Ikr so hard to tell lately lmao I guess it is tho, verses sound modern, voice kinda rough around the edges. But the lyrics are straight up fire! Example of ai applied correctly
Companies really are out here like “I refuse to hire enough people to actually run my store because it’s cheaper to hire half the staff needed and never allow them to call off and overwork them with the work of 3 people for the pay of 1”
I feel like my company has really reduced the available amount of work hours for the store after the pandemic. After seeing their stores running on skeleton crews due to so many quitting their jobs back then and still be operating despite everyone hanging on by the skin of their teeth.
Where used to work retail I was the sole person running the entire floor of the store with a single manager in the back as last resort backup who was always busy with running the backside of the store to help anyways (also all by themselves). They expected one person to individually scan every customer out at the self checkout station (we had a problem with stealing because of the whole “one employee must watch the entire store but they also aren’t allowed to leave the front” thing so all the self checkouts were closed aside from the one where the cashier was supposed to manually scan everyone out.) corporate never figured out that people weren’t stealing at the self checkouts, they were stealing in the isles where literally no employees were gonna be to stop them. And honestly? The people who stole? Good on them, genuinely at that point the company is asking for it, maybe man your god damn store and people won’t be incentivized to steal your garbage. All we sold was cheap trash designed to break in 3 months anyways, along with maybe 1 or 2 actually solid products. But I feel like it’s all part of the company strategy, the company still saves money in the end because everything that got stolen was cheap trash that costs pennies on the dollar for what we sell it for whereas even though what they pay their employees is far from acceptable it’s still more expensive than whatever trash gets stolen from the store. I just don’t understand how people will spend hours and hours defending these kinds of practices even though they are objectively just terrible for everyone involved except for whatever bozo shareholders are laughing at us for putting up with these standards.
“Why do we even have sick days if we can’t ever use em?” That part is straight up truth. Well sorry if I can’t control my body from getting ill at a time of your convenience so you don’t have to worry about finding coverage. About as a dumb as when managers get mad at you wanting to use your vacation hours, so they have to pick up the extra slack.
As Fallout 4 puts it: using your vacation days is frowned upon, but its fun to collect them Dont remember the exact line, but either way i thought it was hilarious
I tore my achilles tendon, limped into work and boss didn’t care, didn’t even ask what happened. So I stood up for myself and said I wasn’t able to work and I was going home. Next day I told the shop owner I wasn’t coming back due to my injury 🎉 That was a year ago, I now have my own small business and the only thing I wish I had done differently was send them this song! 😂
I remember calling in sick once with the flu. I could barely stand and had all the flu symptoms, but my boss didn't consider for even a second that I might be telling the truth. I hung up on him because I had to get to the toilet. Karma came later when he and his boyfriend were arrested for stealing money from the store.
Hands up for who has called off just for a breather.......or you had something way better to do.......or a shit for a boss. This is the jam for all us working class folk.
I was so pissed when I got off work today, I was breathing heavily and my knuckles were popping when my hands were clenching. Thought I could listen to some music to calm me down on the way home and realize that I'm just overreacting. I saw this on my recommendations and I'm not even kidding, I went from pissed off to laughing and smiling on the way back home. Beautiful song, thank you so much this made me happy within minutes! 😄👍
At first I found this song hilarious, but then it hit me in the feelings as it's just too personal and guess reality for a lot of us working folk. At any rate, great song.
Fun fact: Every single member of Quarter Brown and the Dollar Thrills was eaten by wolves; 2 in Norway in 1979, 1 was eaten in Alaska 1983 and the final member fell into an enclosure at Edinburgh zoo in 1999.
This hits me hard. Work at a liquor warehouse and the one time I had to go on light duty I got treated like shit. So I've had a couple times I've injured myself where I haven't because I honestly think they'd try to just fire me. Last time was because I didn't call in sick and worked sick because of this exact attitude and fucked my back up time before I sprained my foot and called in because my shit was so swollen after working on it I could barely even walk and I've gotten punished both times for missing one fucking day in ways that just made my injuries worse. Hopefully one day karma will come back to bite these scumbags who don't even register you as a person in the ass.
I had vertigo and constant migraines for a week straight, worse week ever and I STILL went to work. The funniest part is I still worked faster than my coworker at the time (he works different hours than me now). Pat you are a slow man.
Reminds me of the Reverend Horton Heat song "Calling in Twisted". Certainly go together, this one is clearly for getting ready for the call in, and "Calling in Twisted" is for after.

Almost Vinyl writes all the lyrics. They have a disclaimer in the description. "**All lyrics - for this and all content on the channel - written by Almost Vinyl"
@@MGrace-jy1tg Yeah, I know. But that still doesn't answer the question of was it an actual person who wrote the words 100% on their own, or was it a person who used an AI program to write the words, by giving it prompts?
@@AlmostVinyl I wish you could get some real singers to actually perform some of these songs live. I have a feeling that could be the next big thing. Making them come in so they can make both the rest of the staff and even your customers sick too!
This song caught the essence of about 10 consecutive decades.

National anthem for retail workers everywhere
Don't forget, blue-collar workers.

I unironically need an actual singer to cover this because it's goated.
I would love to Karaoke this. Everyone would clap!
This is an example of turning your struggles into art. It's like the uploader wrote what they want to say to their boss when calling-in. 😂

" He dressed the bare minimum. Meanin’ mostly bare and barely minimum." The description bring me to tears thank you x)
This was his follow up hit to “Don’t Test Me Bitch.” Man, he was on such a roll Elvis eventually gave up and faked his death on the toilet.
I take the train to work
Someone sprayed on the wall of a warehouse nearby the tracks "CALL IN SICK"
