I am so glad you said this. I have been watching several cozy cottage homes and all of the ones I have seen use neutral colors. I would like a cozy cottage feel but I have lots of color in my home. I just do not know how to make my rooms cozy.
Kristen, love what you’ve done in your living room. Your thrifted pillows look fabulous and match so beautifully with your new couches. Yes, you definitely need a larger coffee table; give some thought to a large round one - would be nice visually, and add a welcoming vibe to the room. A place to display coffee table books or a tray, candles, lanterns or other wonderful thrifted finds of yours. The first thing I thought when you suggested switching up the artwork over your fireplace was placing a large mirror there. If it’s large enough you could stand it on the mantle and not hang it. You have such beautiful artwork on your gallery wall. Love what you did to the fireplace. Amazing how a little DIY can transform something in any room and makes you feel so accomplished. The new insert is a perfect size for the opening. A basket on the floor with logs beside your fireplace would make your fireplace look authentic. On the other side you could place a large crock filled with pine cones that the girls have gathered for you and it would also hide where you ran out of tile. Even placing a small thrifted stool on one side of the fireplace with a potted plant or blanket on top would be cozy. All the hard work you put into this room really shows Kristen. Congratulations. Always look forward to your videos!!
The couches look great and switching the rug gave the room more warmth. Don’t get discouraged about your videos. I think people just get busy in the summer and aren’t watching as much. Keep them coming, people will watch.
Totally agree ,I find that I'm out and about more in summer and when I finally settle in for the nite to watch my favorites, I end up falling asleep. Lol
I like your hydrangea painting and options one or two are nice too. The third painting is too small in proportion to the space. It looks nice with your things on the mantle the new fireplace insert and your other additions. I love your gallery wall. It is a warm and inviting room for your family and guests.
The new sofas are beautiful. I love the color! Room makeovers are my favorite thing. I’m 73, and growing up, my mother rearranged furniture in every room on a regular basis. It made the house feel so different and refreshed. She didn’t spend any money, just rearranged and used things she already had Maybe people are a little tired of all the thrifting, but not the things you do to make your house a home
I love the color and the rug, so cozy, and I do what your mom did too. Mostly becuz I'm ADHD & get bored. Love that look so much, the color is classy too. The kids are super adorable, as always
I love your living room transformation!!!! The green sofas are gorgeous and really make all the other greens pop! Those stick on tiles completely transformed your fireplace! Every thing is just lovely! And thankyou for showing how you and Josh show grace and forgiveness to each other! A great reminder to us all!!! 🙏🏻🧡🙏🏻
I love the changes but sorry all 3 pictures are not very attractive, they are just so old lady looking and you have a young family. I am 72 but even I would not go for any of the pictures 😢
Your home is adorable. I love that you use antiques and color. I’m so tired of interior designers giving us nothing but white, with more white, and adding tan for texture. 😅
Kristen! I just love your channel! I literally teared up when I saw your husband and you coming together during a stressful moment. We do a lot of premarital counseling and that is just such good stuff. Also, this is the OCD in me, but I think if you wrapped the cord that goes to your fireplace in white, it will not stick out like a sore thumb like it does!
GIRL, Those couches are TO DIE FOR! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Love the peel and stick tile too! Totally transformed the space. I bet you’re super excited!
Kristen - your channel is one of my absolute favourites. You are so creative and talented, and so relatable at the same time. Thankyou for sharing. AND - your fireplace looks amazing!!
I love that you do not stage areas before you film and that we see “real life.” For example, the stuff under the couch when you moved it. We all have the random objects that end up under the couch. It lets us know that you live just like we do. Seeing how God is the center of your home and life is truly a blessing.
And I am dying for a green velvet sofa. That really is a classic color and style! I love that in your room, and it also makes your old rug work really well too.
Go with matching rugs! The sofas are gorgeous, and the changes you made to the fireplace are beautiful! The deep green tile is perfect, and the insert really makes a difference! I love how you kept the momennts with Josh in the video because in an age where people only put their "perfect life" in videos and social media, you're keeping it real! The Spurgeon reading was an added bonus! As for your watch hours, everyone I'm subscribed to seems to have the same issue, but it's because it's summer, so please don't worry! Someone made a comment on this video that people are tired of thrifting videos, and they are wrong! Thrifting is so huge now, and those of us who watch your videos are here to watch whatever you do regardless of the content! 💜💚🙏🏻
I love the makeover. The tiles on the fireplace are perfect and you chose the same picture I wanted. The green just pops with it and your new sofas. Also, anytime God's word can be spoken/read is the best thing. You never know who needs to hear it. Thank you.
I love option 2 so I'm glad you chose that one! You've inspired me to do a gallery wall and I've had the most fun shopping for pictures for it! Scored this weekend with two pieces for 1.99 each!
