As a singer and former clarinet player myself, I have so much respect for Chloe on this. The breath control needed to switch from instrument to vocals so quickly is tremendous -- that was truly impressive.

When I saw the song title I thought back to my younger days when it had first come out. And I thought to myself “ huh? How’s that going to work?”🤔 Then I listened and right away I’m like “ohhhhh! Of course!”it works brilliantly. So cool!

Bradlee is a genius. The breadth of what he can arrange is endless. (Also not a bad piano player. 😉)
This is brilliant. The contrast between the upbeat instrumentals with the dark and moody lyrics (and the original) is stellar. And the bridge! So good. I'd call this one of PMJ's all-time greats.

This is only the second video I’ve seen with Chloe and she’s fabulous. Her voice or her clarinet are awesome. Together with her stage presence and WOW!
I've never heard her play any oboe. In this recording, she played a clarinet. The two instruments differ in sound and the way they are made. The oboe, for instance, has a double reed, while the clarinet has a single reed.

It's wonderful when an artist can put their own interpretation on another artist's work. This young woman put a fresh perspective on this Depeche Mode song. Add to that she's a dynamo! Singing, and playing the clarinet. Wow!!

We need more Depeche Mode Jazz cover. One of the most brilliant adaptation yall have done in a while. It fits so well with this era.
It’s both true to the original Depeche Mode song and at the same time infused with a completely new jazz element.
