The new furniture layout in the living room looks great, much more open and spacious. My mother used to make me shamrock shaped sandwiches from cookie cutters for my school lunch around St Patrick's Day. I can see you doing that, too. ☘💚😉
I love decorating for St.Patrick's Day. One fun activity I did with my Elementary school students in the library: I would print out different leprechauns and I would hide them around the library. This worked for the younger kids. I would then give each student a gold candy coin. For older students I made the hunt with riddles they had to figure out to find the correct picture I had taped around the room. Ex. This is the plant believed to bring good luck- 4 leaf 🍀 I numbered the pictures and they had to fill out the form with the riddle and number on picture. My students looked forward to this activity every year! Love all your decor so cute! I also decorate with the Annalee dolls!
Suggestion: If your going to leave the window seat.. you should paint it white so it doesn’t look.. unfinished. You could attach some kind of decorative molding across the edge and some antique legs. I wish I lived closer, I would gladly help you sew some new cushions. Love the recipes. The kids thinking the fish was chicken is awesome😆
Awww! Ya I feel like no one ever decorates for this holiday! I always have since I was little! I am a quarter Irish though so maybe that’s why!! I also love shamrocks and rainbows so I think the decor is adorable!☘️🌈
The living room is gorgeous and timeless. My first house was a 1928 bungalow, I loved staying true to that era and decorating to enhance the classic, historic feel. Topiaries make everything better! It's very clear you love your home and I totally get it - Just remember, no matter where life takes you, this home will always stay with you.
I personally love it when you keep the smaller holidays simple, and let the rich style/ detailed decor of your home speak for itself. Just opens up the space more! Absolutely adore your tablescapes though! 💜
You have the best seasonal decor Lauren. I always look forward to these videos you put together for us. I was actually watching some of your Easter videos from last year. I purchased a bunch of those faux cabbages, lettuce last year. I'm on the hunt for the table runner. Thank you for always inspiring us.
Lauren I love the living room. It’s so open but still cozy. Your St Patrick’s decorations are adorable. I decorate for every occasion. I started doing this when my kids were small. Now they have kids of their own. My grandkid’s are 16 and 17 and they look forward to seeing my decorations. If I’m a little late with my monthly decorations they ask me why I haven’t switched. My mom is in a nursing home and I change her decorations every month so she doesn’t tire of looking at things. She looks forward to the change each.month. Your a such a good mother and I love how you are always doing things for them. Have a wonderful week and will be waiting for your next video.
LIVING ROOM furniture is perfect - removing a couple chairs has enlarged the space (calming) and given more purpose to “just family” (or something like that - hard to describe). LOVE the green touches everywhere and leprechaun theme!! Dining table is TOO FUN , definitely sets the mood to find the pot o’ gold at the end of the rainbow! Thanks for your hard, dedicated work to make this happen seasonally - you’re truly the GOLDEN girl!!
My sweet dad passed away last St. Patrick's Day and this helped me look forward to the holiday a little more and not be sad. Thank you for all you do Lauren. XO
When I was in 4th grade my teacher had the class design and build leprechaun traps. When we got to school all the traps had been set off and little gold coins were in the traps. It was so fun and magical. That was 22 years ago and I still very fondly remember that and plan on having my kids make leprechaun traps.
The living room looks great. I love all the green touches. I’m a March baby. Both grandparents were from Ireland so I do decorate for St Patrick’s. Since my name is Patricia it’s pretty much expected I do the living room dining and kitchen. One of my sons makes corned beef and cabbage for the day
I think your livingroom looks so much better without so many chairs. I love that tablescape! I used to decorate for St Pat's when my kids and grandkids were little, but now I just decorate for spring in general, with touches for Valentines and Easter.
Living room looks very nice with green pillows & your children are sure to enjoy your mantel decor! My only St. Patrick's Day decor is a live Shamrock plant & it is doing so well now & little white flowers. You should get one.