Your room make over is beautiful! Maybe Josh could amount the tv on a bracket that can be moved and tilted there on that same wall where it is so that it doesn’t fall from the table. 👍🏻
I really like option 2 for the summer. I think the covered bridge would be nice for fall. Scale depends on what you decorate your mantle with. The mantle is my favorite to decorate.😁 Looks lovely! Have a blessed week.🌸
I'm 73, live in Atlanta, and love your channel so much. Love the couches. Green has always been my favorite color. Great job on the fireplace too. You chose the painting that I liked the best. I started thrifting two years ago and thoroughly enjoy seeing your thrift hauls. I too have found so many wonderful pieces for my home.
Seascape all the way. Color and size are perfect. The green tiles look so good, as does the new insert. The new couches are so rich, and really add to the room. I like the rug too! A large oval or round coffee table would handle traffic through the room if you can find one. Bless you and your husband, and thank you for including that tender moment.
Yes, yes , yes !! Thank you for your time and effort. I love your content, style , and personality. The best part is how you live out your faith and honor God. Keep up the good work !!
I love the green couches. Adding the rug from the dining room was a smart choice. Instead of buying more tile, you could put trim at the bottom and paint it white. Save a few bucks. The room looks gorgeous.
I love your fireplace makeover! The green looks great! It all looks wonderful! You always do such a wonderful job with your house! I truly love your house! I can't wait till your videos come out! I have watched almost all of your videos. Still working on finishing them. I know you don't know me. I am from all the way over on the east coast in West Virginia. I work at our church and i am over the children's ministry. I am so proud of both of you and the values you are instilling in your girls. Please dont be discouraged. God is working through your videos! God bless you and your family!❤
Happy Monday Kristen! How is your farmers market going? I haven’t heard you mention it. The fireplace looks great with your faux tile. Same thing happens to us all the time with not ordering it buying enough when we are doing a project. Your new couches look fabulous. If viewership is done it is probably just because of the busy summer. No worries! Have a blessed week.
I'm new to your channel, and I absolutely love it! Yes, we do serve a God that teaches us about grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation! What a great way to decorate and witness! God bless y'all!
Wow! What a beautiful transformation with the green color . The art work you finally chose looks best of the three. What a difference the "tile" made on the fireplace. You have really great ideas. Have you thought about using a vintage crocheted doily and few old books on the coffee table? The living room looks so homey now. Love what you did. God bless you and your beautiful family.
Kristen, Your fireplace turned out so cozy! Great job! I love your channel and that you're such a real down to earth person, not putting on, but just being you! You are fun and I love your content.
Beautiful makeover! I love the color of the new couches. I like the before pics, but the after is amazing! Great job. Thank you for taking us along. 🇺🇸
I love how your living room turned out. The picture above the fireplace is perfect and the colors bring out the green in the fireplace tile and your new couches. So beautiful, you did a great job.
Hi Kristen, love the new couches, the green tile on the fireplace and the new fireplace insert. Looks great and is more balanced. Since you asked for feedback, here is mine: I think you picked the right painting for above the fireplace. It hangs lower than the other options which I think is better to scale. It also makes the wall candlesticks sit higher, which I think looks better. I would remove the metal pheasants, as well as the candlesticks from the mantle. I would take a beautiful vintage book, maybe with green leather, and put it under the large crock on the left side. Some elevation would look nice on the mantle instead of everything at the same level. The darker crock that you put on the right side was a good choice as it balances the darker color of the large rock that is in the painting on the left. Your home is looking very nice, well done!
Kudos on the ocean picture over the fireplace. Hung up definitely looks so much better than leaning. Id say ❤ love this living room makeover vid!! Absolutely beautiful ❤ thank you for being the most beautiful person that Jesus made you to be. You are radiant
It all looks amazing! I love the green! I would also suggest adding a trim piece or painting the bottom the same color green as the tile and possibly put a plant, basket or nick-knack in front of the corners to help camouflage it. 💚
I love what you’ve done in your living room. The couches are so stylish and the little stove is perfect!! I like the beach scene best! If you have a problem keeping candles straight in holders, melt a little wax into the holder and then add the candle cut will keep it upright.
As frustrating as the tiling was on your fireplace, it actually looks amazing! Really beautiful. And the new couches are gorgeous. The low backs on them show off the pretty trim on your wall very nicely.Your living room is perfection, Kristen, you are very good at arranging vignettes. Great job my dear.
I think the artwork you chose was a perfect choice. I also love that it brings out the green from the fireplace. I would get green or blue candles to match even further. If you wrap a little tinfoil around the bottom of the candle and smoosh it into the candlestick holder, it will help keep it straight. The trick is in hiding the foil. But, it’s better than digging out melted wax from the candlestick.
