Thank You for this review much appreciated
No problem man 👍
Nice! Thanks for taking the time to cover fan noise
its a very quiet fan at 40%. I had a Sapphire Nitro + 7900XTX and at 35% you can hear a small whining whirl which was annoying so I returned it. This sounds a lot quieter.
I ordered the same ....from 3070 ti.....I hope this is a good VGA.....
Thanks for the video man.
I am considering this card to upgrade from my rx580 which is also sapphire pulse.
Mine card sounds like a jet under gaming load as well :-/ It also has issues with zero rpm: when the option in drivers is turned on(it's turned on by default) and pc is idle with screen turned off, the card occasionally ramps up rpm to its max(which gave me jumps multiple times because it's freaking loud).
I wonder does your card have the same issue with zero rpm?
Apart from that my pulse card is great and serves me 5th year, so you've chosen a good card 👍
i have actually never tested it. I use afterburner with a custom fan curve profile on all my cards :)
@@AeroFix94 took the page from your book and started using custom fan curve with my card. I've also repasted my card, as it's been 5 years since I've got it. Now in furmark rpm stays around 1900 and temps are 68, which is amazing.
So thanks for the idea, dunno why I've never used custom curves. I also can recommend fan control app(it's literally how it's called), because it allows you to tie case fan curve to your gpu temps. You can set it up to match max temp on gpu or cpu. It helped me to reduce gpu fans rpm under load.
I've checked your other videos and 2600 rpm under load is quite loud, so now I've changed my mind and considering against this card 😅
Is it very loud under gaming? Have you tried to undervolt the card to reduce temps while maintaining the same perf level?
@@ErraticSun i use headphones so i dont hear my pc during gaming.
I did it in the beginning when i got the card, but some games didnt like it etc so i just reverted everything to stock :)
Hey i've got 6650 xt pulse, the noise level is quite identical to your model, thing is that my fans at 2000-2400rpm start to make some kind of turbulent noise(idk how to explain, sound level is same but there is some kind of variations in sound), there is no fans below gpu, did not had that problem with old gigabyte eagle 6600 non xt.
i think its the cooler design from Sapphire. It has some kind of a resonance sound
@@AeroFix94 Hey, you are right some people told me its kinda normal, i got 1 more question, since i am getting 90+c junk temp, even with -100 undervolt, should i lower my clocks a bit? Mine boost clocks at default settings are set to around 2777, while on sapphire and any other AIB boost clocks are around 2630-2699 range
@@galee4253 yes you can try to put the clocks back to stock and see if it gets better
Weird question, but do you have every pcie pin connected in the slot? I can't seem to fit in the last two slot one but all seems to be working fine
hmm, you mean the power cables???
@@AeroFix94 yea
@@jamie56k Yes. All three needs to be connected
Hey Fix. I recently switched to the same graphics card. This 'whining', which starts aroud 60% - is that normal? I've got that too...
seems to be the cooler and the fan designs sadly :(
Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XTX Pulse Gaming OC is so loud like a turbine....
Thank you, do you thinkl I should buy 7900 xtx pulse or nitro+ with 150 usd difference?
150 USD difference!!? Are you sure you're not speaking of XT vs XTX??
@@AeroFix94 yes I’m sure, xt model is actually 100 bucks cheaper than xtx pulse and 250 cheaper than nitro +, that’s why I’m asking
@@marqubit1359 so you talking about the XT vs XTX then? I would say grab the XTX.
Men that’s INSANELY noisy 💀💀💀
Anything above 60% yeah indeed. But i try to keep it at 60 at least :)
So do these not have RGB, or are they just turned off?
this one does not. Only the Nitro+ do
From what I've seen from review videos. If you have good airflow and decent ambients, the card runs around 1400-1700rpm full load. Even with an OC.
Honestly that's pretty quiet. More quiet than the Asus tuff 4070 TI super. Which sucks btw. 7900xt is better.
What's the difference between this model and nitro+? And what is the temperature of the hot spot?
nitro+ has higher clocks, rgb, bigger cooler overall
@@AeroFix94 WHAT IS THE TEMP AND NOISE DIFFERENCE WE ASKED YOU
@@yeshuayahushua4338 you are literally watching the video showing the noise and fan speed. Watch my gaming videos for real temps :)
@@AeroFix94 :)
@@AeroFix94 Thats what He asked and you just cannot handle it
Have you had any temp issues with this card? Reportedly this card is normally close to the 110c limit when gaming, but so are many of the 7900xtx variations. It seems to be the norm.
