danggg, wish it had a radio, ABS, airbag, and an automatic (although the addition of a radio is enough for me). and most importantly, sold here in Indonesia lol. love these simple machines that stands out through the test of time

@PowerDrift Its almost been a year, but still waiting for an extensive and detailed review on the Thar. Please also do test it on-road to explain its practicality for using both on and off road.
Just came from Goa where I had rented a Thar and it was my first experience with it. Got to say I loved it! Great video too guys :D
Beautiful!!! I've been around Jeeps, Landcruisers and Landrovers all my life. This Thar is the perfect mix of all these iconic 4x4s and in a way that is highly appealing to a 4x4 enthusiast like myself. Simple and effective is best here. I own a Mahindra Pikup s6 Karoo 4x4 double cab. It is by far the best 4x4 we have ever owned. The Thar would be the perfect combination for us here in the South African bush.
Finally M&M could yield to the desire of off roaders and bring something they could at least take out for a spin.
We Indians have a very special bond with THAR. Knowingly or unknowingly, almost every boy starts to love this machine right from his childhood.! :)
True, much like Royal Enfield, we have all grown up looking at uber cool Willy's, Jeep's et all!
I read in the comments that the video was made in just 5 hrs.. I think PD has done an amazing job.. already I m a fan of the Thar.. it's my dream car.. n now after watching this video I m even more motivated towards owning it in future.. once again excellent job done by Powerdrift.. thanks for d video.. looking forward to more Thar stuff.. #thargasm#

I am the very proud owner of a Mahindra pikup s6 4x4 double cab Karoo trim in South Africa. Judging from this incredible vehicles performance I would really like to try a Thar offroad in my 4x4 training School. It has to be outstanding!!!

There is no comparison of THAR amongst all the vehicles sold in India and I'm really proud with mine but waiting to see the competition with Jeep Compass :-)

i have 2013 thar crde. and i like my thars simple and basic interior. diff lock is a very good add on. and this new interior will creat lot of problem when any one will put front facing rear seats. to go in n out. and i love Thar crde 4x4. its very Desi n Cool

Can mahindra make a bad car?? Love the whole range of their suvs! The interior on this is a bit too cheap i think, that could be improved! Apart from that it is a amazing off roader!
Please show some time with its actual sound. Music can pause atleast that time.
I wish there were more conventional rear seats... Then it would have been a good car for touring with family.

Reminds me of my rides on Jeep when I was a kid.
But can anyone tell me technically what 4X4 signifies ?
4x4 signifies that the car has a 4Wheel drive mode, i.e when slotted in that mode the engine will power all 4 wheels instead of front 2 or rear 2. In messy road conditions, slotting it in this mode would mean the vehicle will get power on every wheel and so whichever has traction, will bail the car out of the situation.
