Takeaway from this situation: If you yourself are self reliant, or if you’re part of a community that is prepared to be self reliant during a local or regional emergency the government sees you as a threat to their power and control. Simply by being self reliant they see you as a threat.
I used to work teaching a lot of the skills Mike does, years ago at a wilderness survival skills camp. We worked with a lot of children and families. Primitive tools, camping/bushcraft, emergency response/first aid, wild edible/medicinal plants, stealth/movement, situational awareness, teamwork, leadership, food processing, etc. If you asked me back then if any of that could be flagged as DOMESTIC TERRORISM, I would've laughed my ass off and told you take off your tin foil hat. The director and staff often leaned slightly left, but that was irrelevant. The work had NOTHING to do with politics. It wasn't "militant" in the slightest, it was about community, connection, practical skills, nature, and the real world. It seems quite clear by now that community isn't something our government actually wants to promote, and in some cases ALLOW...absolute insanity. There's a great need for the stuff Mike is doing. Politics shouldn't mean a damn thing when it comes to survival and protecting your community. The fact people can make this a political issue just because he's a veteran and works with firearms is really sad. Seen far too many apologists for this behavior from the government by naive political types because of that. That kind of thinking is almost as scary as the government's, here, and the ignorance of certain citizens will only enable more of it.

In Canada, a law was passed very quietly in 2018 or 19, where the police can show up at your door and demand a field sobriety test, if you can't prove you WEREN'T driving in the previous 2 hours. If you refuse, you get arrested for resistance, and if you blow over the legal limit, you get arrested, lose your license, car and possibly your house. It happens something like this: a cop sees you leaving the beer store with a case and watches you put it in the back seat or trunk, while running your plates. He gets your address and waits for about an hour then knocks on your door. He states that they had a complaint of erratic driving and someone took down your tag and here they are. Of course, by this time, you've probably had a couple of cold ones and will blow over. So you refuse to blow at first. You tell him you got home forty five minutes ago and you had your first drink when you got home and have only had two beer. The cop explains that if you can't prove you were sober at the time of the complaint and refuse to blow now, you'll be arrested for resisting and DUI. How do you prove you were sober an hour ago? So you blow, thinking that two beer won't put you over, but it does and you get arrested for DUI and lose your car, license possibly your home and job. That scenario happened to an elderly gentleman in Ontario after he took in some empties and picked up a six pack just after lunch-time. The cops did exactly what I described above but the man put up a verbal fight and refused to blow, got arrested, taken to jail. He was charged with all kinds of stuff because he gave them a hard time; resisting, assault, drunken behaviour...stuff like that. He of course denied it all and when they forced him to blow because he was under arrest, he did. He had no trace of alcohol in his system. So they checked his blood for drugs and again found nothing, not even aspirin. The guy was in his 70's!! They had to let him go. He went straight to the press and that was when Canadians first found out that we're slowly turning into a fascist country with a complete moron for a leader. Good times! PEACE!

That isn’t what happened and Mike knows that. He posted a video on Instagram a few years ago explaining why he shutdown the American Contingency website. Yeah I’ve actually grown a huge distain for SF guys and this from a guy who was infantry 12 of my 16 years and even tried out for SF a year into my career but wansnt selected. I'd contend that the "preppers = terrorists" trope was a thing from the get-go. As long as I can remember preppers (they used to be called "survivalists") were always portrayed as nefarious people. The mainstream shows that had preppers as the focus were used to ridicule or revile the concept of preparedness and anyone who participated in it.

I'm in a AI and national security course in grad school right now and what Mike is describing with the article seeming like it was written by AI is very likely true. It's also very likely the FBI and/or Meta/Facebook, through AI, came to their determination by the AI using pattern recognition using a dataset that the FBI input into the test samples that helps the AI learn what is a domestic terrorist. Things like ex-military/LE, gun advocate, knife skills, hunting, gathers groups of people, etc. The issue with supervised AI learning is that is fallible to the biases of the humans who input the datasets and write the algorithms. It's entirely plausible he got labeled not specifically by the human who sent the "black list" to Meta but rather that the human trusted the list the AI generated.

Man.. I been getting wrongfully charged with crap since I was a kid. There are 3 major events in my life of being forced to accept charges because i could not afford a lawyer and my parents couldn't afford a lawyer.. This whole system is so fugged up, I believe anyone that talks about school or govt local state or federal, problems, that they didn't have before an encounter with cops. 😅Homeland Insecurity labeled me a “potential terror threat” when I was attempting to board a plane to Okinawa. Only problem was I was a DOD Investigator traveling on official business with a diplomatic passport and I had a federal badge and ID. I was denied the ability to board. I had to get the Captain of the aircraft involved to get on board. Homeland Insecurity has only gotten worse. This happened several years ago.

