This applies to the 2023 model corolla’s as well because I have a 2023 version. They share the same chassis and look exactly the same. The emergency break does engage automatically too. The only thing I don’t like about these newer Corollas is that if you plan on using the floor Jack in the front side, you have to go really deep in from the front. Cars weren’t like this before. Use to be much closer to the front. So to do an oil change, it’s better to lift from the passenger side than the front. I usually like lifting the whole front end up but this works too. Just temporarily on an awkward angle until the oil’s drained and filter/drain plug is put on. Then lower.
Wrong jack point on rear bro thats a plastic cover for your side skirt ... almost ruined mine doing it like that ... the rear point is about half a foot forward from there ... looks just like the front one ... no arrows just plain
The front jack point for a floor jack is the center of the three bolts you pointed out, according to the owner's manual. But yes, it seems pretty far in to get a jack in there, but can be done. My stands have the plastic covers over the saddle so there's no metal to metal contact with the underside of the vehicle. By the looks of the video, you're somewhere in NYC, possibly Brooklyn or Queens. I can't make out the dealer's license plate frame on the back as to where you got it, possibly looks like Plaza Toyota. I have a deposit on a 2024 Corolla XSE.
Good video, but you're resting the jack stands on the cover of the jack points. The part with the arrow is the cover, you pull it down and toward you. It reveals the metal jack point.
I want a 2020 toyota Corolla SE so bad ,because my jeep 2004 its just not for me its been nothing but a fixing mess.its eat gas up so fast. Its almost at 108500 miles and I'm racking up the miles on this car so much i go everywhere with this car.Its so far things are just failing little by little. And i have also come to terms with the fact that when this virus is all done and we are able to go outside and do are thing we all will be in a recession no matter what so BIG CARS SUV cars are the worst thing u would ever want for your life right now.Gas miles is the most important things in life.and reliability is key for a Toyota corolla.I got friends who have 300k miles on there corollas and they don't even have to replace anything but basic maintenance on there cars.So yeah im hope if all goes well i can get one soon.My birthday is right around the corner. It will be a gift to myself.
I could not agree more. Thank you for stopping by and expressing your feeling in todays times means alot to all. would you mind editing out a few things as they now bring in websites. towards the end, thanks.
@@towhee7472 Oh i wish i could sell my car.But the problem i got right now is the cars not in my name,I did something stupid i bought a car from my parents and they lost all the paper work so now the DMV is closed because of this virus and changing things all in my name could take months. Not only that it can cost money and more time. All in all tho i got other ideas. That being said not sure right now if its going to work.Im just going to stay on corse for right now drive the crap out of my old beat up jeep try not to get anything damaged even tho things are going on the car left and right.Im coming up to almost 109,000 miles on the car. That should happen any day now.

Please pin this to the top of the comments
i can confirm this, learned also the hard way xD
Yep, confirmed. I knocked it, and it is clearly plastic.
Thank you for pointing it out.

@@fishycomics Curiosity more than anything. My cars only go to the dealer for warranty work. I do everything else myself.
really helpful video, keep doing more videos like this! Thanks a lot.
thank you will do
Great video! Personally though I disabled the electronic e-brake so it only ever engages when I want it to.
How did you do that
Can you do a arm workout video to show us how you built those guns? Thanks!
Lol but thanks for the laughs
10:38: That look your geography teacher gives you when you giggle every time he says, "Lake Titicaca."
Love your t-shirt
man I get that from time to time thanks man

thank you many put wood between meta and metal on the jack.
LOVE your videos!
I did it today, I was a little afraid to bend those bars up front, but the jack doesn't reach the official point :(
Very clear and detailed. Thank you.
Big thank you , what. People love about me
Great video, everything seems the same way I would go about it besides the smaller jack stand but I saw no problem with it.
Another well-done lesson.
Good video man
Appreciate it
Still helping people 4 years later.
Always not just toyota
Thank you very much for this video!
Thanks
Can you show us the under carriage lift point when using a floor jack front and back for a 2019 / 2020 Toyota Hatchback.
Thanks
Do not own a Hatchback. but send one over.
@@fishycomics I do but I can't physically send you my car, was wondering if you ever came across one if you can do a video on the jack points.
Thanks
I did my jack point at the DOWN arrow you said at 2:23 and I broke it.. it's NOT a jackpoint I repeat don't use the down arrow as a jack oot
Page 506, 507 shows exactly where to jack, the plastic cover, protects the metal/ www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM02580U/pdf/OM02580U.pdf
@@fishycomics but that's not the place you said in the video/where you had put it in the actual video
@@jeremywright4185 Ite where it worked for me exactly where I pointed. I just went again to the car ,it is a plastic cover why there is an ARROW
@@fishycomics again?
The one with arrow is not the jack point. It is plastic. The point where he said “probably here” is the actual jack point.
Thanks for the video big help. Thumbs up on your tee shirt too!
Yeah that Sis got for me Love the shirt, she was down at South Carilona seen it and I wear it most the time
Thanks. @10:40 I like your T-shirt.

just sell it, get a good, young used corolla. It is better to end with a shock, than to have a never ending nightmare.

I was just changing my oil & that broad kicked my camera.
oh man sorry to hear that
That NY accent.
I just cringed when at 8:34 you put your finger between the car and the jack stand.
Lol
Thanks Andrew Cuomo!
You should take this video down. I haven't seen anything in it that would suggest you used correct information.
Sure will do thanks for your opinion
