- Lauren Elizabeth Cutshaw begged for mercy after being placed under arrest in South Carolina recently, telling cops, “I’m a pretty girl. Please, don't make me go in there.” Cutshaw was initially pulled over for speeding through a stop sign and later arrested after failing a field sobriety test. As she was placed in a police cruiser, Cutshaw sobbed and rattled off the list of reasons she shouldn't be put behind bars. “I graduated from a really good, a really good university,” said Cutshaw. #InsideEdition

Then she proceeded to behave like an imbecile in front of a cop who acted professionally and carefully documented these facts. HOW IN HELL did she get off with a $187.00 fine? I've paid speeding tickets higher than that, and the average cost of a first DUI in my state is $1500, and that's without the high alcohol level and the drug evidence! Oh wait, it's South Carolina, and there's no way the state judicial discipline committee would investigate a judge who approved this "plea deal." The breath test and the stop sign weren't the only things that were blown. Cases like this make me ashamed to be in the legal profession.
