The A&A kit is by far the best mod I ever did to any car I’ve ever owned. I watched a lot of videos on it before I purchased but I found yours to be most credible. You pushed me over the edge and I cant thank you enough. However, I DO have one regret…I just wish I did it sooner!!!😂😂😂
I'm 58 and a Chevy guy, I've never had a Corvette so last week I bought a an 03 ZO6 from the original owner with 59,000 miles it's an awesome car as you know I'm here to learn so I don't trip over myself. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for another excellent video. I recently purchased a 2002 Corvette from the original owner with 20k miles. Black on black targa model. Then I purchased a 1996 Corvette with 26k miles from the second owner who had it for 19 years. Love both since I use them for public highway cruising. Your C5 videos are the best on YT.
I have MT Street Comps on my 03Z. Haven’t taken serious corners with them yet, but pretty solid street tire from what I’ve put them through thus far. Just need a brace for some of the hop and I’m golden. Eventually I will go with some pilot sports.
As for the reliability of the A&A Vortech package, my C5 supercharger package (V3 S-trim) has been around for over 12 years, about 50,000 miles on the supercharger, and works perfectly. Changed the oil every driving season and quite often. engine 8 years ago Lingenfelter built LS2 stroke with 4 inch stroke and forged pistons. boost pressure 0.9 Bar. rear tire 750hp. manual standard box. works perfectly. the differential is a support that I bought based on the tip in your video.
About your Exhaust Mod @ 6:40 in the video where you do the exhaust by pass mod. Adding a piece of pipe between the 2 pipes in the muffler area. Although I'd prefer to go with removing the H pipe, replacing with an X pipe, would you still recommend doing this on the 2003 Z06 with the titanium exhaust? Buying a new aftermarket cat back is not in my budget. I like how my car sounds now but a bit louder would bring a bigger smile. I will sometimes drive without the radio on just to hear the car as I drive. Thank.
To my ears the C5 Z exhaust is a little louder than the stock C5. That said, the titanium does add complexity and cost. First thing to find out is if you have someone in your area that has the proper tig setup to weld titanium and how much it would cost. Depending on where you live - this could be a challenge...
I enjoyed listening to your list. I would be interested in those exhaust mods. I am going to assume I could ask any muffler shop to perform these mods?
anything to say about rims? I've been looking at getting a certain kind, but apparently corvette rims have an uncommon lug nut pattern, and are sometimes hard to find. especially with the standard staggered setup.
Sorry, Not really, I kept the five stars polished aluminum for three reasons. One I like them. Two, they're easy to clean with not having 5,000 service areas and different crevices. Three the finish is pretty durable.
Minimal difference - on the freeway. Lots more fuel when in boost (wot, or close to it) as HP takes fuel to make. WAY more fuel efficient than heads cam imo.
I've done a few tuning videos, check them out of my channel. Otherwise goat rope garage has quite a bit of stuff or you could pop for a Tuning School or Evan's performance academy package.
I am turning my base 00 C5 into a Z06. Currently I have painted callipers red, fog light delete with Z06 mesh grille install, Z06 side rear brake cooling ducts installed, and LS6 intake/headers with stage 3 cam and long tubes. The only thing missing is the T56 Manuel :( but I do have a 3:15 Differential. Also removed the F54 electronic suspension rubbish and components, installed coil overs and going to put Z06 sway bars
What year do you have now? Auto- Manual? Mods? You could build quieter civilized daily and a nasty louder weekend only less compromises car? Or another gen corvette to mix it up more?
@Toys4Life Don't have one now. I had a 2001 C5 black. Looking to buy another. Currently have a Mercedes AMG but looking to sell it and get another vette. Looking for at the C6 or C7 though. I hate the pop up headlights. I absolutely despise them. But if i found a C5 cheap enough....

I'm in the same boat sir (:-). Wish I would have done it a few years earlier!

Nice - enjoy the heck out of it this summer!!

I appreciate that!!
I really like the Conti Extremes. They have a ton of lateral grip that I trust on cloverleaf on and off ramps.
Same tires on my 03Z, really grip!

That's awsome! I got a ecs kit 650whp 02 z06 , I think 750whp is perfect!
@@daren9721 Best standing mile (2015) 203mph.
@@Mykytys wow awsome 👌
Wow! what a list, really good stuff my friend, nothing like a C5!!!!!!!

Probably not just ANY. Find one where the guy has been doing it a long time and is good and efficient.
Last C5 I drove had a Z06 titanium exhaust sounded good to me

Thanks for making this simple. Great car!
My pleasure!
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice vid on your opinion on the mods. I am curious how your fuel economy is after the supercharger?

@@Toys4Life Those HPs really love that Dino Juice! would you say you still get high 20's low 30's on the Highway mpg?
Maybe one half of a mile per gallon less than stock. So yes definitely probably upper 20s.
Have you ever considered any tuning for dummies videos? I recently purchased an HP tuners device and have found it to be a little intimidating.
I've done a few tuning videos, check them out of my channel. Otherwise goat rope garage has quite a bit of stuff or you could pop for a Tuning School or Evan's performance academy package.

@@Toys4Life It will be a toy. I want something i can make rowdy. I would rather build on an LS platform instead of the AMG.
Nice
