I went to the smaller phone for the intent of less screen time. I find myself not reaching for my phone every time I'm bored. I love it! 10/10
This is my main reason for looking at the 12 mini (or waiting for the 13 mini) - Phones are the most distracting device. I only use my laptops, macbook or iPad when I genuinely have something I need to do, going for a smaller phone feels like a legit way to reduce screen time
Have you tried selling your smartphone and NOT getting a new one?

I came from an iphone 8, such an amazing phone, love it. The battery life is good enough for me, and the form factor wins them all.
The form factor is my absolute favorite of all time!

@@di75100 The iPhone 8 has a 1821 mAh battery while the iPhone 12 mini has a 2227 mAh battery. So the battery capacity is not the same, it is in fact increased by 406 mAh (which is roughly +22%) compared to the iPhone 8.
Just switch from iPhone 7 to 12mini last week & it's amazing.

For the battery, I got a full day out of mine yesterday even though I went golfing and use the app on my phone to track my round. This means I was using the GPS for 3 and 1/2 hours. Then I used it to answer emails and texts throughout the day. I ended with 5 hours of on screen time and still had 20% or more battery left at the end of the day. I was in 5G, 4G, as well as NO SERVICE (for at least 30 minutes) areas during the day. No way i'm complaining about the battery life. I'm actually shocked it lasted that long.
In post 2022 we Need pocket/small phones. These 6.5-6.8 inchers are so heavy and hard to use with pants pulling down and just pointlessly big. Even my S10's 6.1 was not good. I now have a 5.8 inch s10e and love it. But... Gonna have to switch to ios for the God tier shape, size and weight of the 12/13mini. Friend has it and it's Supreme. Brother has 12 and I'd take the mini any day of the week over the 12

Just got this. Definitely the best phone I’ve ever had
I went from an iPhone 8 Plus to an iPhone 12 Mini and I LOVE it. The form factor is just amazing. I mainly use my phone for messaging, browsing Twitter/IG, and listening to Spotify and for these things, it’s perfect.
Switched from a Moto G in 2015 to an iPhone SE (1st gen), still rockin’ it now.
Nice review. It has been just 4 yrs since iPhone X (released Sept 2017) with 5.8-in display. This was the first ‘big’ display phone and took at least 1 more year for people to ‘adapt’ this size screens. I cannot believe a 5.4in (iPhone 12 mini) is considered a size that people needs to adapt back and consider display size a drawback.
Usually use my phones for a few years so have gone from 3GS to 5 to 7.
Was stuck at 7 as it was slightly too big for me and subsequent phones were definitely too big for me.
The 12 mini’s size is a life saver 🙌
Thank you for this video! I just got the iphone 12 mini and noticed the change in texting right away! My hands were cramping as well! This is the first day of use so you've motivated me to give it a few days to adjust and allow muscle memory. I also ordered a case for it so that should help too.

Jumped from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 12 mini and it’s the perfect size! I also got a military case which make it look a bit bigger and helps with drop protection
I’ve got the 12 mini last Sunday and I can do 2 days with this small battery now that I’m working from home where I can use my iPad and my Mac to go online

@@montasersweiti5919 I've never used the 11. But I would venture to say yes absolutely. The new processor and internals alone are enough to make it better. Combined with a new design (which some people may not prefer) and a smaller size, it's a completely different phone. For me, the 11 wasn't exciting enough to make a switch, but the 12 makes it way more compelling.
Same, it’s so similar to my previous favorite, the iPhone 5s. I’ve been hoping for an iPhone 5 layout with edge to edge display since the iPhone X was released. In a world of tablet sized phones I love that Apple made a phone for people who don’t want 6” displays. I just hope due to disappointing sales and Apple canceling production of the 12 mini that Apple doesn’t move away from making a smaller screen model in the future.

@@premraj_46 I don't play games or watch anything on my phone, so it's not an issue for me. But I could see it being annoying if you did play games or watch a lot of content, especially if you have large hands/fingers.

This phone is perfect with its snappiness, size and function. It can be your main driver or your 2nd phone. Wish to have a budget to have this phone for shooting travel clips.