Its only on MBA cards. Not 3rd pary coolers like Sapphire Pulse etc.
"so are many of the 7900 xtx variations" bro where did you get that info from, Only the Reference card have that issue.
I recently got this same GPU and it doesn't go over 70C while gaming. Also running 5120x1440 ultrawide and mostly play the new COD MW3 also on extreme settings....haven't seen it higher than 70C at all. I also have really good case fans too so maybe that helps
Mine hits between 75-85c. Thats 4k 120hz gaming on stock with a clock speed 2600-2800. It's a little louder than i would like but then i do leave the fans on auto. Found the card to be a bit too tempramental to overclock and underclock (even using the presets ones)
How loud is the coil whine while gaming ?
Fans seem to have a terrible resonance noise starting from 60%, that’s a shame :(
Thank you !
No coilwhine yet :)
Yeah its kinda terrible if you dont have headphones on :P
@@AeroFix94 thanks for your answer ! Did you try to undervolt the card to lower power consumption ?
@@nicoyt9481 Yes. Everything is in the description :)
@@AeroFix94 oh sorry I didn't read :)
But you pushed it to 2925hz, it'll sure be noisy :p
Would you please do a test for me ? Does it become silent if you cap it to 2400 core ?
Would be great, and i'm about to purchase it ;)
Thanks !
@@nicoyt9481 As longs as you keep it under 60% fan speed it will be quiet. But leaving it at 2400 at max will make the card perform much worse, But lower temps and noise of course. But leaving alot of performance on the table. Just by undervolting it will reduce the temps and wattage usage quiet a bit
70% is gaming load?!? Can you play at 1300 rpm but on stock and not OC?
the card will reach 70-75c at such a low rpm. At least for me. So i have a custom fan curve that will keep the card at 60-65c. Its louder but its cooler :)
@@AeroFix94 I wouldn't mind 75c as long as the fan noise is like the 40% at most.
Hi, I've just bought one of those and the middle fan seems to be not working, it doesn't spin on boot and I tried some tests but didnt have enough time
Is it normal that the middle one doesn't spin like the two others? Does it start spinning at higher temperature? Sorry for the dumb question
have you tried to set the fan speed manually in the software?
@@AeroFix94 I've just tried several tests but nothing could make it spin, I guess there is indeed a problem somewhere... I'm not sure what it could be exactly but as I have a lot of fans I couldn't make it go past 68 degrees despite a lot of stress tests so I guess it's not too problematic even if really frustrating
I tried to find somewhere to manually make it spin but didnt really find tbh as it's just one of the three fans on the card
I don't know a lot about all that and was really excited about my first really good build :(
And I was mistaken, I have the XT not the XTX
@@martinben-hamou7494 i do know that the fans wont spin until its get hot. But it sounds weird if the middle fan isnt spinning at all.
@@AeroFix94 yes I still have a slight doubt that if it goes to 70 degrees it could magically start to spin, but as it is new and with 12 other fans (I kinda went for the overkill with this one...) I couldn't go past 68
But it still seems weird that nothing made it spin, or at least that it does not spin at boot
But again as I don't have a lot of knowledge on all this I struggle to understand the problem
Your answers are much appreciated :)
@@martinben-hamou7494 Maybe the XT has a different firmware for the fan speeds :) Try to turn off your intake fans on the case and force it to go over 70 and see if it starts to spin :)
is it too loud ?
Its alright around 60-70%. Its were it usually stays with my fan curve.
@@AeroFix94 it’s still loud, are all the rx 7900 xtx’s like this
@@TRYno397 no i guess not. It depends on what card you get of course :)
@@AeroFix94 did you change the fan curve ?
@@TRYno397 i use an manual curve yes :)
Def fan curve stays around 40-50% most of the time
What about the bottleneck with 5800x?
Just a little bit in some games :P
@@AeroFix94 which model is cooler? Reference or pulse?
no bottleneck at 4k with mine.
@@automobilesmonaco6884 thats because of 4K res. i Play 1440P :P
