Thank you Paige, that was an excellent video. I have got the Simply applique Programm, But have hardly used it with my ScanNcut.I have had the programm for a couple of years now.Now that you showed how it was done I am going to get into it.Wish you were closer. I live in Brisbane Australia. Thank you again.
I found your video by chance and am so glad I did. I've had my Scan n Cut for quite sometime and not had the confidence to use it. You have given me the courage to go ahead and try it because you are a beginner with it as well. I'm 77 years young and always willing to learn news things when they involve craft. Thank you so much for this video because you have really helped me to get started.
@@paigeanneolson461 Hi Paige I haven't tried Simply Applique with my Scan n Cut as yet. I do have the software but haven't combined the two yet. Have a wonderful day.
Just happened upon your video. Fantastic. You are not just hitting buttons everywhere and not explaining what you are doing. Every video I have watch they are tapping buttons everywhere and not explaining actually why or what they are doing. When you are first learning, you need someone to slow it down a bit. I finally got this. Thank you so much. You have really helped me.
One suggestion is to ALWAYS scan before you move and cut, then you are 100% sure you have it in the right place. That is one of the super powers of the Brother Scan & Cut over other electric cutters
Hello! I am so glad I found your channel today. I just bought a Scan N Cut for cutting fabric and this video was perfect to see how to do things. Thank you! I will be watching. Thanks Teresa
My sister and bought a scan n cut a few years back and have started using it for appliqué using Simply Appliqué….it’s a game changer for sure! Looking forward to more of your videos’
I've had my scan n cut for a couple years which I use once in a while for card making. I also quilt so I'm very excited to have found your channel today. I'm very interested in this project.
Thanks for the video. An option to consider when you need to block out background fabric is to fuse some SF101 on your applique fabric before adhering the HNBL. Happy Sewing!
Thank you for this video. I bought a scan and cut last year. Used it once, put it back in the box and on the shelf. You take the time to really show how to do things
I loved your straight forward approach and I have Simply Applique which I have never used and a Scan n Cut I have barely used, so may try a quilt block now. I did want to ask, however, if you can adjust the size of the blanket stitch (wider/narrower, etc.) with SA software. Thanks and have a great day.
Hi Jeanfeeley!! I don’t know if you can BUT I would try the menu on the right - I THINK there is an option to increase the stitch length. There is also a help menu at the top of the screen - you may want to look at that. Thanks for watching my video!!
I like the idea of the scan and cut machine cutting the block. I am puzzled why an additional program needs to be used to stitch down the bell. I would think there is already a program that comes with embroidery machines. Why can’t that machines program be used to stitch down the appliqué?
One other thing. I bought my Simply Applique in 2016. Are there updates that you may know of or is it don't fix what isn't broke? Just thought you might know. Thanks.
Hi Kathy!! I’m so glad the video was helpful for you!!! I bought my SA in 2022; I am unsure if there have been any updates. If you go to the help menu (top right) there MIGHT be a phone number/website and you can try to contact them. ☺️

I have scan and cut and simply appliqué but have been intimidated to try! I think I can now👍
Me too!
Very nice! I don’t think I can use the scan n cut. Lots to remember.
Thank you Paige Anne, I have been wondering how to do this process. Great instructions!
Thank you for this video. I love that you explain the process slowly and detailed. You also have a very pleasant voice. I've subscribed!

Thank you! I am still shopping for a scan and cut. Which one do you have? Love the way you take it step be step and explain.
Hi Ann! I have the Scan n Cut SDX225F….I love it! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Put SF 101 on back of thin fabric then put the heat n bond lite on the fabric

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Can I use simply appliqué to stitch a Dresden plate down it the petals overlap? Can I isolate each petal? Thanks,
Yes and yes! You can isolate each petal and appliqué each petal one at a time being careful to know which petal goes underneath!
