My question is how does the software for the webcam compair to the logitech. The logitech c920 is a good webcam but ive always had issues with the software.
@@DBpsychology it recommends using Amcap. They have a free version on the link in the product guide. I don't like it though. Just started using mine last week. I tried using OBS instead, but OBS may or may not work for you. Depends on your PC and what you are trying to do. I don't plan on continuing using either one, and plan to try other free software options. Rather bummed that this camera didn't have it's own software.
a better review of the camera would have been showing a low light situation without and ringlight on and after that with the ringlight on compared to c920 without any ringlight.
Me this morning: "Need a new cam for art streaming... Lets look up these Logitech cams. Hm, I wonder if there are other cameras." Wild: "I got you, fam." Never stop stalking me, babe. :P
Having just bought the logitech c920 and a cheap small beauty ring light, I can say it is a good setup for low light conditions while oil painting details on paintings. The colour trueness on the logitech is passable so you get a good impression of the painting.
Any advice on how to get the ringlight to work properly on the Vitade 960a Web Camera? I bought this camera due to your review, now, its installed working well, except...I have no control over the ringlight! I press the switch on the webcam...nothing. Also...who makes the vitade???? I can't find a website anywhere. Appreciate any help you can give me.
Cool review - I picked one up but it's completely over-exposing everything. My face is completely blown out, I look like a ghost! Any ideas on how I can adjust the settings? Or is it faulty?
Make sure you have adequate lighting. You can make adjustments in your OBS or SLOBS software. Right click on the camera and go to properties, from there you can make adjustments. Hope that helps
@@Wild4 thanks for the reply! I've got a decent lighting setup (my A6000 looks great under it with iso 200, f4, 1/50) but it's just completely blown out with the 960a. Very strange. And under daylight it's even worse. I need it to work with Discord rather than OBS and the auto settings are like I've got '+10 exposure comp' on or something! 😅
Love your videos inspired me a lot got a affiliate status but I feel like I rushed into it too fast and don’t have more than 4 views after hitting affiliate any tips to progress maybe social media marketing for my stream like using certain tags when I go live or anything that could attract new viewers?
The Logitech camera definitely had more accurate color reproduction based on what I saw from your "regular" video camera and comparing it to the images from the c920 and 960a. Too bad the incorporated ring light was so useless, as it would have made the value prospect of the camera considerably higher.
This video is very well done, I hit subscribe! One thing I'm left wondering is could you do an example of low light situations? The entire time I was 100% sure you were going to with how much you talked about it haha. Also I'd buy a logitech if they weren't all 1200 dollars at the moment.
Dude, you're freaking hilarious! I was looking for a webcam with a ring light and I kept waiting and waiting for you to mention the very obvious ring light on the Vitade 960a but you never did... until the very end, and you lowered the boom! The ring light sucks! hahahahahahahaha - I'm starting to get the idea that webcams don't need ring lights? Most webcams are good enough to brighten the video even in low light situations? Especially when compared to the the built-in webcams on an iMac? As an aside, not necessarily looking for cheap. What's the last webcam I'd ever have to buy? It's mostly for conducting webinars. Thanks.
I was super depressed when I missed the sale on the Kiyo until I found this cam on Amazon. I think I will get it to replace my old C610. I have experience in color adjustment and white balance so I think I'll be good.
I'm looking at the Vitade 682H myself, which claims to be 1080p 60 FPS, yet uses USB 2.0 UVC drivers. I'm interested in it, but I'm also a bit suspicious of how well it actually handles 1080p 60 FPS over USB 2.0. You normally need USB 3.0 to get a 1080p 60 FPS feed that's stable.
quick tip, when you really need a monitor quick go to your thrift store and get yourself a cheap screen(15$) They are not the best, but they can serve to show chat and monitor your stream
try Filmora9 editing software by wondershare they have a free trial version that says if you export a video there will be a filmora watermark BUT I DL on a friends computer and there was no watermark so he pretty much got filmora9 for free instead of paying $50 for it the price is worth it tho!!! open it up press record beside the import button and choose either voice over, record screen or record webcam then another box will open up to let you select the camera you want to use another box to select what mic you want to use a box for picking your resolution and a box for frame rate... max is 30fps but i think if you buy filmora pro it goes up to 60 frs
I've personally been wondering if there's any budget cameras around the same price, that sacrifice the microphone and other non essential features, to increase the quality of the camera itself.
@@ItsRicoFinney really good so far. Just plug it in and it works. I’ve used it for streaming on twitch and webex and the picture quality is pretty good for the price.
The price on this right now at Walmart and Amazon is 79.99. So... I'd sooner go with the Logitech now because the Vitade's greatest feature, price, has been removed from the equation.
The Vitade 960a looks like a clone taken off the Razer Kio which is what I use. I would say the lens is a bit sharper with better definition on the Vitade 960. The Logitech 920 looks softer, colours are not as vibrant. The C920 is old, the better cam is the C922. The review would have been better testing a newer Logitech C930 against the Vitade 930. Some of the cheaper cams from China are going at a fraction of the cost which might be good if you do not want to pay over £100 for a new Logitech 930. I am trying this one A880 HD 12MP Webcam Camera, just to see what they are like, its only costing about £10 which look like a Logitech 920 camera.

Ya gotta love a review that mentions "low light" performance WITHOUT actually showing the low light performance. SAYING the ring light is there and serves no purpose without actually proving that fact as well as not providing the auto samples, is just irresponsible and lazy. Don't call it a "review" if your not actually willing to do the work of "reviewing".
I am not in the business of wasting your time with content that wont impact your decisions of the product. If you think a light 1 inch light and a small millimeter microphone capsule are going to improve your content look and sound...You have bigger problems. If you want a ring light style, buy a separate ring light - You want good audio, buy USB or XLR mic.
It zooms fine for me, using OBS (free), and OBS also makes any zoom and color adjustments stick when I use the webcam in other programs (Zoom, WebEx, Teams). Unfortunately most budget webcams (in fact most webcams at any price, other than Logitech or Avermedia) do not have proprietary driver interfaces, but I find OBS works for all of them. Some (like the Vitade) can zoom and manually focus, some cannot, but OBS will access whatever controls the webcam can handle: brightness, contrast, exposure, gain, hue, white balance, etc. I usually have to tweak these settings depending on whether I'm using WebEx, Teams, etc, and on conditions like time of day. But it's easy and I can do it in OBS after opening the other prog, e.g. WebEx. (The image won't appear in OBS if WebEx or Zoom, etc, is already using the camera, BUT, the "configure video" sliders in OBS will work to adjust the image in real time, in the other program.) Hope that helps.
It's a matter of taste, and tradeoff.
