God... now that he's gone, that "when are you going to die?" line hits hard. R.I.P Richard Lewis.
Richard loved being on that show. It was better with him. I loved seeing him and.larry togethef.
Good news is, I'm still alive.
Dammit, I knew someone would beat me to it
LOL I ran here today just because I knew it was coming... This ages well as far as both of these 2 are concerned I'm sure
Makes it so much funnier. RIP Lewis.
The substitute teachers designer warehouse....genius.
Blam!
That was delivered with such poise, he was so proud of that line. Just phenomenal.
Ka-boom, truth bomb, ha ha.
I got a real kick out of this as today was my first day as a substitute teacher. 😅
That is epicness at its best
I would watch an entire episode of just Larry and Richard talking in a theater during a movie or event
Right on
The early seasons when they could do physical comedy was incredible
@@ghostface216 You really know how to put a downer on things, don't you?
Same here these two are amazing.
Like the two guys on the muppet show
I love how authentic Larry and Richard’s relationship is; it’s palpable from the way how they talk to each other.
Rest in peace Richard Lewis
This is so apparent with the When are you gonna die comment, cause you could tell Larry just improvised that and was cracking himself up with it and Richard didnt expect it and cracked a smile.
The entire improv ending with " when are you gonna die" and the laughter from both after cracks me up
the best part is its all improvised so you can tell they're genuinely having a good time
Today. Thats when. RIP Richard.
@@marcoe1722imagine replying to a 2yr old comment as if you’re breaking news to them😂😂😂 dork
As much as I love seeing Susie normally telling Larry to get the f out at the end of their convo's, it is nice to see them end a conversation amicably for once lol
Reminds me of their agreement about Andy being bad at middling.
Don't forget when he gave her the portrait)
Indeed! That ending was lovely
They remind me of brother and sister they always fight but the next conversation they have always starts amicably - there’s no actual bad blood there lol
Can't stand her
“When are you going to die?” It’s the funniest things I’ve ever heard
I will be adding this to my friendly conversations
Larry has a knack for saying what we're all thinking.
I feel like Larry probably took 10 takes to get through that moment lol
@@bernlin2000 and THAT was the best one. That was not acting, that was genuine glee in delivery of that line.
Richard Lewis looked like he almost cracked up on that one.
“When are you gonna die?” My side still hurts from that line! Richard Lewis would say he and Larry lost it after that line…you can see the edit. Fricking hilarious! RIP Richard Lewis!
I noticed the edit and thought it probably was due to them losing it. Now, reading the comments and realizing the other guy really died, it makes it more... something.
I love that Richard Lewis got involved. “Why don’t you be quiet??”
The only thing that makes me sad is that you can see Richard is still recovering from his 3 surguries he had in the past six months (it's almost a miracle that he was able to do this one episode)
@@jamesrawlins735 Even recovering from 3 sugeries, he's more funny than actual comedians.
Prince John and Latrine from Men in Tights
@@pgorodiloff "Used to be shithouse!"
It’s like, you don’t get to talk shit to my friend. Only I get to talk shit to my friend.
"You hate people"...."I do so what...lol"
One of the best lines.😄
RIP Richard, one of the best. This show really exposed people to his work and was one of Larry's closest friends. I hope LD is doing ok right now.
Such a hilarious scene. Everyone will look back fondly on this scene, and this entire show for many, many years to come.
RIP Richard Lewis.
1:20 Only Larry and Richard could have had this conversation and it be so fucking funny. Missing you already Richard Lewis!
i like that suzie and larry have grown closer over the years through their grumpiness. haha she actually smiles at him now lol
Their encounters always start off positively, but Larry invariably pisses her off.
He did a great job sounding like the most generic politician ever
"I wanna work for you. I need your vote. Thank you."
Blah blah blah infrastructure blah blah Education blah blah blah job creation 😂
@@MisfitsFiendClub138 cant believe how dumb people are that still go and listen to these crooked politicians, nothing but horse manure coming out from their mouths
Richard died today. Larry sobbed over his best friend in life.