Oh my gosh your little baby running around in just a nappy (I'm British lol) took me back a few years. I'm old now, so it's just lovely to see little ones running around while Mum & Dad are busy lol. You have a beautiful home x
Kristen, you are Wonderful, and your channel is Amazing. I Truly Enjoy your channel, here on RUclips & your Instagram Account also. I Always Enjoy seeing the Love that you and your Sweet Family have for one another as well. It was So Beautiful to see how you and Josh worked through that little rough spot. The Beautiful reminder that you shared about how Christ gives us the opportunity to show love, grace, and forgiveness to others; just like He Lovingly showers those same things upon us, was SO Wonderful. ❤🙌🏾❤ Sweetheart, please try not to worry about the numbers appearing smaller, So Many people are busy enjoying the short Season of Summer. 🙂 By the way, your living room was Gorgeous before the transformation, and it is Still Gorgeous after the changes that you made. To put it simply, your Home is Truly Beautiful, Warm, and Welcoming. Kristen, Thank You for sharing, inspiring, encouraging, and allowing the Light of Christ to shine through you. Keep up the Amazing job, and take care. Love In Christ, Paula
@OfficialkristenHoffman. Hi! Kristen, I downloaded Telegram on my phone but it will not let me send you a message without your phone number. Any other way I can Contact you?
Great job! Love all the new touches. I learned from my MIL who does design to put the height on the left for some reason it really balances things. Lovely job! Fun treasures and sweet family! ❤
I absolutely love all of the changes! The fireplace looks like night and day and I love the seascape artwork you chose. Your videos are inspiring. Keep being uniquely YOU!! :)
The living room looks beautiful! I also love how you and your husband keep it real in your video. I needed a reminder that relationships are not always perfect and it's ok. Also love the sticker tiles on the fireplace. Pulls the entire room together with the new couches. Thank you for sharing.
I love large artwork. I always err on the side of larger art. Totally agree with option #2. Gorgeous and perfect image for that spot. Fantastic upgrades all around!
I absolutely love your videos. You are very talented and I’ve actually incorporated many ideas and tips into my own life. I often refer back to your wonderful videos as a reference. Also, I was quite surprised when you did your make up video as I use the exact same makeup and apply makeup similar to how you do it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and your beautiful family with us all.
The content in your videos is always good no matter what you offer, but my favorite videos are usually the ones where you’re styling your home or showing where you put your thrifted treasures. The commentary is always good & you give me a good chuckle often! You have no idea how inspiring your channel is to me & from the comments so many other people! You have me holding on to my dream of a one day farmhouse. In the meantime I slowly add little finds to my current home & often use your videos as inspiration. The biblical undertone is a great bonus to the motherhood & homemaking content. It’s all what I’m here for! Keep up the good work 🖤
That looks fantastic! I love the green furniture and fireplace. I don’t watch as much tv in the summer so that may be the case for a lot of people in regards to your viewing numbers.
I love the green tiles I'm glad that you're going to leave them that way. They go so well with your new couches. And the art that you chose is perfect with all of the colors in the room and as well as your style. And of course, your new stove is perfect. You did wonderfully!
U and ur husband are just to cute. The fact that you keep it real with life… life is tough but the two of you regroup talked about it with a hugged and kissed which I found to be absolutely adorable. I love that about your channel and how u give thanks to God. I will continue to support your channel if you and your family continue to be real and adorable😊 PS don’t worry they will come🙏
Love the transformation! The sofas really made a difference to the room, a freshness plus the open bottom makes it look more open. As for the pictures, I prefer the beach one (the middle one you showed us). The birds sound like they are cast aluminum, especially as the feet bent so easily, and they look like peacocks with their tails down.
If you place the 2 candle holders on the left side, possibly behind the crock, you will have roughly the same height as the crock and greenery on the right side. Also, try splitting up the birds--one on both sides facing each other, Perfect choice for the artwork. A large round coffee table softens a space and is a little safer with little ones.
I like the covered bridge pic. It pulls out the fireplace tile surround. Yes, I agree, lower and perhaps no wall sconces to bring more focus on the painting.
Looks great with the seascape print. Couch and rug and fireplace looks great! Also I think the brass candlesticks would look good without candles. I see that a lot! 😊
Kristen, you brightened my day every time you make a video! I wanted to let you know that I asked my granddaughters yesterday if they would like to start having tea parties, and it was an astounding yes! I am now on the lookout for those beautiful antique tea sets. Thank you for your outlook to life, motherhood and homemaking. You have really changed my outlook! Keep doing what you do!!!
The green tiles on the fireplace are perfect with the green plants and couches! Looks beautiful!
