- This is easily my favorite interview I've done about my friendship with these geese, not only did they take my ramblings and turn it into a coherent story, but they also found the perfect videos from my channel to go along with it. Thanks to the great people @We_Love_Animals for allowing me to share it in my channel.
Animals are honest, they either love you or they don't, but when they do, they love you to death. So to have that affection and trust from them is truly one of the most precious experiences ever
Lol
True friendships between your Comrade animals last longer than the universe
True! Had a cockatiel, and she would literally jump on me with happy squeaks every time i come back home. You could tell she really liked me.
Sadly, she passed away year ago, but i'll always remember her as a loving, yet very cocky cockatiel, who would come to me every time i called her. Rest in peace, Alex

I had a garden gecko a few years ago. He had a broken leg and me and my mom fixed it with small bandage. After biting me 18 times he suddenly became quiet and then even tried to snuggle under my collar. After all this he became a really beloved member of my family until his curiosity got the best of him and he leaped from 3 storeys onti hard concrete. Rest in peace jimmy, you were a lizard with more human emotion than my own neighbors.
Lol
Im sorry for your loss but i find it funny and i do regret that i do that it jumped from 3 storeys just because it got curious. Nah id win personality
was its name George by chance? cute how you domesticated a garden gecko bu just letting it bite you 18 times while your mother bandaged it up.
A wonderful story. I love this
Thanks so much :) You can watch all the short clips of Sam running towards me growing up as well : ruclips.net/video/hp5l2Gnt2_I/видео.html
I love when that little fluff ball came running at you with those little wings sticking out! 😊😊 The relationship you have with them is just so precious! Thank you so much for sharing your story with the world! 🥰🥰
I'm so glad so many people have enjoyed our little friendship :)
@@SullivansGoose It's actually a very big friendship, friendship you won't even find with people. Thank you so much 🙏
I mean what more can a man want in life? but know of a true family he never knew he had
"They don't move fast for anything, but that move fast for me." AHHHHHHHHJ 🥹🥹🥹
I had a pet goose as a child and seeing this fills my mind with so many wonderful memories I hope you and your geese go on to create just as amazing memories and have just as much fun together
Thanks so much :)
I grew up arround geese. Always had a lot of them when i was still in school. Best feeling is when you got the mom, dad, and 6 of those lil flufballs running to you when you get back from school. Good Times
Congratulations, you are now a disney princess!
lol, yay
I've missed seeing your interactions with your pals at Sullivan's Pond! I dig what you mean. Replacing less-than-satisfying human interactions with the company of chickens, now five of them, has saved me from just giving up and letting go. Birds don't know from social awkwardness--they just know who's cool with them and who isn't. When you prove yourself enough to cross that line and get accepted by a flock, it's a thrill that warms your soul. It's so sweet to see Sam growing up in seconds. That one huge greeting she gives you knocks me out every time!
I may always have to have my guard up a little bit physically when it comes to Geese, but it sure is nice not to need the social one up.
I love this! I have hens, and they run up to me and follow me around. I read that they can recognize up to 100 different human faces.
It's always a wonderous feeling to be accepted by a group for being yourself.
Dude should've named that gosling "Ryan"
This is so touching. I recently, a few months ago, was given 3 Turkey poults to babysit, the eldest was 2 days old, the middle was 1 day old, and the youngest was 12 hours old. My intuition told me that the eldest was a boy, we named him Elvis, the second we weren’t sure about, so we named her Bilbo, the youngest I felt was a female so I named her Brown Sugar. Sugar looked very different from the other 2, they were classic broad-breasted bronze looking ones. Sugar on the other hand was the perfect cross between a Sweet grass and a broad breasted bronze. She was a mousy brown, but she had the beautiful wing zebra stripes that bronzes have. They cried when we weren’t with them. We discovered Bilbo was female and renamed her Priscilla, after Elvis Presleys wife. We planned to keep Elvis. However, we were moving and couldn’t have a Tom where we were going, so we decided to keep Sugar instead. When the owners came back after 2 months for the other 2, they wanted Sugar, the pretty runt, however, sugar was imprinted on us more so than the other 2 and cried when we left her for more than a minute. I put my foot down and said we were keeping her. They eventually agreed. Poor sugar had never been without her older siblings and cried (in Turkey) for the next 48 hours she was with our old hens. Now Sugar is 4 months old and thinks she’s a dog, she comes when we call her and loves coming inside for snuggles.
