first skull is a domestic dog. big giveaway is a sharp dip in the forehead, coyotes and bears are much flatter. sounds like he was a stray or someone buried their friend back there a long time ago :)

12:48 I make a lot of terrariums and there should be more layers of dirt and rocks in it to filter the water.
The layers go rocks, charcoal, dirt, and THEN moss or other plants. It helps to filter out the water so that the moss isn’t soaking in nasty water

How awesome!! I feel like having kids is a parents way of living their childhood dreams again. I love teaching my kids to love all the same things I did (and still do). I guess that’s another reason parents are blessed by their kids. Luckily my kids have embraced it all with open arms 🥰

I suggest getting the book 'Animal Skulls: A Guide to North American Species' by Mike Elbroch. Its $40 and the quality and content surpasses the price by far, it could easily sell for $80. Elbroch is a conservationist that specializes in Mountain Lion social organization (see his talks on you tube), he also has a great book on tracking and one on the cougar (mountain lion)

I know this is an older video, but that skull is definitely a domestic dog! Looks identical to one of mine. I also have a few coyotes and three bear species, and this is not any of those.

Interesting!! I have not had anyone claim mine to be a dog before but I know dogs and coyotes have very similar skulls. Thank you for the tip!
