This is my first time watching you. It is really refreshing to see someone who decorates with items that aren't all new from Target every season. There is something special about using items you have had for years. It makes the season more special as they carry memories with them. I am going to watch your previous videos now. The comment about your kids not wanting to look at each other across the kitchen island cracked me up. We have an oval kitchen table that sits 6. I had to make sure my boys were on opposite sides and diagonal from one another until they were both in high school to keep them from touching each other.!

When Christianity was forming its rites overlapped the spring rituals already in place. The resurrection of Christ and the symbols of spring renewal and rebirth commingled. Hence baby rabbits, eggs, chicks, spring blooms etc. Even the word Easter comes from Eoster ( I probably have that spelled wrong) who was a goddess of spring renewal in either Greece or Egypt. I am finishing up a design degree and started implementing a lose block schedule and it helps so much. I am a perfectionist who wants to have a career, be a good homemaker, and eventually have a large family. I find encouragement in you that I can balance it all some what. I realized that after becoming a mom that part of being a parent is the memories you make and become for your children. I love the decor,cleaning,organizing and cooking. What you share with us is such a beautiful thing, I am sure there are days we don't see but the positively and realness is so refreshing. I have the creative energy,resourcefulness and scappiness I see mirrored in you. That is something that only comes from being in some tough times and making something out of nothing. Each video is a gift of love to your family. I grew up where there was no decorating except for a little tree and manager for Christmas. I totally go over the top for Christmas and do a little for the rest of the year. There are always budget constraints and also space problems for storing items....
Lauren, when it comes to decorating for the holidays you don’t know simple. Your decorating ideas are wonderful and i always catch myself smiling while watching you decorate. After I watch your videos, I’m tempted to go buy more decorations. My marriage is more important. 🤷🏻♀️

I have ended up staggering breakfast times for my son and daughters in the morning, so they can each have breakfast in peace. For some reason everyone is a little ‘delicate’ in the morning and not very tolerant of one another 😆
As an Artist I love using bright pinks and rich purples with grass greens and carrot oranges. So maybe some Spring flowers to try for your beautiful decor. Try running the tulips in the top rack of your dishwasher but first spray them with Dawn power spray. That's what I do.