"When are you gonna die, will you please die"....when Larry laughs, you can see the real affection he had for Richard ....so sad knowing what happened now but these 2 men really cared about each other....Rest In Peace Richard ~~
A scene I knew would age like a fine wine. Thank you for all the laughs Richard.
"You two have been talking and talking and talking and talking" I lost my shit with how she said that.
Same! I rewinded like half a dozen times
"Where you got that dress anyway? Substitute teacher warehouse?" xD
1:20 Richard mentioned that this is the scene that broke Larry up more than any other time in Curb's history...I think you can see a lot of editing especially here lol. So great to see Richard again!!
You aren't going to see him again 😢
Larry and Richard- New Yorkers busting each others balls like only New Yorkers can...
It's beautiful, love it!
"Your wardrobe sucks."
LMAO
I cracked up with this... tottaly unexpected remark
Lmao is this first time Larry and Susie end a conversation with a smile
If they didn't really like each other there is no way Jeff would be enough to keep them interacting. They love to hate each other.
I feel like they respect eachothers crazy and dedication to it more than they are annoyed by it all
They’re getting more amicable this season
Once a season or so they'll agree and occasionally team up, and even occasionally compliment each other. It is weird seeing a smile on Sussie's face after an interaction with Larry tho.
BecUse he complimented her and she is 100% ego.
“You mid-level celebrities…” Hillarious!!
"you think youre so smart with all your banter, just stop" pretty sick burn actually, a lot of celebrities are indeed in love with their own voice, especially Hollywood types
This one is a bit sad now, but Larry telling Richard to die is still one of the funniest things ever
Aside from when Larry gifted Susie the self-portrait, I have never seen Susie express genuine appreciation or love towards Larry as at the end of this clip.
Idk, I think this is the crux that makes LD characters so enjoyable to watch. If she was always the bulldog they portray her as, I’d never want her on the screen, but they mix in those normal conversations where positivity comes out, and it’s refreshing and rejuvenates my thoughts on the character. I think that’s a major theme in LDs characters and also helps make him more relatable/ the dialogue so so funny
This new season seems to have them working together a bunch
"Love" is a strong word for any character on this show.
I like mean Susie.
Only because he complimented her
Richard: "I'm one of the best dressed comics who ever lived" 😂😂
Watching this in honor of the late Richard Lewis. I'm happy to have read his book too. Such a good soul.
Fun fact: Richard Lewis was digitally de-aged for this scene. Absolutely breathtaking.
In what sense?
That software needs a little work…
Lol thought he was dead
I've been looking at a bunch of random current photos. He looks OK for 74 years old.
He's looking like Kirk Douglas almost
RIP Richard Lewis. Larry's wish finally came true 😂
RIP Richard Lewis, Thank you for all the hilarious moments you’ve given us
I hope Larry is happy.
"We have an obligation imbalance."
I can't wait to use that line on a friend.
#LarryIsAlwaysRight
I think I’ll use it with my wife.
Friend? … … …not after that.
@@kevinberger3501 This statement was from 1 day ago... did you survive?
@@Drukendru she has a lot of work for me to do. She’s keeping me alive…for now.
Richard Lewis is a proper legend. So glad he was able to make it to set for this one scene.
Is he ill?
@@georgejohnson5904 yeah he’s not well
when was he well @@awesomefrankrapid
Larry has a perfect way of expressing things I've felt but never put into words... 'an obligation imbalance'. LD is a master.
Richard looks like he's 10 minutes away from death .
Which is why Larry asked him when he was going to die
He just died. Feb 27th. RIP
You were off by 525,600 minutes but close enough.
"Non Pros love it when actors tell them what to think" Perfect sentence to describe Hollywood arrogance
Larry's reaction to that made me choke on my water...the silence with that grin.
What a mouthful
2:31 that stock "ooohmp!" sound is so hilarious 😂
I did notice that when watching the show last night. Didn't even notice it watching this video clip. Now, I notice it.
It is funny!!!!!
1:22 There. That's Larry's 10000% genuine laugh there.
RIP Richard Lewis. One of the funniest characters in tv history
I love Richard..such a great comedian....truly, I think Larry and Richard are amazing together....the natural chemistry is absolutely incredible. They ain't acting..it's way beyond acting!
