Just got my first printer....ET5X is the dude... just beginning in this world, so your video was the first ive watched about Cura as well. Looking forward to the modifications you make to it to make it better. Already had a bunch of clogging so an all metal heat break is coming from amazon.

Glad you got the printer. Really sorry that it’s clogging. What filament in settings are you using? Since you mentioned my video, I’m guessing similar but it doesn’t hurt to double check.

@@HLModTech well, so far ive only printed the stock items on the card from the factory. Heat and such is the same...but speed wasnt. Regardless though, in trying to tighten up the bowden connector i twisted it right off. Junk. I have new ones, but it only works with the all metal heat break as it wont let the bowden tube go through the end of it, just TO the end.

@@LeeWinkler A trick I have used with those types of bowden connectors is to insert a piece that fits directly in the hotend and cut it off flush. I then take an x-acto knife and make the opening a bit like a funnel. Now I can add the new bowden coupler and attach part 2 of the bowden to it.

@@HLModTech I had considered that, but my new all metal heatbreak was on the way already. I decided not to waste anymore time on it. Should be delivered today. Future mods include octoprint for sure. Then we will see if its worthy of spending money on upgrades or just being a so so printer.

@@HLModTech First thing, I got that little trick to work, so i think im good. Now Cura is my problem. im using the profile for my printer but whatever I slice it does the same thing: The print head moves up about 10 cm and the bed makes about 10 micro movements....and then it says print complete. Help!

Great video. I'm somehow still having an issue. I am able to print the files that are preloaded to the SD card by the manufacturer. Every time i put a new file on the SD card, (using cura, with all the same settings you motioned in this video) the progress bar races through to 100, and says the print is done, but no print happened, and no movement . have you seen this before? I fell like I'm missing a a setting on the cura end. I have the most current version 4.12. PLEASE SEND HELP.

Yes, I have seen that before. Switching SD cards can help. Also make sure your eject the SD card safely. I believe the file is corrupted and that is why we see that behavior.

@@HLModTech thank you for the reply, I'll try that. Anet is not very helpful

@@samhain5965 My pleasure. The fastest way to get a response from Anet is via Facebook Groups. Or... maybe it is just support that feels that it is from Anet...

What type of filament are you using? Are you saying you cannot remove them from the bed or cut them away from the print? Thanks for the kudos and I appreciate the sub too. 💯👍