I don't usually do much for valentine's or St. Pat's but this year I've done NOTHING! I just wasn't feeling it and with all the toddler toys I constantly feel like there's so much anyway. I'm trying to get motivated for Easter because I do love it and ushering in Spring vibes. Plus my littles are suddenly really into it. But the Fall-Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas rush took it all out of me!
Like the living room. More restful. As a kindergarten teacher and now a grandmother of 11 I sneak in green food coloring in bottom of clear pitcher. Standing back I have the kids say Abra Cadabra as I pour in white milk and it magically turns green
Seeing all the green this time of year is always an instant mood boost because springtime is my favorite time of year! Your dinner looked so delicious!
I think a good chunky cable knit throw pillow looks good with St Pat’s decor. Reminds me of Ireland and Irish wool and Celtic knots. I never would have thought of cabbage as St Pat’s decor, but it totally makes sense! And the leprechaun traps are adorable!
I think the living room looks so much better with less furniture. It always felt so overwhelming and not inviting. Way better now! And I love the table scape. Adorable! ☘️☘️
I make Colcannon every year my family looks forward to it , I’m Irish but don’t decorate to much since my kids are grown but put a few things for the grandkids ☘️🍀☘️🍀💚💚
I love your table scape! ☘️ I’ve never been one to decorate much for St Patrick’s Day but you really have made me wonder why! What you put together was both cut and fun but still elegant. That’s what I like.
My St. Patrick's Day decorations are on my coffee table. I have a few Anna Lee Christmas mice. I think that they are so cute. Your living room problem seems to be solved. It looks great. Thank you for decorating so much for your kids. They will never forget.
My children always built Leprechaun traps the night before. The next morning they awoke to find mischief had occurred all over the house, and the gold bait had been taken, bur no leprechauns were ever caught. Big black pots of gold wrapped candies always went to school with the kids to share with their classrooms. (I had teacher permission ahead of time). The scrapbook albums are full of great photos. The kids are all grown and gone now, and I miss this fun!
Hi Lauren, the living room came out very nice. It looks bigger now. The St Patrick's decor came out so cute.. adorable your meals always look so yummy !! Enjoy your holiday. Have a great week.
Lauren your home looks stunning as usual!!! I dont decorate for st. Patrick's day but it would be fun oneday to do that. I remember many holidays staying up all night just to make it special for my children when they were little! Just to see a smile on their faces was pure joy as a mama!!!! Being a mama is the hardest job in the world but the most rewarding!😁 I love the tablescape and it looks like a lot of fun in your home!🏠🏠🏠 I cant wait until I get a home oneday and some grandkids!🐇🐇🐣🐣🐣🐰🐰🐰🏠🏠🏠
My Son in Law is from Dublin, Ireland. He has been in America for 18 years, since he married our daughter. I have done the brisket. But they love about 3 kinds of potatoes at a meal . I didn't know what else to make to go with it. So I just cooked carrots. I really didn't get into decorating much. They have brought back some things for me for our Christmas tree. So that is my Irish story. Joyce
Hi Lauren! Just had to say hi, and thank you for being my introduction to the RUclips video world many months ago. You were my first person to watch, and I enjoy your style and your home. Love your seasonal decorating! Lori from Wisconsin
I really like how the living room is set up. I like it with the chairs blocking the dining room and I like it open too. I think I like it open more. And with the couch there you can see the fireplace really well and the tv without too much turning as well. The previous owners of our house had the kitchen/nook and the living room separated with a large antique side table which looked really nice but we opened it up so it flowed and it felt so much bigger. I love that the mossy table runner is back, it's so cute and I love the new blanket with the clovers on them.
Your St Patrick's Day decor looks great! Your decor looks so nice. Your living room looks great. Looks better since you removed some of the chairs. You were right. It looks more open now! Thanks for sharing! I decorate for all holidays. I don't cook anything special. Your green pillow are a nice touch. Look great!!