Animals will never betray a man. If an animal loves you, then you know it's real and pure. Seeing a flock of geese warm up to a human enough to trust them with their only child, that is special. Enchanting, in a way. 😃
It’s so cute to see the wings go up. It’s like a child running towards their parents with their hands up excited.
When you said ''I'm not a people person'' I felt that.
Animals never lie. They are with you because they genuinely want to be so you can be sure that sam loves you with all of her heart. And when you gain that type of love it will last forever
I F#cking love GEESE!Grew up with them, raised them and visited many a park to interact and share with family.Your a lucky man,I'd love to go and see and spend time with some.Im gonna look into that, thanx for rekindling my passion.
"I'm not a people person. There's something just so honest about animals . . ."
Oh honey, I couldn't agree more with that. Humans come with (usually) self-inflicted baggage, biases, and mind games. Animals don't. They are such pure creatures.
1:02 Sam looks so majestic!
The internet absolutely needs more of this and less of anything else you can find online! Lovely story.
This is so adorable and heartwarming. I have pigeons and they may look identical but if you look for long enough, they are different with unique personalities. So beautiful ❤
As a lover of ducks and geese, this warms my heart. 💜
Thanks for the joy that you bring me.
A pleasure :)
I have a very similar bond with a feral flock of pigeons at my local lake! Geese and pigeons are so misunderstood and highly underrated. It truly is magical to have such a close bond with a baby, modern day dinosaur!
I'd rather be with a flock of pigeons, than a group of humans. I know what you mean, when you say your heart warms when the flock comes to you. If even one pigeon spots me, the message is sent that I've arrived, and the entire flock flies to me - it's thee best feeling in the whole world! My heart smiles, even when I don't want to, when I'm with my pigeons.
I hope you and your baby dinosaurs have the best of times together. Thank-you for caring for these misunderstood babies! Bird people are special people.
This made me cry ITS SO WHOLESOME!!!
Finally... it's here
2:10 it’s like they are the Air Force and you are a wanted criminal “I do believe I have been spotted” is also the perfect line for that 😂
I used to have geese when I lived with my foster family in a farm house they are lovely animals
What a wonderful bond you have with all of them. It’s truly special ❤
Yay! Welcome back Doug!
Thank you :) Still here, just had a project I hope will save lives that took most of my focus this year.
My favourite part about the original growing up with Sam vid was just how the trill was consistent despite Sams growth and vocal change, she developed a trill just to greet her favourite friend
Amazing Video
The only goose I knew always bit me in my arse when going past it
This made my day, happy flappy baby goose
I love geese!!!
What a wonderful video 🥹 This warms my heart so much, thank you for sharing all your goose experiences!! I’m so happy for you having this journey with the geese, it’s so special.
Thank you so much!

i'm from dartmouth, i really love how you document these geese that are such a big part of our local culture here! i hope you continue to share them with us next season when they come back to the pond. :)
Wait what? There's geese in Dartmouth? I love across the river where are they? :) might have to visit sometime
You sound like a good man ,I wish youhave a wonderful life ahead of you
Absolutely freaking adorable haha!!!!!!!!👍🏻👍👍🏼👍🏾
Thank you!! 😊
"Hype goose" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I am happy crying and yes, her running up to you is EXACTLY what that feels like. Maybe even more heart warming because your kid recognizes you/voice but you earned her trust and that must be such a super sweet feeling.
Incredible!!🐣🐤🐥🦢🦢🦢
God i love when humans and animals bond. There's nothing better...
