Who would have thought... I was thinking plug in the Send and Return on the Helix and the amp and off you go. No! This was great and makes perfect sense. Thank you!
So I'm guessing pretty much the same for HX Stomp? I got the stomp just to use for effects in the loop. This saved me sooo much of a headache. Thanks!!! I was kinda scratching my head as well. I didnt want to do a 4CM.
Thanks for the video . I Tried this method but I got problems with the volume control . I can’t control the volume . I tried to ply with setting but nothing changed
Jer.... why not run 4CM so you can mess with effects in front and the loop? I have my HX Effects in 4CM and I find when dialling in sounds some times an effect sounds better in the front of the amp Vs the Loop and vice versa.
im loving the sound of this with my Double Rectifier my question is,im running the Helix just as FX into the FX loop of My Mesa Boogie Double Rectifier, how can i get anymore FX on a second line when i pull down that line & put blocks aster the split,i don't get any sound on anything except the top line with the blocks on it?
hey there! make sure that your output block at the end of your top path is set to Path 2a (I’m not at home but I believe that’s what it’s called). This should do it but I’ll double check when I get home.
@@JeremyVarao it is but i can sound out path 2a if clear the blocks on the 2 lines below,on some things like fx loop dosen't get sound unless on the top line & the harmonizer sounded distorted no matter where you put it
Got two amp heads for stereo rig with an eventide h9 and helix stomp, want to put them together in the fx loop of the amps. I am nuts by now because I cannot make it work with the helix stomp, all ok with the eventide just wiring and play. Any help would be just lovely! Take care
Why not 4cm not all effects work well on 2cm i tried this again and again. 4cm is the best way using your good amp like mine im using EVH which has Midi so you can control the amp channels
I ha e struggled with it from the time I got it home for a year gave up . I got it to use with my amp and noting just a nightmare for me. I'm not really a computer guy what so ever. When I got it sweetwater said ow ya it's really easy ya my ass. It just sites in the corner of my jam room now. It was a huge waste of money on my half.
Thank you 😎🤙 I thought it was simple, too.

Wow! Thanks for this. Picked up a helix LT and want it to compliment my EVH amp/cab/pedals. Works perfect!
Wow you simplified this heavy!!! Thanks
Glad it helped!
Excellent vid, as always, Jer! Thanks for continuing to rawk!!!!!
BTW - that P90 LP is KILLING me.... my son, too \m/ \m/
Thanks brother! It sounds killer goosed with the Buxom Boost!
Hey great videos! What happened to #7 and 8? Can't seem to find them.
Same here
I’m confused - why do all that instead of just putting the helix in the FX loop of an amp? It’s the same thing, isn’t it?

Yeah should be the same process. What screwed ME up was I kept the input/output as “Multi” and started with an FX Loop Block. Was getting no signal.
@@JeremyVarao The documentation I have is basically saying go in front of the amp. I prefer to use analog effects before the amp.
great trick.
Would a line 6 helix rack work with a boss katana mk2 amp?

Agreed. The 4 cable method is much more versatile.
Are you using a trackball? That has to be the the most spastic mousing I've ever seen!
Ha! Know. Just a crowded desk and small space for mouse movement. You can hear me lifting it up and down.