Yes, I love decorating for St. Patrick's day! I also feel it's too soon to decorate for Easter. For St. Patrick's Day I love to make my Irish Stout Beef Stew with Irish Soda Bread and a No-Bake Irish Cream Cheesecake for dessert.
You really go all out! I bet your children have no idea what a great mom they have. You are exceptional. I never decorated for St. Pat's day because I'm not Irish. Always made corn beef and cabbage for my husband. Now I just make the corned beef for Ruebens.
The new living room is fabulous! Looks so functional and elegant. In Australia we don’t really celebrate or acknowledge St Patrick’s day unless you are Irish. This video is making me very excited to decorate and surprise my girls for Easter!
Love your St Patrick's day decor Lauren its amazing, Although l,m Irish l don't decorate for it as its my father in laws anniversary of his death. But we go out for a meal and lots of the good stuff, lol, stay safe and well love from Belfast on the island of Ireland. 🇮🇪
Yes, I would use potatoes as well because of the Irish influences. I actually have potatoes as candles made of wax so that’s even easier. They were from Illuminations back in the dayyyyy...I loved that store.
Nice dinner 😋! Decor .. less is more, looks great 🍀 I bought those lit white trees at Lobby Hobby last November. No I do not decorate nor cook for St Pat's. I use to go out to the Irish bars, but now just have food ordered for pick up! "A good friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have one" Cheers and enjoy! 🪙💚🍀
Love how your St Patrick’s decorating turned out, simple yet fun…the throw cushions are gorgeous 💚 the tablescape looked amazing 🤩 the swordfish meal looked vibrant and delicious…love your recipe videos!
☘️I absolutely loved watching this !! I too decorate for Saint Patrick's Day ☘️ Unfortunately where I live, Quebec we do not have much in the way of St Patrick's decor so I have had to get creative. ☘️Thanks for the moss runner idea & the cabbage!! Amazing!! Looks like the Emerald fields of Ireland 🇮🇪 Keep up the fun relaxing vlogs! Your children will have such fond & rich☘️ memories. 💚 from a huge Canadian fan!!
🍀I've never decorated for st Patrick day but this video was so fun! It made me excited for the holiday lol.🍀 I think I need to do some green decor shopping 🛍
I wasn’t going to decorate for St Patrick’s day anymore (I get too excited to decorate for Easter and do it way early 😂) but your decor has inspired me! I think I have to recreate your “Leprechauns in the garden” tablescape! Seriously everything you create is stunning… if you ever create a coffee table book with photos of your decorating, I would buy one immediately! Thank you for sharing ♥️
Hi Lauren the living room looks so pretty, love how you rearranged the furniture and decorated for St. Patrick's day. I love the figures, Anna Lee, I collect them. I've always found mostly at TJ Maxx, and some other stores. The tablescape is fantastic, I'm a grown up and I was excited, I'm sure the kids are as well. The salad looks delicious, I have to make. Appreciate these recipes. Have a blessed week.
Could you possibly be my mom? I’m older than you and I LOVE how you decorate so magical and whimsical for your kids. You have special ideas and are so upscale and creative! Fabulous job!🍀🍀🍀
Omg!!!! Your living room looks totally different!! It looks amazing! So much bigger! Love the rectangular bench in the middle! You never disappoint in any of your decorating!! I’m Irish so I definitely decorate for St. Paddy’s! Fortunately since Easter is late this year I go all out for St Paddy’s. I adore Easter and it’s Over the Top so when Easter falls in early April I do skip St Paddy’s. But I LOVE your channel! You are an inspiration indeed! God Bless!
I mixed gold coin chocolates with plastic gold coins so my little one and hubby coud fish out the chocolates. Chicago has two big parades one on the south side of the city and one downtown where it's been made a tradition to dye the Chicago River green. Food venues/Bars usually sell corn beef with potatoes and green beer. Always felt like everyone is Irish on St Patrick's Day here. Found out a couple of years ago that I am actually 4% Irish.