I came from android to iPhone 7 and upgraded to 12 mini. I Love it’s size and square body. Holds in the hands nice and the cases fit better IMO

@@nolan_villeneuve coming from iPhone 7 it was a familiar size. I have had larger phones coming from an avid NOTE follower. I also am working to be less ON any phone so a larger screen is less important to me. I also like it to fit in my pocket nice and not weigh me down. Given the other items that are part of my EDC

İ accidently ordered the mini instead of 12 but now im so lucky that i did it. İdk how to say it but the mini just feels so right and feels like an actual phone. Anything bigger than this feels like a tablet. And the battery is really awesome im really impressed how they would do such a good job with the battery in a small phone like this.

I have used my huawei p7 for 5 years. Dont install anything malicious on it, clean app caches, turn off auto update in your app store and keep the battery between 30 and 80.
The ram definitely won't be a problem for an iphone, a device notorious for its lower ram capacity, but higher performance because of the deep integration of apple manufactured parta

going from an iphone 6s with 16 GB and a broken screen, to getting a 12 mini with 256 GB was the perfect upgrade and an almost seamless transition (had a bit of trouble getting used to face id and no home button, but it’s all good now haha).

Came from an iPhone 7 and got a 12 mini. It’s only been three days but I’m already enjoying it. I just wish there was a Space Grey variant.
I had an iPhone 8, went to galaxy S10, then iPhone 11 pro max. And I just got the mini yesterday. It's the first time I've bought a phone without seeing it in person, but I am not disappointed at all. I am loving the mini 😍 it's easy to hold, it's light, I have no issue with battery life, but it's not like I'm heavily using it.

We bought 2 of these last night and got 2day FedEx Express delivery free....so it they will be here tomorrow. Opted for the Blue one for My Uncle and I selected the light mint green one...so excited to get them. We have been using Android smart phones since smart phones came out...and even though they were basically free for staying with the service providers....these IPhone 12 mini's will be our first step into the Iphone family. We are super excited and the Mini price makes it work out well. Thank YOu as always for an AWESOME review and information we did not have!!!!

Came from Android - used a refurbished xs for a bit but was not impressed. This one the 12 mini is just the best. Feels great in your hands and super fast. Excellent camera and even the screen didn’t feel as small as it actually is ! It’s brilliant just buy it.

I was using a 7 and I got a 12 mini honestly the 12 feels a little smaller but the screen is bigger and feels wayyyyy more smooth and also doesn’t get hot like my 7 did lmao

@@markkonigman7369 i have it, and battery it’s good. Around 6h with screen on (sometimes 7 or even 8, depends of what you use). Lasts all day long, I use it a lot and I don’t need to charge it more than once everyday.

What about battery performance?
If you're coming from an Android, iPhone has the swipe to type feature on the keyboards. Typing (swiping) messages on the iPhone 12 Mini is a breeze with one hand. It impressed my friends when I was using one hand to message people back the other day. Some didn't even know you can do that on their iPhone's 😳

I'm so happy there is still a small iPhone option. I'm still using my 5 SE. Works great and love the size but I know sooner or later I won't be able to update the software. Thanks for the video. I had no idea this phone existed.
This and many others decided me on the Mini. Had it 2 days and already got used to it. My old 6 was very slow. The size is great, the screen excellent and the facial recognition seamless even in low light. The battery life is certainly no worse than the 6 and does what I need. What I would say is that the camera is, on the face of it, not a massive improvement but that’s with no real testing yet. One strange and annoying thing is the loss of battery percentage display. Why? It was a conscious decision for sure. All phones are compromise of needs and the Mini suits mine.
I leave this under every video I watched, it helps the algorithm.

I was sceptical about switching from android to iOS but trust me if you wish to make that switch, iPhone 12 mini is the best option available! The experience has been seamless. The price is reasonable given the features it has to offer! Love the size and looks great too!

It wasn't hard to adapt to be honest.. got the note 9 because of the huge battery and it has great features I was using at that time.. since Covid, I haven't been picking up my phone as much to consume media and didn't really need the big battery since I haven't been travelling anyway..
iOS has also improved since I last used it on my iPhone 6 & SE first gen.. glad to come back to it.
The note 9 can be unwieldy and in terms of the quality material... The iPhones are much better. You only would notice this after a couple of years.
I just got a 12 mini to replace my nearly 5 year old 7 that now my daughter will inherit as her first phone. So happy I waited. I love the original 4-5S design and I'm glad Apple went back to that flat edge design. Much easier to grip and more satisfying. I have a 8 Pro size phone for work, but I find it's way to bulky to carry around as a regular phone. the 12 Mini screen is big enough to satisfy my needs, bigger than the 7 , but the phone size is small enough to be easily pocketable.

