with each other on who the best artists are even though they're citing others because they don't do it themselves. Sadistik is "sacrificing" his listeners through mockery as well as this being a triple meaning with 2 plays on words. The second meaning (sun as in his energy/human form) is sacrificing himself through hardships so he can use that as material to feed his abilities as an artist as evidenced in his other lines. That's the only way he can continue to use his best skills as an artist. The third meaning is indirectly calling himself god while his sun/son being his listeners as well as himself as a listener because it's a reference to Jesus. Jesus sacrificed himself even though he was the son of God and God at the same time. All while using the word play to consider the listeners as the energy/money/support we provide him.

This came out so dope. I haven't been able to stop listening to this album.
You have to understand two things. One, Sadistik is on a new label, therefore he has new expectations. Two, this still has the dark, ambient sound that is trademark Sadistik. Sure, he does sound more marketable, but this isn't a bad thing. As an artist he has to appease many tastes, and with that in mind, you have to understand you aren't a sole target audience. You can say he sold out if you wish, but what's an artist if he has nothing to sell.
Artist have to flex all of themselves and appease all emotions even those unknown by themselves to evolve.......evolution of revolution..... #shadowcraft

I've been a fan forever basically all I listen 2 and I met him when he was doing a show at a little dive bar in my city New Bedford Massachusetts and bought a couple of his albums for $5 a piece

The tracks of this new album trigger these psychidelic almost nightmarish visions in my head. A flood of deep, dark and iridescent images... no music video can ever do them justice. I guess that's why I tend to not enjoy the most of my dudes videos... but the music is some of the best out right now
Keep evolving, Cody, bringing new themes and art to fit them and overdoing yourself. I knew this album would blow my mind and it did.
The clip fits the song well too IMO, showing how being blindly guided by a way of thinking not your own (in the case of the video, religion) can be your destruction in the end. Be yourself!

Hart I don’t think it is comersaliy friendly but i recon its a lot less confrontational then most of his songs I love that his style is continually evolving and this song is just as deep in my opinion but everyone is a critic and you’ve got people who all have different tastes, at the end of the day his tracks are great and the only person who needs to be happy with the music is the artist making it

Man I wana know peoples opinion too I honestly don't feel I've spent enough time analyzing it maybe seen and heard it(3 or 4 times). I would say That based on how Sadistik has spoken on insta and themes of his music, that the vid means Following religion isnt what it's cracked up to be(nun that reveals herself as something else) and that whatever path he takes and is leading will lead to his death regardless(him carrying the coffin he will later be placed in) The burning maybe to insinuate the acceptance that he will meet flames and go to hell "if there is a hell"

As a huge fan, I just can't get into this commercial-friendly style with the mundane (given the standard set by precedent), repetitive pre-hooks and hooks. I'd like to see more of that trademark esotericism from Ultraviolet and before. Always good to see more work from Sadistik regardless.
If you're a fan, turn a little on the right, turn a little on the left, blow what's stuck in your lungs. You might find peace in what Sadistik is doing now. Embrace it, cherish it, it's amazing
This album had less lyrics than previous albums but I think they say more than ever before. It's all encrypted and beautifully written. This is a single, other songs on the album are more of a Sadistik trademark songs, long verses, short hooks.
To be honest TBA, FFMF and Ultraviolet are such amazing albums, especially FFMF which is one of the best produced rap albums I have ever heard. It was always going to be hard for Altars to meet expectation.
To be honest I like a few songs on Altars, but most are quite skippable for me. The lyrics and delivery aren't quite as good, the instrumentals aren't quite as good and the production isn't quite as good.
But I could never fault Sadistik anyone who could make an album like Flowers For My Father and songs like Searching For Some Beautiful and The Rabbithole is both a musical and a lyrical genius in my eyes.
have you even read the lyrics? The lyrics to Vodoo Dali alone are another level
+Jaw Ji what you talking about, Altars has the best quality production in his discography. You may not like the vibe of it, but it's a fact. Play Voodoo Dali od great headphones. This album has engineering quality of mainstream, rich artists. The work they put in it must have been ridiculous.