I have never decorated for St Patrick’s Day but I love what you have done!!!! I may have to next year, 🤔. Love the way your living space looks!! You are a busy girl!! Lol
My only tradition now is to attend Mass on St. Patrick’s Day and to read his story. When I have children, God willing, I’ll decorate and celebrate a bit as well.
So very cute! Love your St. Patty's day decor. Also love the living room make over! Less furniture looks so much better. I did the same thing in all of my rooms last year, and I love the less is more approach, there's something so freeing about it, plus it's easier to clean. Win win really. 😁
Love the tablescape! I decorate for almost every holiday and Saint Patrick’s Day is one of them ☘️😊 Shamrock shakes from McDonald’s are my children’s favorite, but we also make it at home as well 💚
Love what you do to make all of the holiday memories for your kiddos. They are fortunate to have such a committed mom. I was a designer for many years ( retired now) I enjoy all of your ideas and try to do some thing for each holiday myself. My daughter also still decorates even though her two have bought their own homes. It is very satisfying to still have a creative flair. Lauren just keep doing what you do, it makes thousands of people happy, and finally I love your recipes ❤️
This was so much fun to watch. I love the way it all came out. I'm off to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to see if I can find a few things to decorate with for St. Paddy's Day. Hope you have a great week Lauren!!
I’m really excited about your dinner. Fennel salad looks delicious. Have never cooked swordfish before, definitely going to make this! Can’t wait to start collecting St.Patrick’s Day items. Thank you for all your hard work.
Beautiful, beautiful decorations, thanks for sharing. I love St. Patrick’s Day. I do art work, with my grandchildren, and concentrate on the symbols for the holiday, like, snakes, shamrocks and the color green, by mixing yellow and blue paint through marbles, and the kids get excited to discover the color green. We also discuss, what happens to the Chicago river, and how it turns green. Wow, the spices u use, I could smell it , and everything looks delicious. Thanks for sharing. 🙏☘️✝️🌈💚🌟
I share the amazing true story of St. Patrick every year to my kids. It still brings me to tears and the message is truly unforgettable.
The new furniture layout in the living room looks great, much more open and spacious. My mother used to make me shamrock shaped sandwiches from cookie cutters for my school lunch around St Patrick's Day. I can see you doing that, too. ☘💚😉

Adorable! ☘️☘️
Love the open feel in your living room...the bench is great and the fireplace below the window looks so nice! The kids will live the green decor💚💚💚

I don't have littles at home anymore. But I like to make pistachio bread and marble mint bark for family and friends and work.

Amazing St. Patrick decor. Love the colors and the cabbage 😍 I found the same rainbows 🌈 cushion at Marshall. Love it ❤
Happy St Patrick's day 🎉
I have never decorated for St Patrick’s Day but I love what you have done!!!! I may have to next year, 🤔. Love the way your living space looks!! You are a busy girl!! Lol
I love the tablescape! Food looks delicious. Your videos are always so interesting and exciting! Thanks for sharing!
My only tradition now is to attend Mass on St. Patrick’s Day and to read his story. When I have children, God willing, I’ll decorate and celebrate a bit as well.
Omg girl everything is so cute! Love it all! I can’t wait to decorate this weekend! I already got my bin out! ☘️☘️☘️
So very cute! Love your St. Patty's day decor. Also love the living room make over! Less furniture looks so much better. I did the same thing in all of my rooms last year, and I love the less is more approach, there's something so freeing about it, plus it's easier to clean. Win win really. 😁
I love your decorating it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Everything looks lovely as always. All the best dear Lauren.
Love the table!!🍀☘️🍀. I always decorate my entryway & tiered tray.
The recipe looked yummy! Love the decorations also💚💚
Wow you really go all out for St. Patrick's Day
On St Patricks day I enjoy baking a Baileys Irish Cream liqueur cake.
You decorate so cute for your kids! 💟 luv your videos! Your house is gorgeous 💕💕