"Acting without Acting"
Look closer. Ricard is not actually there. He is put in after the fact.
@@PikesvilleAl ??
@@armybirds Lewis was filmed alone in front of a green
screen
@@PikesvilleAl i don't think that's true
Richard is back! 👏
Lmao Richard backs up Larry, that’s the best 🤣
"When are you gonna die?"
He did die.... today. I love you Richard Lewis. We all did.
Tracey Ullman was brilliant in this episode. Some of the established actors who do cameo roles in Curb try a bit too hard. Tracey played it great and fits into Curb perfectly. I hope she's in more future episodes.
Fantastic, out Larrying Larry.
She really is a fine character actor, more than I think she gets credit for (especially in "The States").
one of the best things this season is finally getting her to do the show.
Damn, it's Tracy 😅
I couldn't tell she was really hidden in that character. That's her thing
Dylan O'Brien is a perfect example. Tried waaaaay too hard, dropping F bombs all over the place.
Tracey Ullman is a legend.
Oh man that’s who that is! Thank you
I thought that was her! She is awesome! Would love her to be a regular
She does a great humours version of Angela Merkel is such a thing exists, 😁🤣😂
@@davidwilliams-rr7bb get over yourself. Anyway, the real bit is her Merkel and Nicola Sturgeon interacting: Merkel calling Sturgeon, yelling "stop copying my look!"
@@joereadelI recognised her, but the name wouldn't come :)
Rest in Peace Richard Lewis thank you for all the great laughs on the show 🥹
They couldn't keep it straight during this scene lmfao 🤣 "when are you going to die?"
The look on Richard's face after Larry delivers that line is priceless.
Today. He died today. RIP Lewis. Thanks for all the laughs.
Well… Fuck it! It’s still hilarious! 😂 😂. May his memory be a blessing.
Notice how this pool didn’t have a five foot fence around it. Amazing irony.
RIP Richard ❤
man, richard lewis really took a turn. he looked so much younger than larry just a few years ago
1:20 That would be today 😞
the only scene where larry leaves without being told to leave by suzy
I love these two. Larry and Richard are such great friends and comedic genuines
Some many great moments just in the clip. While I love Larry's incredulous "As what?" in response to "As artists...", end moment is a gem: Tracy Ullman breathily saying "Compost. That's very important."
RIP to a boss.
“When are you gonna die?” Brutal to come across this video today.
"when are ya gonna die? would you just die?" , "where did you get that dress anyway the substitute teacher designer warehouse?"
1:10 my favorite Larry reaction ever. Love when Richard cracks him up!
Ask, Larry, and you shall receive. RIP
Susie managed to not say 'What the fuck is wrong with you' in an entire clip she was in. That's gotta be a new record
I really appreciate the scenes, where Larry and Susie are genuinely nice to each other. Their relationship seems more real then.
Rest in peace Richard Lewis
RIP Richard
Feburary 27th, 2024, Larry, you freak of fuckin' nature!
Rest in Peace Richard. We love you so much ❤
Rare footage of Suzy and Larry getting along.
theyve been getting along alot lately. Something tells me they end up together by the end of the series LMAO
@@BlakesCooking They have good chemistry like when they planned to change the middle at that dinner party.
This hits different now :/ RIP Richard Lewis
RIP Richard Lewis a true comedic genius - you'll be sadly missed by millions. 😢
RIP Mr.Lewis
@2:12. Now I see why Larry David and Richard Lewis are friends. They both hate the same people.
I was so excited to see Tracey Ullman in this episode. She's a comedic legend and to see her and Richard Lewis back on screen together brought back memories of when they were in Robin Hood: Men In Tights.
Latrine! 🤣

Well... this will be a tough rewatch
Love seeing Tracy Ullman show her genius. To see she and Susie together is so awesome
Normal people love when actors tell them what they think...oh God that's such gold

It really did i cant believe Richard and bob enstien arent here anymore 😥😥😥 it was much better with them in it i feel so bad for larry and the rest of the cast susy essmen jeff garlin and jb smooth cheryl heines must be crying thier eyes out to

The obligation imbalance in friendships is such a real thing. 😂😂😂

I think Richard Lewis is the funniest character on TV he’s not even trying Lmaoo
“Why don’t you be quiet ! “ Lewis shot back ,at the mean girl telling them to be quiet .

When he try’s to bypass her and she elbows him in the gut 🤣🤣🤣
