- Who spotted Frank Robert James first? That’s the question on the minds of many after several sharp-eyed citizen sleuths said they saw the suspected Brooklyn subway shooter wandering Manhattan’s East Village and alerted the NYPD. After police declared the 62-year-old a suspect in Tuesday’s mass shooting that saw 10 people shot and 13 others injured, a $50,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest and indictment. Photography student Jack Griffin, 17, was on a field trip with his class when he said he spotted James.

For WHAT? Being an adorable prepster? The said thing is that WILL get him recognition and money!
Isn’t it kinda dangerous to put the kid on blast who turned him in? Just for safety. You don’t know who people know. I just hope he is safe 🖤
They should give the $50,000 to everyone that was proven to have seen him. The city has enough money. Splitting the money would be unfair, and not giving anyone the money would just disincentivize people from ever reporting violent criminals again.
Cuz giving away city funds to everybody that crossed his path makes much more sense than investing those funds into more subway police & safety. 🤔
It doesn’t matter who sees him.
The reward offer specifically says that it is exclusively to TIPS that lead to an arrest
That’s probably 10+ at LEAST people with photo evidence that they saw him, $500,000 reward money for several people who’s tips didn’t even lead up to the arrest? That’s ridiculous. Yes.
The perpetrator of a crime shouldn't get rewarded for turning himself in. Leniency MAYBE but a cash reward? Let's just set a precedent for committing terrible crimes and turning yourself in to cash into not only a taxpayer funded stay in the jail but also a cash reward for committing the crime and making it hard to find you until you turn yourself in.
@@Teenage_Mutant_Ginga_Ninja Tell that to Kyle Rittenhouse or Dillan Roof. Perhaps, we won't have anymore trips to burger king for shooting innocent people.

Yeah maybe sign it into legislature that rewards for a task remain unclaimed can go to charity. Preppy little teen deserves it as much as anyone else.
They had a reward for a thing, he did the thing first. If there's competition between who was first let them settle it themselves. They had 50k to give someone who turned him in. People tried to turn him in (even himself but that's just what he chose to do). The people who were giving the 50k reward rely on people knowing they'll get the money for turning someone in. If they start offering it and not giving it when it's decently justified they risk ruining any business in the future.
You're allowed to be upset however you see fit. Common sense still exists regardless. I hope it doesn't smack you in the head one day. People also did help get him captured, even the police claim who was the first and most helpful. It's talked about in the video. You're just salty nobody is giving you anything ever.
