But it was because at our venue, the lyrics were muddied by FAR too much amping, and the lighting "engineer" preferred to blast the audience with near-constant orange jolt panels and eye-stabbing, unfiltered white cluster blinders at 40,000 lumens. Effie's performance as shown here makes me cry, at home, for the feels, which is why I went to the concert in the first place. Won't bother seeing it again at my local venue -- what a waste of a VIP ticket.

For this song, her spin matched that, as opposed to her rendition of say “Seven Nation Army” which has a much more swanky vibe, where her natural sex appeal really comes through. That said, it’s certainly not a beauty contest, but for a total performance standpoint, I know we’ll all get something different out of it, and I definitely do love and appreciate Haley’s version, but for my personal taste in music, Effie’s take on it absolutely blew me away. Her classically trained voice adds something different to it that, for me, takes it to a whole different level.

Haley's studio performance is something that can't be replaced, but if you look up some of her live performances of Creep, you'll see why Effie's is so impressive

We are in Toronto and heard her with PMJ last night and she actually brought tears to my eyes as I may have heard the greatest voice ever. She tore up the auditorium, the audience was on its feet before she ended and going nuts. She topped her performance in this video. In total awe
I am not sure everyone has given enough praise for the amazing musicianship that propels her amazing vocal. That last minute or so was insanely engrossing.
I go back to this performance regularly. It’s one of three songs in my long life that brought me to my knees. The power and passion is beyond description and I thank you for sharing your gift Effie.