Get the mini and use your iPhone 11 as a backup phone or a mini tablet using Wi-fi.
I love this phone, much more comfortable to hold and also fitting in a pocket is fantastic (especially in women’s clothes where pockets are smaller). I don’t have any problems with the battery. It is a solid phone that when dropped doesn’t die, I kept it without a cover for the first month with only a wallet accessory (again very convenient) and despite being dropped it didn’t chip. Screen is great for what I do with it and it is most definitely water resistant which is a great plus. Depends on what you have to do with it obvs but I would recommend it as an avid Instagramer and RUclips addict. Only problem I have is that being smaller the keypad requires a little more attention and some spell checking, but not a big issue as I have gotten used to it! Camera is top notch, really like the wide screen. I love it best phone I have ever bought.
Was actually stuck between the pro max and mini. Ended up going for the max only (and I can’t stress this enough) for battery life. As this is device for work and everything between casual and heavy load.
Upgraded from 11 to 12 mini and I love it. Screen is gorgeous and it feels great to hold and use. The battery’s not as strong as the 11 but it’s not bad.

@@janmateo iPhone 11 lasted ~36-48 hours (podcasts, some social media, messaging etc). 12 mini goes for maybe 24-36 hours. Had mine more than a year now and it still lasts well.

I friggen love my 12 mini. Best phone! Small, powerful. So much easier to carry around. Screen isn't that small - everything readable. Camera is awesome. Battery does drain faster, but it's not like you only get 2 hours before you have to charge. It's fine - 6-7 hours of continual use. Who uses a phone that long continuously anyway?!

I too have an 11 pro Max as a secondary. I use it on Wi-fi as a mini tablet and a backup handset should anything go wrong with the 12 Mini. 👍

@@Voixxy Battery life is bad on the mini, had to charge it twice threw out the day. I ended up switching it to the 12 Pro Max, I was in my 15 day exchange period. If you just text, check email you be fine on the mini but if you do social media, video watching and all I’d stick to the 11 pro max or get the 12 pro max if your wanting to upgrade your phone.

Great video and review. Have you tried turning on swipe keyboard? That will/should get rid of the typing issues and is very accurate (at least on iPad). I also love the smaller phone size, so as soon as my Moto Z2 Force dies, I’ll be getting an iPhone mini (and I will replace my Moto Mod collection with a MagSafe Mod collection).

I just got the blue model with 128 gb. I do love the size and the flat sides. The OLED screen is awesome but I would love them to finally bring always on display for the clock. Not a big deal but it's a nice feature I'm wishing for.

Had my mini for 10 days returned it. Battery life and small screen is a no go for me. I don't have a tablet and 95% of the time I'm browsing/media consumption on my phone even when I'm at home. I need a bigger screen. Got me the Pro max. Im coming from a Galaxy note 10 plus. Size wise, I have no problem with the Pro Max..went to apple store and tried it for several hours and liking it. Don't really know why people are saying its too big .

@@sladesurfer lol I understand. I also love big screen but I just switched from 11 Pro Max to 12 mini. The only reason is that I spend 95% of my time at home now, so I rather use my bigger screen to watch content (and mini is cheaper). If everything is back to normal (spending more time outdoor), I would probably switch to a bigger phone.
I had the 11, but it felt like a brick. The mini is like the perfect size which maximizes screen size for one handed use. I really hope there’s an iphone 14 mini because it will be my next Mini. They shouldn’t even brand it a Mini. It should be the standard model. Title the others the Plus and Plus Max.

12 mini works for me sometimes for 2 days. AWESOME after 5s
I upgraded from a 5 year old 6S that i bought on day one of released. used the 6S for 5 years and the phone was still fast but only had 16gb and the battery (was the sesond one) was at 71% health, sold the phone on ebay for 90 euros and got the 12 mini, its a completly new experience, i used to travel a lot and the camera is very important for when i dont have my D750 with me. The battery life is good for me, lasts 1 day no problem and i can do 2 days if i dont use it too much. I dont game on my phone btw