Mike Glover is a real-life special forces war hero from the GWOT as well as served as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He retired from the military with honor. The way that he is being treated by our government/ FBI is a complete miscarriage of justice. I have had to prove I wasn’t somewhere, twice in almost 20 years. If I didn’t happen to buy something from where I was and had receipts. I would have been charged with multiple felony charges. I 've been following this guy since back when he made the American Contingency Network. Thought it was a cool idea, particularly for people who live in areas where they have too many neighbors to get along with everyone (a majority of people know what this is like), or around places where they feel it would be smart to have a group of people they could rely/fall back on if shit hits the fan. Takeaway from this situation: If you yourself are self reliant, or if you’re part of a community that is prepared to be self reliant during a local or regional emergency the government sees you as a threat to their power and control. Simply by being self reliant they see you as a threat.
I used to work teaching a lot of the skills Mike does, years ago at a wilderness survival skills camp. We worked with a lot of children and families. Primitive tools, camping/bushcraft, emergency response/first aid, wild edible/medicinal plants, stealth/movement, situational awareness, teamwork, leadership, food processing, etc. If you asked me back then if any of that could be flagged as DOMESTIC TERRORISM, I would've laughed my ass off and told you take off your tin foil hat. The director and staff often leaned slightly left, but that was irrelevant. The work had NOTHING to do with politics. It wasn't "militant" in the slightest, it was about community, connection, practical skills, nature, and the real world.
It seems quite clear by now that community isn't something our government actually wants to promote, and in some cases ALLOW...absolute insanity. There's a great need for the stuff Mike is doing. Politics shouldn't mean a damn thing when it comes to survival and protecting your community. The fact people can make this a political issue just because he's a veteran and works with firearms is really sad. Seen far too many apologists for this behavior from the government by naive political types because of that. That kind of thinking is almost as scary as the government's, here, and the ignorance of certain citizens will only enable more of it.

In Canada, a law was passed very quietly in 2018 or 19, where the police can show up at your door and demand a field sobriety test, if you can't prove you WEREN'T driving in the previous 2 hours. If you refuse, you get arrested for resistance, and if you blow over the legal limit, you get arrested, lose your license, car and possibly your house.
It happens something like this: a cop sees you leaving the beer store with a case and watches you put it in the back seat or trunk, while running your plates. He gets your address and waits for about an hour then knocks on your door.
He states that they had a complaint of erratic driving and someone took down your tag and here they are. Of course, by this time, you've probably had a couple of cold ones and will blow over. So you refuse to blow at first.
You tell him you got home forty five minutes ago and you had your first drink when you got home and have only had two beer.
The cop explains that if you can't prove you were sober at the time of the complaint and refuse to blow now, you'll be arrested for resisting and DUI.
How do you prove you were sober an hour ago? So you blow, thinking that two beer won't put you over, but it does and you get arrested for DUI and lose your car, license possibly your home and job.
That scenario happened to an elderly gentleman in Ontario after he took in some empties and picked up a six pack just after lunch-time.
The cops did exactly what I described above but the man put up a verbal fight and refused to blow, got arrested, taken to jail. He was charged with all kinds of stuff because he gave them a hard time; resisting, assault, drunken behaviour...stuff like that.
He of course denied it all and when they forced him to blow because he was under arrest, he did. He had no trace of alcohol in his system. So they checked his blood for drugs and again found nothing, not even aspirin. The guy was in his 70's!!
They had to let him go.
He went straight to the press and that was when Canadians first found out that we're slowly turning into a fascist country with a complete moron for a leader.

That isn’t what happened and Mike knows that. He posted a video on Instagram a few years ago explaining why he shutdown the American Contingency website. Because it was becoming a gathering place for crazy militia types and he said he didn’t want his name associated with that stuff. I’m sure that is why the FBI looked into them. I'd contend that the "preppers = terrorists" trope was a thing from the get-go. As long as I can remember preppers (they used to be called "survivalists") were always portrayed as nefarious people. The mainstream shows that had preppers as the focus were used to ridicule or revile the concept of preparedness and anyone who participated in it.

I personally am going through this right now. Could not even get a response from any company for a job position in more than 6 years. I'm in a AI and national security course in grad school right now and what Mike is describing with the article seeming like it was written by AI is very likely true. It's also very likely the FBI and/or Meta/Facebook, through AI, came to their determination by the AI using pattern recognition using a dataset that the FBI input into the test samples that helps the AI learn what is a domestic terrorist. Things like ex-military/LE, gun advocate, knife skills, hunting, gathers groups of people, etc. The issue with supervised AI learning is that is fallible to the biases of the humans who input the datasets and write the algorithms. It's entirely plausible he got labeled not specifically by the human who sent the "black list" to Meta but rather that the human trusted the list the AI generated.

I have had to prove I wasn’t somewhere, twice in almost 20 years. If I didn’t happen to buy something from where I was and had receipts. I would have been charged with multiple felony charges. I 've been following this guy since back when he made the American Contingency Network. Thought it was a cool idea, particularly for people who live in areas where they have too many neighbors to get along with everyone (a majority of people know what this is like), or around places where they feel it would be smart to have a group of people they could rely/fall back on if shit hits the fan.
NOTHING in this network of people was like some kind of militia, politically centered, or spewing extremist beliefs. It was basically a networking tool for people who were fans of Mike and his channel to get to know each other around their own areas.