Your living room update is lovely. I love that everyone is now starting to add some color to their homes, looks so much cozier.
I am so glad you said this. I have been watching several cozy cottage homes and all of the ones I have seen use neutral colors. I would like a cozy cottage feel but I have lots of color in my home. I just do not know how to make my rooms cozy.
I like the 2nd option for the art above the fireplace! Perfect size and colouring
Bringing in the green took an already pretty living room to another level. I love it! Cozy, warm, and welcoming.
Kristen, love what you’ve done in your living room. Your thrifted pillows look fabulous and match so beautifully with your new couches. Your birds are Pheasants
Don’t like both of candles. Use the brass candles and wood ones somewhere else.
I like your hydrangea painting and options one or two are nice too. The third painting is too small in proportion to the space.

Rearranging is my hobby
I love the color and the rug, so cozy, and I do what your mom did too. Mostly becuz I'm ADHD & get bored. Love that look so much, the color is classy too. The kids are super adorable, as always
The seascape is a total YES! Couches are gorgeous.
U r getting there. Try big candle on one end of coffee table, small flat pretty box on other ene...less formal
You need something more contemporary to match you're sofas maybe with jewel tones!
I love your living room transformation!!!! The green sofas are gorgeous and really make all the other greens pop! Those stick on tiles completely transformed your fireplace! The beach pic pulls all the colors together, great summer seascape, best proportion! 😊

Keep up the good work 🖤
What a great update to your living room. The fireplace diy was amazing. I do agree that a larger coffee table would be better. Great job, Kristen 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Option 2 for the painting. Your right on with the green and blue. Love the punch of color in this room!
It looks so warm and inviting!! Love it! And those sticker tiles look amazing!!!!!!
That looks fantastic! I love the green furniture and fireplace. I don’t watch as much tv in the summer so that may be the case for a lot of people in regards to your viewing numbers.
The fireplace looks amazing and so does all the other changes you made ❤
Option 2 artwork for sure, colours, frame, size… All works better for the space
I love the green tiles I'm glad that you're going to leave them that way. They go so well with your new couches. And the art that you chose is perfect with all of the colors in the room and as well as your style. And of course, your new stove is perfect. You did wonderfully!
Thank you so much!
This was recommended to me in my feed and I'm so glad...what a lovely home, lady, AND you love the Lord? I'm so glad to be here. Happy Friday ❤🙏 😘
Welcome!!
I vote option 2! Goes so well with the couches!
U and ur husband are just to cute. The fact that you keep it real with life… life is tough but the two of you regroup talked about it with a hugged and kissed which I found to be absolutely adorable.
I love that about your channel and how u give thanks to God. I will continue to support your
channel if you and your family continue to be real and adorable😊
PS don’t worry they will come🙏
Thank you so much!!
The fireplace makeover looks great! The new stove is so much better than the logs.
Option 2, just the right size and colors. Love the sofas ❣️
Your living room looks beautiful!
Just change the mantle artwork with each season. No need to be committed to only one piece. The new green tile and sofas are fabulous! Love both!
The fire place looks so much better, the art you chose was the one I was rooting for!
Beautiful transformation! You do need a larger square coffee table though! Awesome job! ❤
They have nice furniture at the Reuse stores....
I’d get a round coffee table if I could.
Absolutely love the new look. Couches are beautiful! Great job!
LOVE the tiles! Living room looks beautiful!! Sweet hubby ❤❤❤
I love the green! Perfect couches, definitely like the rug with more color. The fireplace looks amazing. Picture number 2 would be my choice.
Thanks so much! 😊
Well, of course, I LOVE it!!! You use a lot of green, and that's my favorite color.😊💚
Aww I love that you showed the relationship between you and your husband 🥰🥰💚
Always!
❤how you brought in green---couches, "tile" on fireplace, branches, painting...looks marvelous!
I like the covered bridge pic. It pulls out the fireplace tile surround. Yes, I agree, lower and perhaps no wall sconces to bring more focus on the painting.
Love the beach painting... the colors pull everything together. Love the rug too.... what a difference.
I love the couches and also the painting you choose for over the fireplace.
Definitely like the second picture, the one you chose.
Looks great with the seascape print. Couch and rug and fireplace looks great! Also I think the brass candlesticks would look good without candles. I see that a lot! 😊
The new look is GREAT!!! And the faux stick on brick looks really nice
Love the green sofas with the green Smart tiles….yay you!!
I love the room makeover. I also loved the scripture reading
Absolutely love the new living room and I think you made the right choice of picture!
Decor magician! Such a stunning makeover.
Oh I just love how this all turned out!!!!! Gorgeous!!!! Love the added green!!!!!
