Beautiful lady, I just found the blog you posted on 07/18/2020 "What is the difference between Embrilliance and Simply Applique. You did a great job explaining it, it answered all my questions. Thank you very much.
Enjoyed the video. I just purchased the S n C 330DX n need to watch as many video to help me. Also, I’m still learning BES4. Thanks for the video. I hope you do Quilt Diva in 2022.
I need to go find your SNC videos & watch them. I bought the SDX225 used from someone who wasn’t using it anymore. I got all her tools, mats, vinyl and transfer tape for less than was it’s on sale for at all brands. 😃 I used it to cut my appliqué pieces for my OESD Turkey, but I still had to cut some excess fabric away after it was stitched down. It would be so wonderful if I didn’t have to do that. I also used it to try & cut appliqué pieces for my Frosty the Starman I’m currently working on. But some of the fabric is fraying when I peel it off the mat. I see you used a low tack mat vs the fabric mat with the thin fabric blade I’ll give that a try. Thank you again for another wonderful video. When Frosty is done I’ll be sure to post him in the FB group.
Wow! What a deal on a SNC! I love finds like that. I'm with you...trimming after a tackdown stitch just isn't fun so the SNC does all the work and it's wonderful. Fraying can be alleviated somewhat by starching the fabric first and then really adhering the HNB into the fibers of the fabric...it kinds of glues them together prior to cutting. I leave the iron on the back of the fabric for 8-10 seconds before I peel off the paper.
Right now I’m working on just pieced quilts and a Kimberbell project, but am intrigued by the Simply Appliqué techniques. I do have BES4, but have not yet loaded it on my new laptop. Think I’ll have to do that☺ thanks fir another great video.
Becky I noticed your ironing pad in the video. Have you seen the Press in the Hoop pads from Embroidery Garden? The are really great. Love the new sew along.
Love the owl he is so cute. Your SNC info is good I need to watch more you them I have the CM350 and want to cut fabric with it. Thanks so much for all your tutorials it helps a lot. It looks so easy all the things you do and I also like the way you leave some of your mistakes in the tutorials it helps us know everything just doesn't go perfect.
Hi, What do you put on the back of your fabric? I have the paper they first told you to use on your mat but not sure what to use instead of that. Seems like you have an easier way. Like your orange rulers. So many projects so little time. Thanks for all your info it is so helpful.@@PowerToolsWithThread
I finally got embrilliance (sp) now have to learn how to use. Will be digging through your videos. Love your info. Miss hearing you say that’s my blog but you must have your reasons! Sending hugs for the Christmas seasons and big thanks for all you do!
Thanks for your videos. Do you know if you are able to add additional fonts into Simply Applique? Or is it limited only to what came with the software? Thanks.
Hello Becky, and power tool followers, love your videos, getting braver with my machines. Pr1055x,xp3,se625, and sdx330d Was wondering about a good software, like the easiest, ever, that will be best with my power tools, to start with. Also looking into a longarm, suggestions, like brand etc?
I always recommend Embrilliance Essentials to begin with because it's so user friendly and not very expensive to get started and begin to learn. bit.ly/3xPLzoQ As for a longarm, best bang for the buck is the Grace Qnique 21 X Elite. Fabulous customer service too. (I'm a Grace Ambassador so I'm partial) :-)
I am slowly learning my Scan n Cut by watching your videos. I have the SDX85. It seems to do everything it needs to. It has wifi and I can transfer back and forth no problem. It just has very few built in designs compared to the others. What I need to know is do you have to have the scanning mat to scan things into the machine or can you get away with the cutting mats?
You can scan paper patterns using the low Tech mat which is turquoise colored. But I prefer the scanning mat because it keeps all of the Fur dust and fuzz off of the mat.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Thanks! My grandkids and I are going to create some Christmas cards using the scan feature this year! They will draw some Christmas things and we will scan them in and cut them out and then glue them on card stock! I think it'll be fun!
Great question! Embrilliance does not allow you to import FCM files so you have to use Simply Applique and then save to an embroidery format that Embrilliance will allow - PES in my case. Simply Applique won't allow you to remove (or add) certain stitches so if I wanted to do a raw edge applique (get rid of the final satin or blanket stitch), then I import the saved file into Embrilliance and delete it there vs. just skipping over it at the machine. I use these two programs as compliments to each other since they both do different things that the other will not.
Hello, Late to this video. Can anyone tell me if the Brother ScanNCut DXSDX85 will work with the Simply Applique Software or do I need a higher number ScanNCut?
It should. All SNC machines create the .fcm file including the SDX85. Then you'll import that fcm file into Simply Applique and you'll be off and running!
Hi! I want to buy the seam ripper/stiletto that Keith makes but, unfortunately, saw all the colors are sold out, ugh! Is there a date when some will be available? Thanks, guys!
Connie, it's only thread and fabric. Get some ugly fabric or otherwise unused scraps and begin from the beginning. If you mess it up, IT'S FINE! No lives were lost and no property was damaged (except for unused ugly fabric.) :) Your machine is BEGGING you to be used. Please try and try again. :)

I think I was as excited about your success as you were. It’s very cool how you made technology work for you!

Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the lesson ! Such a Good dog!!
Love how you used the machines & software together. I’m still learning the ScanNCut, Disney 330, and this was very helpful!
Great video. I seriously want a new Scan n Cut and Simply Applique. You make it look so easy. Thank you for the video tonight.
You are so welcome!
Great video, thank you. I'm asking for simply applique for Christmas, fingers crossed.

I have the CM650 at our coastal house. It's almost identical but you just have to do a depth cut test first and you'll be fine. :) Thank you!

Hi 👋
Becky has a lot of great videos on Embrillance and everything else!
Great job. It is so nice to follow along with you using this new technology. You make it look so easy! Love it
I really really need to learn to do this, thank you for sharing your knowledge, I check out your other videos
Thanks for your videos. Do you know if you are able to add additional fonts into Simply Applique? Or is it limited only to what came with the software? Thanks.

Becky would these techniques be possible on your Quatro Innvo Brother sewing machine or is it too old?
Sorry this video is Use Simply Applique (BES4) and the Brother ScanNCut in Quilt Blocks!

What is the same of the quilt?😊😊😊😊
Which company sells the pattern?😊😊😊😊
Becky, the cricket mini iron link wasn’t valid. Could u check it?
Awesome video!! Is it possible to import FCX files from Canvas to Embrilliance?

Do you know if the Simply Appliqué will work with Cricut?
No, it will not. The method I used uses an .fcm file and Cricut doesn't recognize that.
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you, I watch your videos all the time, I’ve learned a lot from you.
That is awesome!
Could you tell me the exact scan and cut you have please
SDX225F is the one to get! www.allbrands.com/products/98318-brother-scanncut-sdx225f-12x24in-scanner-cutter-2
Thank you! Your videos are awesome! I’m a visual learner and you have helped me leaps and bounds!!

Oh yes, have to rub the belly Mama!
Your video was great Becky. I’m seriously considering purchasing Simply Appliqué.
This stuff scares me.