Wonderful! ❤
Such a beautiful story and healing my heart ❤ Hope they’re doing well 😊
Animals are so honest in their reaction. If they like you, it says a lot about you. 👏👏👏👏
Magical to watch. The trust between you both, then connection. My cat is like that, most days she sits on our sofa & looks out the window 🪟.If it is too hard to motivate myself she seems to understand & sits by me.🇦🇺♥️
the love of an animal is always pure and justified, you have to earn it by being a kind and loving person and this man definitely is.
this is gold
This was a heart warming story.
I find it so cool that you are part of thier flock and that they let you near Sam when he was young.
In the words of old Satchmo "And I think to myself, what a wonderful world"
adorable creatures, I love them 👍🙋🥰
Sam loves you SOOOOOOOOOOO much❤
Canada gooses are majestics! Barrel-chested! THE ENVIES OF ALL ORNITHOLOGIES!
Such a beautiful story.
thank you for sharing this story! sam truly is a fun animal to seem you can hang around with, thats really awesome how they all trust you😀
This made my entire day warming my heart and soul- ❤
Pilgrim geese are beautiful, I have both roman and pilgrims. Their so sweet.
These ones are Embden
@@SullivansGoose Oops, sorry! They look like pimgrims!
This goes to show you, if you're nice to animals, they'll be nice to you. What a beautiful animal, I ❤️ animals... until they attack you.
Kann dieses wundern über diese unerwartete Nähe sehr gut nachvollziehen. Darf es selbst erleben, es ist ein Geschenk 👍❣️
"I can understand this wonder about this unexpected closeness very well. May experience it for yourself, it's a gift" :)
@@SullivansGoose 🎁 ja das ist es wirklich 😀
I was happy watching this, happy about the story, happy for you and for them.
At home, my mum and I care about the small birds in our garden. They won't get really near to us, of course, but we are just happy to see them regularly return to get food or make use of the tiny houses we built for them to spend the winter in or raise their younglings in. Not quite the same as yours, but kind of the same feeling if you watch them do their things in your direct surroundings.
This video is like a best of compilation of the regular goose videos I love it!
Sweet
This is so cute! God bless you and Sam's heart.
Cuuute
Teared up a lil
this is the video to watch when you are having a bad day, so cool man
Love is love and it''s everywhere, I'm happy to see people vibration on the same frequency of love 😍
That goose shooing the duck off was pretty funny.
I too love animals and can totally see why you'd rather hang out with them over people
He is a great man. You can always judge a person by how he treats animals. Bless people like him. Hope my man doing okay❤
He treats some animals great on camera. Could be forcing himself on kids off camera. We’d never know if he’s a “great man” from a RUclips video lol.
@@Ch0senJuan its my assumption
Love your videos. Thank you for sharing this heartwarming story. I would love to visit this beautiful lake. Merry Christmas .. from 🏴 🇬🇧
How sweet! Bless her lil heart, she was so excited to see you! Bless ur heart for being kind to these guys, I imagine ur kind to all animals! ❤
I was taught a long time ago, that you can always and accurately judge the calibre of a person by how they treat animals. You Sir, are a good man, no doubt about it.
Thank you for that :)
I think I'm gonna cry
Thank you... beautiful!
Wonderful 👍🥰
Love Geese. Thanks for posting an excellent video. 🤍🧡🤍
i relate to you so much in being an animal person and not a people person..
It's a love story, can't deny it.
Nice brother... I thin that Lil goose thought you're his father 😂
I feel you, Sullivan, I feel you.
I remember someone telling me many years ago, that families & children come in all shapes & sizes, and we don’t have to be bound by the expectation to have our own human kids. But we can be just as important in the world of other beings. Seems like you found a very special family 😊 🪿
Thanks so much :)
I love Sam
When we walk each morning these geese come running out to greet us with shouts of joy
Man got rizz with animals
❤❤❤❤❤
How cute is this story!
Beautiful!
What a wonderful story. Thank you!

Love is a universal language understood by a every specie.
I mean what more can a man want in life? but know of a true family he never knew he had
wonderful
Next time a gosling is born name it Ryan (Ryan Gosling)
The geese didn't feel threatened by you before, but when they saw Sam excited to see you they accepted you into the flock. That's the sweetest and coolest thing you could get out of a goose
